Prayer has no limits. Whether you are trying to find a parking spot, looking for a house, seeking advice, or it's just a casual "help me" there is nothing that a conversation with God cannot cover. In fact, even without our desires prayer would still be as important. It is not only a way for us to get what we want but so God can too. He desires a relationship with us. In the last part of our Core Value Series learn all the ways you can use prayer in your life and fortify your relationship with God.
Family, no matter how much love pours between each other someone is bound to get offended or hurt, whether it's you hurting another or a person offending you. However because Christ has been made the center and firm foundation of it all we are given the strength to continue loving and grow stronger as a unit.
When God came to save the broken He wanted us to know that no matter where we are or who we are He still loves us. Now as followers and disciples of Christ we are called to be the light of the world by evangelizing the truth of His love. Spread it through your actions, words, and let the light radiate. He does not work in our time nor does He work in our understanding. However, it is in that we should find comfort because His promises to us are always kept.
It's easy to get wrapped up and distracted by gifts, the weather, travel plans, and what not during the Christmas season. While all those things are not bad, we must not forget the true meaning of Christmas: Jesus Christ, the Savior. He is the real reason for the season!

Even traditions can come and go but the word of God will remain forever. His word is like good soil that nourishes and sustains. We must not get distracted or preoccupied by the former things. We try to validate certain things by chasing after false words and bending them to fit our own but doing that will get you nowhere except exhausted. It's like running on a treadmill trying to get somewhere only to find out you've been stuck at the start. However, the upside of that is that it gives God a chance to rescue us and for us to see just how awesome He really is. Stop looking for life in the dead space, allow Him to show us what life is truly about.
Self-help books can only take you so far. Seminars can only do so much but God's word is powerful more - it is powerful. Not only is it just that but it is full of power. His words are pure like silver purified in the furnace of the Earth. To know that power and strength we must get closer to God so would be in our best interest to continually build our relationship with Him.
God may not do things the way we want but that's okay because anything He gives us will be "more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power." With every new situation or even the same repeated ones God renews and refreshes us with His response to help. Allow Him to take control - trust in Him for His perfect purpose.
God is calling us individually and corporately for something bigger than we are now. Just like a king's title - given by birth - empowers him to lead and do great things, the same can be said for us. We are called to greatness because we are sons and daughters of God. Through His grace and direction we can then follow His calling and do so unfailingly.
When it seems like the whole world is against what you believe and they seem to be holding fast to what you stand against, stand strong. When you least expect Him, that's when God will most likely show up.
It's good to pray to God but when you do, don't underestimate the power He has put in your very hands - He has given you the ability to go forth. Whether it be financial breakthrough, spiritual battles, passing your exams, what have you, He has given you the key to access your blessings.
We are all God's children and there is so much more to that position than just the title. God desires for us to live in the fullness of His presence, mercy, blessings, and grace. We must stop acting like slaves to the world and live as sons and daughters of Christ - we must submit our lives to God. Through our own faith in Him we can unlock those blessings.
