This week I took a good look at what i am spending my money on to see if what i as doing was actually worth it.
I have got myself stuck in a rut of paying alot of money for a depreciating asset to sit on my drive. Why do we do this is it to look good, Keep up with the "Jones's"
I decided i'm not doing it anymore and now i'm saving a fortune so I can invest in myself, my future and frankly something that is going to grow me my wealth and financial freedom and a nice car is not going to do this.
What can I say these last 6 weeks with the kids off have been tough, if you are like me and are balancing work, home and parenting then september couldn't of come quick enough. But this also validates why we as beauty entrepreneurs we need to have multiple streams of revenue coming in. We now have no excuses to get organised, start planning and developing out business so we can work closer to those long term goals.
Do you, all the choices you want to make in life and business will be judged and criticised by someone else. The reason for this is because they wouldn't do the same because they have different values and goals than you. so what do you do? politely listen but do what you was gonna do anyway. You need to understand everyone will tell you its the wrong thing to do but stay in you lane, stay focused and do you, coz no one else can do it better. if you don't you will then resent these people in years to come.

50 % of the people out their don't like you, your personality, your message, your values and what you stand for. Is that a problem? if everyone liked everyone it would be a pretty boring world and we would all be the same. So why is important to understand this in. business and getting your message out their?
I see far too many people putting off going live, posting certain comments or doubting what they want to truly say on socail media to grow their business or brand. Let's be honest the majority of these people do this because they are too bothered what people will think or say and want to please everyone. The reality is not everyone likes you and this is fine, once you realise that everyone has different views, values and different ways they want to live their life you can then be true to yourself and build your audience of those people that do respect, like and value your message.
So its time to stop thinking about the 50% of people that will never like you and your message and stay in your own lane and be true to yourself. This is the only way to build your tribe of loyal clients that will know, like and trust you for being you.

How many times to you hear people in business say if you want something done right do it yourself?
A hell of lot, people say this in life and business and I believe it is a trust and control trait that we have. But why?
When we set up out business we want to keep costs down and we want to do everything ourselves which is completely understandable. As beauty professionals we are known for our trade and our personnel care with our clients but this is only a small part of the running of our business.
Outsourcing is something that needs to be done to enable you are not consumed by all these tasks that 1. don't fufill you and 2. you are not an expert at.
If I was to create a website for my business it would take my weeks of learning, understanding and and implementing a pretty piss pore website. Just think how much your time is worth and how much money you could of earned by doing what inspires you and motivates you. Just remind yourself why you went into the industry you are in.
Outsource tasks to people and businesses that are experienced and doing their trade everyday will do a more effective job in a speedy time frame. If you hold all your cards to close and do not outsource to others, your business will never grow. You are not giving yourself the time and energy to focus on what really inspires you and your business goals.
So if you want something done right and it is not your skill, out source it to someone who's skill it is.

Video editing
Social media
Digital tools
These are things that don't inspire me and would take my time and energy away from what really motivates me and inspires me. With out outsourcing these task my business would not be growing at the rate it is. As entrepreneurs we need to understand our strengths and weaknesses and learn to trust others to help our business grow and become the entrepreneur and business we know we can be.

The majority of hair, beauty and aesthetic practitioners just have this or this is responsible for 80% of your revenue. We need to get that down to 25% and then start to build up the other 3 parts of the business which will lead you to a recurring revenue and clients cueing for you and your time.

Mailing and a data base we all should have have it shouldn't we, but do we use it? its a list sat right there of clients that have put trust in you. We need to utilise it to the max. Its far easier to sell something extra to an existing client that to get a completely new client.
