The NBA Finals also started last night and talk about why I would never use the phrase "no chance" when discussing the NBA and why Scottie Pippen's comments rubbed me the wrong way.

It's overreaction Monday in the NFL once again and this week was no different. There are a few things that I saw during the Chiefs/Ravens game that pissed me off, but it wasn't on the field. I'll discuss that and some Paul Pierce comments.

I discuss why I am losing faith in Carson Wentz little-by-little every single week and discuss a heavily scrutinized decision made by Doug Pederson that was actually the RIGHT decision. Jimmy Butler made a lot of Sixers fans unhappy when he decided to join the Miami Heat as opposed to staying with the Philadelphia 76ers, but we obviously are ALL idiots and he knew exactly what he was doing. I also talk about the different levels of the NBA and why the Lakers & Nuggets are playing two different games essentially. My fandom for Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew was put to the test tonight, as he did not have a good game at all against the Miami Dolphins.Â
Today I tell you why the Lakers blew a HUGE opportunity last night, even though they still technically control the series with a 2-1 lead. I also tell you why I feel bad for Tyrod Taylor because of something similar that happened to him in 2017 while he was with the Buffalo Bills. The word "underrated" needs to stop being used SO MUCH in sports and I will tell you why it bothers me in not only football, but in basketball as well.Â
The Eagles lose...again. To make matters worse, The Cowboys won a game that they had NO business winning and it was like Final Destination around the NFL. After years of defending Carson Wentz, I finally give in just a little bit on what type of quarterback he really may be. The defense has no playmakers and it may get worse before it gets any better. I tell you why. I also talk a little NBA, including why LeBron James should not be worried about any MVP awards right now. Just ask Kobe Bryant.
I talk about the Clippers' disappointing loss against the Nuggets, which robbed me of the Western Conference Finals series that I really wanted to see, and I talk about who I am rooting for in the Eastern Conference Finals series. I discuss the Eagles NUMEROUS injuries and in the wake of Alvin Kamara & Dalvin Cook getting their big paydays, why I would be wary of paying an NFL Running Back big money.
The Eagles lost their opening week game, which was Doug Pederson's first ever Week 1 loss, but it's not time to panic just yet. I also talk a little Lakers/Clippers at the end and explain why The Clippers need to take care of business this Tuesday against the Nuggets.
Today I talk about why I'm not at all upset about the Sixers getting bounced out in the First Round in the playoffs (although the team that it happened against was not my favorite part about it). Was the "Process" a success or a failure? I talk about that a little bit and also why Brett Brown had to go even though he's a good coach. When does trash talk go too far? Did Montrezl Harrell take it too far with his trash-talk against Luka Doncic?? I also talk about how I am not ready AT ALL for the upcoming NFL season.

Today I talk about how the Astros are the biggest benefactors from this Coronavirus pandemic that is currently going on in the world, what I need to find out from Tom Brady when he suits up for the Tampa Bay Buccanneers, and why the new NFL CBA is a good thing for the league and its players...unless I am completely missing something here. I also discuss Jalen Mills (my favorite Eagles player) re-signing with the Birds at a new position and also thanking Malcolm Jenkins for a solid six seasons of service.Â
Rudy Gobert tested positive for the Coronavirus, which resulted in the Jazz-Thunder game being cancelled, which ultimately led to the NBA suspending the season indefinitely. I talk about what that means as a sports fan, and why the NHL should follow suit very shortly.
Episode #53!!! Today I start off with a story of how I lost $50 to a friend by betting on the Sixers/Lakers game, which was silly in hindsight but at the time of the bet Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid were expected to be in the lineup. I also delve a little into the Sixers season the rest of the way, including how I honestly cannot remember the last time they won on the road off the top of my head. Zion Williamson is the Rookie of the Year and Giannis is the MVP in my eyes, and I will explain why. I also explain why I'm #TeamGiannis in the war of words between him and James Harden. I have thoughts on this Spike Lee-Knicks situation as well, and I can understand both perspectives. Steph Curry should be returning to the court soon and I really just do not see the point, and Nick Foles could be traded soon. I also am tired of this Tom Brady story being shoved down my throat.
