Too often we live standing by the cross, not sure if we want to commit to the Messiah. Trust in Jesus amazing love. Live in his hope.
Alone in agony on the cross, the Son of Man cries out, and he seeks an answer you and I often need to know. “Why have you abandoned me, God?
A murderer was released. The Son of God was crucified. Seeing life come out of "unfair".
“And they crucified him.” is a necessary step in the Father’s plan to save your soul as all history moved to Jesus’ crucifixion. How do you respond?
Simon of Cyrene—an ordinary man and suddenly a servant of God—had come to Jerusalem. He finds himself in the crowd. Then he’s in the midst of the drama, suddenly confronted with a cross moment. His life changed. What happens when you confront the cross? Do ou pick it up?
Evil was rampant in Israel, Judah and the non-Jewish soldiers. The godly Jews, who desired God’s presence and who saw Jesus as their Messiah were shut down. Was there any hope for God to free his people from sin? Their Hope was on His way to the cross?
The crowd called "Crucify him!" Did they know their words would bring God's judgment onto them? How about you? Do you know what you are saying - to your family, friends, neighbors? Are they words of death or life?
Does "Whatever!" rule your decisions? Or are you ready to be responsible with whatever God gives you to do?
Jesus' silence before the authorities intent on killing him is our great example to submit to God's will in our life.
Peter told Jesus he would defend him. Instead, Peter denied he knew Jesus. How about you? Do you commit to Jesus, then admit, "I didn't really mean it?"
Is it possible God used Peter's denial of the Christ to preserve his life to become the bold gospel preacher? Perhaps God knows what he is doing.
Conflict comes. Jesus is arrested. His disciples run. Are you afraid of standing for Jesus? Consider your faith.
How grievous it is that God would kill his Son to save us. Sin's consequences exceed our understanding.
Scripture records Peter denying Jesus three times, but is there a fourth implicit in Peter's actions?

Do you know Jesus sang hymns with his disciples? Do you think he sang lead? What hymns might they have sung?
How deep the Father’s love for you that he would send his Son to commune with mankind on earth, so we would have his way to commune with him forever.
When you examine Jesus’ words here, you will understand how deeply Jesus felt the wound of betrayal in his heart. Jesus mourned sin's great cost.
As Jesus said, “I tell you the truth.” he is proclaiming his Lordship. He speaks an absolute truth. To adjust his truth or refuse his truth, you are refusing his Lordship.
We judge Judas for his betrayal of Jesus. We must, too, consider ways we might be betraying our Lord.
Long ago, a woman offered a great gift of love to Jesus. Her legacy of "Love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul." lives to today. Will you leave such a legacy to the next generation?
Why did the authorities work "in the dark" as they plotted to kill Jesus? Is there any way you "kill" Jesus?
Are you "watching" what you look at, what you do, what you say as you watch for Jesus' return?
Jesus will come with great power and glory to establish his reign over God’s new creation. He will end all sin one day to restore his perfect creation. Your loving God has clearly described an end to life as you know it.
Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God, is your permanent shield against the Father's judgment.
Jesus knew the Father's judgment was sure. So he told his people to pray for it to come in the summer. Pray you are prepared.
As a Christian, you must know your persecution is possible. Rejoice that the Spirit of God will give you words to defend your faith in God.
The signs of Jesus' return are all around - they have been since he ascended to Heaven. Are you aware of the signs? Are you prepared for the day the sings stop and Jesus comes?

Jesus condemns the Pharisees. They know God's Scriptures, but their greed brings harm to many people.
Jesus affirmed that King David prophesied that Jesus, his "son" - descendant - would be his Lord. This points to the true, eternal King on "David's throne".
The religious authorities decided that they are done talking to Jesus. They are determined to kill him. Do you get that way?
Jesus broke down the Bible into two sentences. Love God. Love your neighbor. Simple, isn’t it? Or not?
The Sadducees were "experts" in the Law; yet, they said there was no resurrection. Too many “experts” today claim they know all they need to of God. Be careful of what “experts” say.
God gives to us many glimpses of Heaven. Rejoice in this: Heaven is far beyond what you know.
Why is it so hard to see Jesus in your life, do you think? Could your vision be based on what you choose to focus on each day?
You surely know that some people will never listen to good advice because they don’t want to hear the truth. Question is, "Are you listening to Jesus?"
Do you feel the Bible is to authoritative over your life? Someone does tell us how to live. That someone is the Son of God in the power of God. Listen to him. (I know that sounds bossy, but it is the most loving "advice" I can say to you.)
Jesus says, "Have faith in God." to remind us of his promises of judgment as well as salvation.
The chief priests despised Jesus' corrections so much they plotted to kill him. What is your response to Jesus' words?
As Jesus cleanses the temple, removing animals and money changers, he is as a housekeeper sweeping the dirt out. He’s removing the sin from the temple, so God’s people would clearly see the Father.
Jesus did a "house check" on his temple. He saw what was wrong and prepared to protect his house the next day.
When the day begins, praise the name of Jesus. When the noonday comes, praise the name of Jesus. When the night falls, praise the name of Jesus. Live in praise to your Savior.
Jesus asked James and John and then Bartimaaeus, "What do you want me to for you?" Why did he deny his disciples' request and fulfill the beggar's plea?
Following Jesus requires letting go of the past and preparing for everything the future holds—the crosses and the glory.
Have you ever said to Jesus, “Lord, I want you to do whatever I ask.” James and John did. Why would they ask such a thing?
Are you willing, even eager to ask Jesus, “What must I do?” but are you unwilling and sad to do what the Lord then requires of you?
Jesus spoke of God's law with the purpose to express God's love to the rich young ruler.
Jesus proclaims how deadly is the sin to destroy others by causing them to sin. A destroyer’s destination is sure. It is eternal hell.
Be cautious of criticizing other ministries. They may not look the same as the church you’re used to attending, but God empowers faithful people in many, many ways to do his will on earth.
When you fully welcome Jesus into your life, you will more completely love others. Such love will point them to Jesus.
Knowledge can make a big difference in your life temporarily or for a very long time. Do you have God's wisdom to know how to live right now to prepare for eternity?

Jesus identifies the Elijah, who is to come. This helps us see God's full plan of restoration to bring his people into the Kingdom of God.
“Why do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?” How could it be a prophet long gone from earth would return?
Jesus’ language of dying and rising again made absolutely no sense to the disciples. It makes no sense to many people today. The truth is, though, this is the truth.Rejoice in God's "foolish" plan to save you.
Turn your fear to faith. Receive heaven’s glory that transfigures you to make you beautiful before God.
"Transfigure" means to “to transform one’s appearance revealing great beauty and magnificence.” Jesus gave to Peter, James and John a glimpse of his heavenly glory. Did it make a difference in the disciples' lives?
“The power show is ramping up.” Mark 9 is the beginning of Jesus’ final journey to the cross. He has much left to show and tell his disciples. One of the things he has to show “some” of them—i.e. Peter, James and John, is a spectacular view of his heavenly glory.
How faithfully do you believe the gospel is the power to save people from sin’s eternal devastation? Is there any way you are ashamed of Jesus?
