In today's episode, Super CyGuy and Hendrick are talking about characters that a lot of their fans, really missed the point on them. From Punisher and Homelander, to the relationship of Joker and Harley Quinn.
In this episode, Super CyGuy and Hendrick discuss the recent outrage over the X-Men franchise and how they've gone "woke". Or in other terms, talk about how people complaining about it, have never paid attention to the actual stories within the X-Men
Joining Super CyGuy on this episode, is longtime co-host Tombstone da Deadman, and friends of the show SPJ, and Hendrik. And here we discuss our Mount Rushmore's of comic characters. All of us, for the most part, took less conventional characters, and at one point, 3 of us made the same choice for slightly different (but mostly overlapping) reasons.
On todays episode, Super CyGuy and friend of the show, Hendrik (in his first guest host spot, and first time recording a podcast) go over and review two separate top ten lists. Top 10 Greatest Superheroes, and Top 10 Best Supervillains. And boy were there choices made by the people making these lists.
On todays episode, Super CyGuy discusses his general thoughts on a variety of DC and Marvel comic book movies and shows that came out in 2022. This includes, the incredibly memeable, Morbius, which is 100% the best live action Morbius movie we have.
On todays episode of Metas & Mutants, Super CyGuy and SPJ discuss their thoughts on Black Adam, the state of the DCEU, and how James Gunn has the difficult, but enviable job, of rebooting it into what he has called the DCU.
This episode is a little different from our usual format. As many of you may know, Deeper Dive is a video essay series hosted by friend of the show SPJ. We did a special mash-up where SPJ discusses Thor: Love and Thunder with Tombstone and Super CyGuy in two separate one on one interviews.
It's been a while, but we got a special episode of Metas and Mutants today. Super CyGuy is with special guest co-host, and friend of the show, SPJ. And today, we discuss our thoughts on Marvel's Phase 4, both the Disney+ Shows and the new movies, our favourites, our least favourite, and what we hope for the upcoming phases. And in true fashion, there are plenty of off-topic tangents.
No sugarcoating this one folks. Wasn't planning to do a quick episode about this, but well, the internet happened. So here we are. Ladies, Gentlemen, Nerds, Geeks, and everyone else I missed. Jane Foster was Thor in the comics, and looks like she's also Thor in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder movie. If you hate the idea of "Lady Thor" (or as she is properly known, The Mighty Thor, Goddess of Thunder) because "Thor is a MAN/It's Thor OdinSON, not OdinDaughter" or whatever other bullshit superficial reason, kindly go fuck yourself with a sideways pineapple.
In this episode, Super CyGuy goes over 6 of the runs he is currently reading, and shouts out 2 other runs he fell off of, but means to get back to reading.
In this episode of Meta's and Mutants, Super CyGuy does a character analysis of who Moon Knight is, in anticipation of the Disney+ series coming up
This episode is heavily impromptu. Tombstone and Super CyGuy talk a bit about wrestling (tied into a news article), but heavily talk about how Wolverine has killed his kids, and how the Storm and Black Panther relationship seemed forced. We also talk about Wolverine vs Cyclops as tacticians, and how in another time, Storm and Thor had a daughter.
Tombstone Da Deadman is BACK, and we're here to just catch up a little bit, and let you all know what's going on with us.

The title speaks for itself. So many obviously new comic book readers have been online asserting that comic books aren't the place for politics and political agendas. Metas & Mutants suggest that they read more older comics. They either missed it or never read it in the first place. But we are here to help so in this mini series we discuss all the ways politics have been used in comics over the years. From the motivation of the creators of the characters, to the story arcs themselves.