I had an idea recently about some of the biggest moments in sports history and it made me think about what if one unfortunate event was changed. Â Questions like what if Michael Jordan hadn't hit the game winning shot in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals? What if Kevin Dyson didn't get tackled one yard short as time expired in Super Bowl XXXIV? What if Ray Allen hadn't hit the game tying three pointer in Game 6 in the 2013 NBA Finals? Those and more questions are asked and discussed in this episode. I'm not a huge boxing fan but Deontay Wilder suffered his first loss against Tyson Fury this past weekend so I discuss the disappointing outcome. I also discuss Zion Williamson's chances at winning Rookie of the Year this season.
Today I talk about why NBA fans need to get over the Aaron Gordon-Derrick Jones Jr. slam dunk contest result and I discuss the new format for the All-Star game and how I hope a legend like Kobe Bryant doesn't have to die for the game to stay this interesting. Spring Training is under way so the Astros and other teams around the MLB are going to have to start answering questions about Houston's involvement in the cheating scandal. I also discuss the handful of teams in the NBA that have a legitimate chance at winning a championship and who my new favorite NBA player is as of right now. Drew Brees is returning for another season and Joe Burrow will be entering the NFL as well, so I talk a little about why he should not "pull an Eli" with the Bengals, because no  #1 pick has ever gone to a great team.
In episode #50, I talk about the Sixers' big win over the Clippers, and how I wish they could treat it like a circus and take this show on the road, why I still would choose Simmons over Embiid (if need be), Phillip Rivers HOF chances, Giannis Antetokounmpo's MVP chances, and the XFL.
Football season is officially over and it's time that we make the transition to the NBA season. The trade deadline just passed and we have a few deals to discuss, including the Sixers getting some much needed help at shooting with the addition of Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III, the Rockets going completely small and D'Angelo Russell getting traded yet again. The Sixers are unraveling right now and it seems to be getting worse with different members of the team taking subtle shots at each other in the media. I also talk about Kevin Durant's burner Twitter account and why it's a good thing for him. That and much more NBA talk on episode #49.
The Super Bowl has come and gone and yet another NFL season is in the books. It was not a disappointing send off though, because the 49ers and the Chiefs gave us a great game to end the NFL's 100th season. I talk about why we need to give Kyle Shanahan a break, although there was one monumental mistake that even I cannot cut him slack on. Patrick Mahomes seemed to be having a pretty average game by his standards but he came alive in the 4th quarter. I was pretty indifferent about this game because I didn't know who to root for, because as a football fan and historian I had my reasons for cheering for both teams. I am so happy for Andy Reid but I cannot help but feel a little bad for Kyle Shanahan, but hey, life goes on. I also defend Richard Sherman and explain why I hate this social media age (most of the time), and call out one of the worst calls in this game (no, not that one). I also discuss which team between the two has a better chance at not only getting back to the Super Bowl next year but enjoying sustained success.
Devin Booker & Bradley Beal were both snubbed from their respective All-Star teams, but instead of telling you about snubs and not offering a solution, I tell you exactly who they should be replacing. I also want the All-Star game to go back to the old format of doing things, because at this point, they're just trying anything. I talk about the Sixers with their Jekyll & Hyde act this season and how the Indiana Pacers put so much fear into my heart. Â Super Bowl Sunday is coming up so I thought I would look back on some of my favorite memories (including my very first) from the big game, what the game means to me and I look ahead to this Sunday's matchup and what I think will happen. Spoiler alert: I don't know.
Kobe Bryant's death still doesn't feel real, and I talk a little about some of the changes that are being made around the NBA with the aftermath of his death, like players deciding not to wear #8 or #24 anymore and some people wanting the league to change the logo to Kobe and replace Jerry West. I talk a little more about the Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid partnership, and I have reached my final conclusion. For now. Speaking of Philly partnerships, Terrell Owens went on "Undisputed" to defend himself against Donovan McNabb's recent comments about him..and I will tell you why T.O. is  not only wrong, but out of line with what he said. I get into a little discussion about the upcoming Super Bowl, as this gap between conference championship weekend and Super Bowl Sunday is driving me crazy. I think Jimmy Garoppolo may need to win this game, which, call me crazy, but I think he can do it. Although, if he cannot do it, the 49ers still have a great chance to win, because history tells us that great defenses often beat great offenses in the big game.Â
I bring a guest co-host with me, Ruenisha on this episode to talk about Kobe Bryant. Ruenisha is a Riverside, CA native until she moved here to Philly in 2012, so I thought it would be cool to talk about someone who was in the L.A. area during the peak Kobe Bryant years. We discuss her favorite Kobe memory, what it was like growing up in the Kobe era and what the "Mamba Mentality" means to her. She also has one prized possession that she has held on for a few years now. It was fun talking with someone who lived through that era so I hope you enjoy the episode!
