Born out of UK raving and sound system culture the Freethos sound travels far through the bass music spectrum. Creating a frenetic fusion of electro, breakbeats and bassline with a global twist.

Full Bio: The Freethos debut the ‘Get Radikal’ EP released on Allowance records saw the ‘Sliced n Diced Dub’ signed to the ground breaking Sequential Music series. Two EPs followed in 2016 – the ‘FM EP’ featuring Sabrina Findlay on ‘Just Ride’, and the self-released three track ‘Greed EP’. Both bringing a rave-influenced blend of alt electro and techno. Toms work has since included remixes and production for a host independent labels and artists, as well as content creation for Noiiz and Samplephonics.

After playing Trombone in youth orchestras Tom soon swapped brass for bass, soaking up the original sounds of Hardcore, Jungle and House and DJing at underground free parties. The explosion of UK Garage saw Tom land his first club residency at the age of 17, warming up for bass line pioneers EZ, Deekline and DJ Luck & MC Neat.

Toms journey by DJ in the years that followed would take a joy ride through pirate radio and the birth of music streaming, to playing some of London’s best-loved clubs and venues. Hosting events and playing festival stages as part of the Tunnel Crew Sound System has gained Freethos sets a reputation for pushing an eclectic bass-heavy party sound. Leading to supporting slots for a diverse array of artists including Dreadzone, Freq Nasty and Dutty Moonshine.

2021 sees the release of the new single ‘The Medicine’ featuring Sabrina Findlay. A vocal electro ballad that pushes the tempo, and blurs lines between electronic beats and a heartfelt love song. Reflecting some of the mental health and relationship stresses prevalent in these lockdown times.
