Prayer is not about bending God to our will, it’s us aligning to God’s will.

You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. Christmas was never meant to be about gifts under a tree. Christmas is always about a gift that died on a tree.

As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. In union with him you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without human hands by stripping off the corrupt nature by the circumcision performed by the Messiah. When you were buried with the Messiah in baptism, you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. Even when you were dead because of your offenses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with him when he forgave us all of our offenses.

Dear friends, do not be surprised by the fiery ordeal that is taking place among you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. Is our physical appearance more important to us than the content of our hearts?
Just as he chose us in the Messiah before the creation of the universe to be holy and blameless in his presence. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself through Jesus the Messiah, according to the pleasure of his will, so that we would praise his glorious grace that he gave us in the Beloved One.

After Moses, the servant of the Lord, had died, the Lord spoke to Nun’s son Joshua, announcing to him, “My servant Moses is dead. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people. It trains us to renounce ungodly living and worldly passions so that we might live sensible, honest, and godly lives in the present age as we wait for the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior, Jesus the Messiah. He gave himself for us to set us free from every wrong and to cleanse us so that we could be his special people who are enthusiastic about doing good deeds.

Jesus is meeting you where you are. Now we might have heard this phrase before. But do we really understand it? Often times we look down on children, thinking that we know better than them. But don’t we realise that we can learn a lot from little children? Jesus even said that the Kingdom of God belong to people like little children. That is so amazing. What is their secret?

Today we are learning from Moses’ humble heart. As a human we sometimes yearn to be successful or at least to “look” successful in people’s eyes. But is that what God wants from us?

Have you ever been so scared to sleep alone when you were a kid? Random thoughts about darkness, monsters, scary animals and other stuff runs through our mind and we just wanted to leave our room and go to our parents’. And then once we’re with them, all those thoughts disappeared leaving no trace at all. How’s that even possible? That was because someone else were with us, in this case, our parents were with us, their presence gave us strength. As we grow up, we have different kind of fears in us. The world overwhelms us with different problems, challenges, things that look impossible for us. But, what if we have someone who is bigger than any of those? What if He is with us?

If God is for us, then who can be against us? We face challenges often, some of us might even be facing one right now. Many times Jesus said not to be afraid, do not fear. However, instead of choosing a mountain-moving faith, we sometimes choose crippling fear. We looked at the early church and see how they made their choice.

Sometimes we look for the wrong source for our sustenance or comfort. We feel that it fills us, but no matter what we feel empty. This is true for the Samaritan woman at the well, until the day she met the spring of life.

As Christian we are caught up in our so-called “holy” calling such as to be a pastor or worship leader. But we all have the same exact purpose and meaning no matter what kind of ministry that we do. The desire was placed in us by God so we can fulfill the purpose. Because in the end, the things of the world will not satisfy us.

Evangelism is something we all are called to do. No matter where we are or what we do, evangelism is the core of our ministry. On his sermon, Ps Dexter looked into Jesus’ own example on how to do evangelism and how it was His first priority, even after killed and sacrificed on the cross.

Jesus was nearly at His final destination when He entered the city of Jericho. Throughout His journey, Jesus changed so many lives for the better. And in this city, He was about to change Zacchaeus’ life. Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector. He was a bully who made a lot of money by taxing his fellow Jews. But on that day, something was going to be taken away from him.

Jane’ shared his story of how God picked him up and changed his life through Compassion. He was sponspored by a couple in Ohio and through that he gained education, safety and most importantly, Jesus. Turns out we all can do something to save someone, one life at a time.

We might know that every human being is sinful and we all fall short of God’s glory. But, do we know how much? Without complete understanding, it is easy for us to just see sin as a scale, where we think that with every good deeds, we “cover” the gap or even erase some of our sins away and we become good again. Discipleship is not optional, it is a command. Jesus told us how to become a disciple, and He didn’t hide any details. There are costs of being a disciple that some of us might have forgotten. Let’s remind ourselves again.

Richard Blake from YWAM Perth helps us understand more about the danger of comparing ourselves to others. Comparison can be the easiest way for us to get into depression and according to the bible, it is a sin. It is easy for us to compare ourselves to others. So how do we overcome it?

Jesus talked about money, finances and wealth much more than we might think. He wants us to be able to manage them properly and not enslaved by them as we cannot serve God and money at the same time. God told us not to be anxious for even the birds on the sky are fed by Him, very much so as our Heavenly Father, He knows our needs and will not abandon us. But do we really understand that with our heart? Can we stop worrying? We hope this message will help you in unlocking life of relationship with God.

Good goalkeepers are willing to throw their body on the line to guard the goal that is entrusted to them. We were entrusted to guard a deposit from God. However, with constant temptation and daily life struggles, it is easy for us to swerve from our faith and neglect our purposes. Can we stay and fight the good fight?

God offers forgiveness for everyone. But have we accepted it? Or are we living with our guilt and shame thinking that God can forgive sins, but not ours? He wants to restore our relationship with Him by by forgiving us, it’s time to put aside our guilt and shame, to repent and actually embrace God’s forgiveness!

In Exodus 14, when Israelites just got out of Egypt, they were chased by Pharaoh and his army. Looking at their slavemasters, the Israelites were terified and cried out to the Lord. Then the Lord saved them by parting the sea and helped them cross. We might be not in the same context of slavery as the Israelites, but nonetheless sin chained us and brought us down. And some of us like it because it gives us temporary comforts. If you can relate to that, listen in. God bless.

A small pebble might seem ordinary, you can find them everywhere. However, in the hands of David, it slays a giant. You might be small, but in God’s eyes, you are precious and He can use you in mighty ways. So are you willing? Are you willing to be made new for His purpose?

Speaking and proclaiming the Gospel can sometimes be a challenge for us. In some part of the world, that challenge might costs us our lives. However, we are not the first to experience persecutions. In the day of the early church, talking about Jesus was no small feat either. People get beat up, thrown into jail or even killed just by doing so. Despite all that, there were some people who boldly proclaimed Jesus in temples where He was hated.

As the children of God, we are not slaves but heirs to the Heavenly Kingdom. God is calling us to claim His inheritance. However, Satan constantly tries to bring fear into our life to replace our faith. Let’s stand firm in our faith, and proclaim what our good Father already prepared for us.

The death of their great leader, Moses, was devastating to the Israelites. However, God did not forsake them and He appointed Joshua as their new leader. It was a big challenge for Joshua, but God reminded him of His promises. Looking back to our daily life, it may be a big challenge for us to continue on the Great Comission. Is it really a bad time to do it at all?

Everyone wants a good neighbour. But are we being exactly that to people around us? It is easy to love people we agree with, ones we share the same passion or values with or even people with the same nationalities and race. However, is that really what God wants in our life? In the chapter of Luke, we follow the story of Levi who was not an ordinary sinner. As a tax collector, he was hated and excommunicated by the Jews.