It's been 15 years since Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens shared a football field together, but for some reason, they are still feuding with each other. I ask one simple question! Why do Eagles fans not have McNabb's back the way we have other player's backs that have played here. I also talk about Zion Williamson's debut and why the Pelicans were absolutely right so monitor his minutes. I was happy about Joel Embiid making the All-Star team for ONE reason only, and I talk about Derek Jeter making the Hall of Fame and also Eli Manning's chances of making the HOF.
Most people watched this documentary as a fan of a cool new Netflix documentary, but watching it as a football fan that watched Aaron Hernandez on a weekly basis, the project broke my heart because while some people may see a murderer, I see a guy who was struggling and was going through an identity crisis and someone who was always trying to prove to be tough because that is the mantra that he thought he had to put up. I also talk about how I wish we as a society could finally accept a gay athlete, and there is only one way that is going to happen.
We have made it to episode 42 of this podcast and we have also made it to the Super Bowl. There are a lot of things to talk about with the league and with the two teams that made it to the big game. I will do more of a preview as we get closer to the game, but for now we are looking back. I talk about how there are different tiers of teams in the league and why this was the best matchup of the four teams that made it as far as they did. Between the Chiefs and the 49ers, which team has a better chance at sustained success? I discuss my opinion and talk about what I fear about Patrick Mahomes going forward. Darrelle Revis and Richard Sherman got into a little Twitter battle on Sunday so I discuss why Revis was a little out of line with his criticisms even though they may have been just a little valid. There is also a problem going on in the NBA with the 3-pt shot and while others may see it as being good for the game, I personally would like to see it change just a little. I also talk about Ben Simmons' monster game vs. the Nets yesterday and why the Sixers ultimately HAVE to choose between Simmons & Embiid eventually.
The Astros had to fire their Manager and GM amidst the cheating scandal that they were involved in. I explain why the MLB cannot just take away their World Series title from 2017 even though that seems to be what some people want. I also talk about the trend of NFL players retiring early in their careers and why it may not be good for the league, but it's the best thing for the players that run the league. The Sixers win at home didn't impress me at all because we know they can win at home so I need them to win some road games. I also talk about JJ Redick's recent comments on today's NBA players and why I agree with him.
In Episode #40 of this podcast, I go back and look at the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs and also look ahead to Championship round matchups. The Titans have surprised pretty much everyone but this weekend will be their toughest test and I'll tell you why. I also tell you why NFL fans need to stop being so complacent about their teams, why Aaron Rodgers needs to get over the fact that he was passed on by the 49ers in 2005, why having a franchise QB is everything, but not the ONLY thing, and why we shouldn't jump off the Ravens hype train just yet moving forward. This and much more NFL talk! And a LITTLE Sixers talk. Just a little.
The Eagles had to make a tough decision in letting Mike Groh & Carson Walch go from their coaching staff. A new change may be coming on the defensive side as well with Jim Schwartz interviewing for the Brown Head Coaching job, but I will tell you why we should not be quick to give Schwartz his "good riddance" just yet. Joel Embiid may be out for a while after having to undergo surgery for his hand issue, and I will tell you why it's obviously a bad thing, but there are some bright spots if you think about it. I get into that and their big win against the Celtics and how they have beaten the C's 3 times!! Yes!! Three times! The rivalry is finally shifting to our favor! I also talk about a few NBA beefs, one on the court between Jimmy Butler & T.J. Warren and one off the court on Twitter between former teammates Kevin Durant & Kendrick Perkins. We also need to let go of this attitude towards Durant because it happened four years ago at this point and the jokes are getting old and I'll tell you why it's a good thing that Durant engages in social media arguments (with some people). I also look ahead to Divisional weekend in the NFL and predict what I think will happen.
What a fun year the 2019 NFL Season was! We have ushered in a new era of mobile QB's with guys like Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Deshaun Watson & Carson Wentz and it's getting close to the end of the Aaron Rodgers, Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger & Tom Brady era. I discuss Christian McCaffrey & Michael Thomas doing great things on the field, why Nick Foles will not be the Jaguars starting quarterback next season, and why people need to let up on the Bears picking Mitchell Trubisky over Mahomes & Watson. The NFC seemed to be the superior conference but I will tell you why this weekend's Wild-Card weekend showed us that we really don't know anything at all. The New England dynasty seems to finally be over, and I look at their first Super Bowl win and see how far they have come. I also make MY picks (not predictions) for all of the major end-of-season awards and discuss what things I would change if I were commissioner for a day. Hint, one of them has to do with pass interference challenges.

