In this episode, we are bringing you an extraordinary story; it is the first episode about a 14-year-old boy accused of a felony and treated as an adult. It's called, Looking Back. In this podcast episode entitled, "Looking Back," Kingya share's a story about life incarcerated as a 14-year-old teenager, looking back at how he survived and made the most out of being incarcerated. Looking back is a podcast story on how Kingya promised never to go back and swore to help youth in need of mentoring once released from prison at age 24. Kingya never went back to prison or broke his promises. By looking back, he shares his side of life growing up behind bars through this intro podcast.
Larisa an immigrant from Ukraine or modern-day Russia; who obtained her United States naturalized citizenship. You are going to hear from Larisa (Lara), who tells her story as well as her sons. She is a young mother that has an innocent son who's allegedly illegally detained without bail. He has not been charged with a crime by the courts. Lara has stated in her letter to us that, "I can't sleep and eat, I regret bringing my son to America, the American dreams have turned into nightmares..." She continues to say, "If you do not have money in America, there is no equal justice, and therefore you are treated inhumane or have no human rights."
