Tonight I felt like getting in touch with my power animal, and throw some 3oh!3 into the mix. I wrap it all up with a nice bow, and an uplifting end!
If you know me personally, I think you'll agree there's a lot of "me" in this live set!

Over this past weekend I had my girlfriend watch the movie "The Lost Boys" circa 1987. I felt like making a short episode with a remix of the OST song, "Cry Little Sister" by Gerard McMann and Michael Mainieri.
I felt, however that since there was a song about vampires, the werewolves needed some representation. In the 3rd installment of the "Lost Boys" movies titled, "The Thirst" one makes an appearance at the end.
It would seem that with the "Twilight" movies werewolves have a Native American heritage, so I chose to use "Return To Innocence" by William Hawk.
I was having so much fun breaking out that old song from back in '00 that I decided to keep it flowing and ended the mix with "Sunrise" by William Hawk as well (circa 2002)
Here's a little bit about William Hawk:
William Hawk - DJ and producer of the old school has been successful for many years on the road in the club scene. With the Act's like Crazy Frog, Light Force Commander Tom or he made it again and again in recent years in the European charts.
This includes the single "Axel F", which he has produced and published as Crazy Frog. This production was not only one of the most albums sold in 2005, but was also the first ring which sold over 1 million times.

Sorry guys for the late update! Sometimes life gets in the way, and in the case of this mix it certainly did. What I have for you this week was a grab-bag of some awesome new tracks. Most of them are hot right now overseas. This is the first mix that I've now begun to add my "official" show intro to. So here it is, "The Weekend" mix. Track list is as follows:

If you don't know about Beatport -- it's OK. DJ's and professionals in the industry use Beatport similar to the iTunes store. All the newest club/electronic tracks and remixes are published there for purchase.
Most of the time, a track will be released on Beatport and take a month or two to catch on at a club. This depends on the size of your city. Where I am from in Anchorage, Alaska; good luck.
I decided to put together a sampling of some of the top 100 tracks (five to be exact) purchased by fellow DJ's in August.
The trend as far as I can see is going to more "club-ish" sounds. Even pop music these days is taking hints and stealing sounds from electronic music. Hence the new Britney Spears single.
Another trend I am noticing are the "harder" and "sour" electronic sounds. Crunchier, heavier melodies that go "sour" (David Guetta loves to do this) seem to be catching on.
"Party Rock Anthem" and Pitbull ft. Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer's "Give me Everything" are examples of the watered down top-40 version of this trend.
Most popular dance songs are also right at 128 BPM (beats per minute) or 130 BPM. (David Guetta loves the 130 instead of the traditional 128).

This is a mix of Skylab2000 -- real rave music for the real rave/electronica era.
Skylab2000 was big in the late 90's and into the early 2000's. This was back when real MDMA or as you kiddos today have nicknamed it "XTC".
Most of this crap today has a trace of the real deal, mixed with heroin, speed, crack, cocaine, meth and research chemicals such as 2-ci.
Good luck finding real 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine anymore. If that confuses you, pick up a copy of Alexander Schulgin's book PHIKAL.
However, we at least can listen to the music that this drug and the rave culture inspired.
These are three tracks from Skylab2000 that I chose that stood out as awesome "Authentic Rave Anthems".

I went between the live session of Prototype and NIGHT TRAIN a few times, and ended with the classic Skylab2000 anthem "Rollergirl"
These guys uses real 404's, 808's (analog synth boxes to you younger kids) on stage, and live. I was lucky enough to see them play back in '99