The Eagles are riding a three-game winning streak, but they need one more win to seal the division crown. In this episode I talk about what I think the ceiling is for Miles Sanders, why Carson Wentz coming up big in the biggest game of his career was huge for his legacy, and why I cannot wait to wake up tomorrow morning and watch Skip Bayless cry like a baby. It feels good to beat the Cowboys finally, especially after the ugly and embarrassing loss to them earlier this season. We have a two-for-two weekend for the Philly/Dallas rivalry as the Sixers take on the Mavericks on Friday and the Eagles take on the Cowgirls...I mean, Cowboys as they try to win the division. I talk about the weather and why I wish things were different in that aspect, and also why it's a good thing that this is Carson Wentz' biggest game of his career, and why I wasn't talking as much trash as I did during their first matchup. I get into some Sixers talk also, as I have come to the conclusion that the team needs a closer and that Ben Simmons doesn't need to shoot, but there is something else that he has to do. I also make my picks for Week 16, with one simple rule.
So with the aftermath of Drew Brees breaking Peyton Manning's passing touchdown record, I noticed there was a lot of talk of him being considered the greatest QB of all-time so I decided to look into some of the numbers of not only Brees, but other top QB's in NFL history for a discussion about who should be considered the "best" quarterback ever. I also name my top-10 (really, top 9) QB's in history. I talk a little about the Pro Bowl voting, including Lane Johnson not being particularly happy about being snubbed, but I talk about why it doesn't matter to me. A lot more NFL talk, also.
The Eagles stayed alive in what has been yet another roller coaster of a season and I discuss Boston Scott & Miles Sanders being used a LOT together moving forward, how Big V played, and when exactly the Birds defense struggles the most. In this episode, I talk about how there is way more parity in the NFC than there is in the AFC, as I dive into which teams I see coming out of each conference this season when it's all said and done. I also talk about Jameis Winston, who no one is talking about, but he has had some great moments (another 4,000 yard passing season & and two away from setting career high in TD's) but he's also had some bad moments this season as he leads the league in INT's. The Texans blew an opportunity for (what we thought was) an easy win and the Chiefs picked up an impressive road win against the Patriots. The Eagles pulled off an impressive (that may be a subjective word) overtime win against the Giants on Monday Night Football and they still control their own destiny as far as getting into the postseason. I don't care what happens next but I'm going to enjoy this win for what it is -- a WIN! Doug Pederson had a REALLY great game as far as play calling and decision making, Boston Scott & Miles Sanders did the heavy lifting for the running backs, Greg Ward held it down for the very shorthanded wide receiver core, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside even made a big play. The defense did their thing as well, outside of two big plays. I talk about it all and two of Pederson's decisions that I agree with.
Week after week, the Eagles have had golden opportunities to at least tie for the NFC East division lead, if not take over first place, and with the Cowboys losing once again on National T.V., the Birds find themselves in prime position to move into a first place tie on Monday Night Football when they face their old friend, Eli Manning. The Sixers also lost another road game and until they start to win road games consistently, they are not ready to take that next step into the NBA's elite. The Rockets were in the news for a blown call by the refs, but they blew the game themselves so there's no one else to blame. I also explain why I would love to see James Harden average 40 PPG this season, although I don't necessarily like his game. I also make my NFL Week 14 Pick-6 picks.

Well, when you're a fan of an NFL team, you win some and you lose....well, all of them apparently. The Eagles pretty much hit rock bottom with a devastating loss to the lowly Miami Dolphins, and it may have been their worst loss since at least 2010. This loss was definitely not on the offense but they did play some part in the result, and I talk about both sides of the ball. The 49ers & Seahawks just played one of the best games of the decade and it proves that this rivalry is back in full effect! Week 10 was a crazy one, with Kansas City, Indianapolis, New Orleans and Buffalo all suffering losses that could prove costly in one way or another by season's end. The NFL is really top heavy this season because we have a bunch of good teams at the forefront...but man, there are some terrible teams at the bottom of the standings. The Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills are two teams that could benefit from a soft schedule, and the Patriots and the Cowboys are two teams that a tough schedule could potentially hurt.
