A Spoonful of Fruit is a safe space designed to encourage people to engage in organic conversations that cause us to Feel, Reflect, Understand, Identify and Trust ourselves to heal, love, grow and lead a life of excellence. The Purpose of this podcast is to Uplift, Promote Truth and Personal Growth in order to be fruitful. The Mission is to Encourage people to confidently examine themselves by creating opportunities to build relationships, and enhance leadership capabilities that will contribute to their growth mentally, physically and spiritually.
During this episode of A Spoonful of Fruit, I talk to Pastor Regina Crider. Regina Crider is the Pastor of Cross Roads of Life Community Church and the Founder and Executive Director of Youth and Family Alliance located in Rantoul, IL. Learning to navigate the education and mental health systems for her daughter has made Regina passionate about equipping and empowering other parents to do the same for their own children. It is her belief that families can solve their own problems when they are given the appropriate support in order to do so. She continues to work diligently to promote children’s mental health awareness, family-driven, youth-guided, and culturally competent services and support for families and youth through the Alliance’s presence throughout the state of Illinois.
Raising a child with serious behavioral health needs motivated Regina to commit to helping others with her own personal story, training parents and service providers as well as presenting at local and national conferences on a variety of topics pertaining to children’s mental health.
Regina has been married to her husband Damon for 17 years and she has two children, DeAndre’ and DaYanna.
