DJ Lorant
Born in Istanbul and a New Yorker since childhood, Lorant’s musical output is powered by the pulsating energy of observing those mega-cities. It was his early mentorship with legendary DJ and producer Danny Tenaglia, and subsequent affiliation with the dance music hit-factory Twisted Records that kickstarted Lorant’s career in the industry.
Lorant founded Royal Advisor Records in 2010 as a means to both nurture and introduce fresh New York City talent to the world in all spectra of dance and electronic music. Lorant’s mantra is that of his label: Make you dance, make you happy, make you think!

This is an edit I did for Junior Vasquez when I first started making music using Hamilton Bohannon's "Let's Start the Dance" and X-Press 2's "Muzik Xpress." I remember it being somewhat of a challenge because Let's Start is a disco song that doesn't line up easily with house but the two songs go so well with each other that the final result was a proud moment however raw it sounded.
It's been six months since my last podcast. I missed dancing with you party people. Let's do it again!
