Welcome back everyone to another awesome episode of the boundless perception podcast. This time we have a group of great cosplayers for you today who go by the name of @Sailorgang5. They are cosplayers based out of the Islands and have been cosplaying for a few years. I met them while they were doing an amazingSailor Moon cosplay at momocon. But they also cosplay as the muses from Hercules. We discuss some other cosplays that they plan to do once coronavirus is over so definitely give the episode a listen. But for now, let's see a small preview of some of the things we discussed.

I began by asking them how they met? 5 people constantly attending conventions requires a lot of dedication and coordination. Shockingly, the group actually went to high school together and I figured they all shared a passion for cosplay. But this was not the case. They all low key had a passion for dressing up and one of the members decided that she wanted to be Sailor Moon for Halloween. So, for Halloween 2015 they debuted there Sailor Moon cosplays.

Since the group lives outside of the U.S., and with all of the issues involving race currently taking place in America, I had to ask If they had ever faced any type of prejudice or slander towards there cosplays. I was very surprised to hear that they had not. Most of there convention experiences were extremely positive with fans asking if they could actually sing while they were dressed as the muses.

Welcome back everyone to another awesome episode of the boundless perception podcast. As usual, we have another great cosplayer for you today who goes by the name of @SoniaBladeCosplay. She's a cosplayer based out of AustinTexas who has been cosplaying for about 4 years. If you happen to visit conventions in Texas you may run into her as she does an amazing Fran, Shera and Bell from beauty and the beast. If Texas conventions aren't your thing, you will likely see her at Dragoncon, Anime Weekend Atlanta, or even Holiday Matsuri.

So we kicked off this interview by talking a bit about commuting to conventions. I personally end up driving to most of my conventions but that's because I'm broke. @SoniaBladeCosplaygave some great tips on how to save money if you plan on flying to conventions. Specifically, instead of booking your flights at the same time, separate them into two one way flights. You can possibly save some money by switching airlines and playing with the arrivals times. Also I learned that I need to start planning my conventions long in advance. I am definitely a last-minute type of person and this forces me to pay increased prices. One key take away from this interview is plan ahead.

Next up we discussed traveling with cosplays. I'm always fearful of having TSA destroy my photography equipment and I believed cosplayers felt the same about their cosplays. As you can see from @SoniaBladeCosplay's Instagram, she has some rather large cosplays that have to be carefully packaged to ar

Welcome back everyone to the boundless perception podcast. I know it's been a while but we are back in full swing. Today we have an upcoming awesome cosplayer who goes by the name of @foxxpromenade. I actually met her at Katsucon while she was cosplaying as Luna from sailor moon. You can see her video on my YouTube or on my Instagram. But anyways back to the interview.

So I asked what have you been doing ever since we entered quarantine? @Foxxpromenadestates that honestly my motivation has been rather sapped since all of the conventions were canceled but I have been working on a few small projects. Such as an Oni Mask. I'm actually just working on this mask for fun right now. I need to keep my hands busy before I forget how to make stuff. Unfortunately, Blerdcon is not happening right now but had it still been held @Foxxpromenade had planned to bring Sango, Leeloo, Coraline, Jubilee and Lydia Deetz from beetle juice.

Welcome back to the show, we have another awesome cosplayer for you today who goes by the name of Zazie.Cosplay. She's based out of Maryland and has brought several amazing cosplays to various conventions. Some of them are her Nami, Jade, and Ishtar from fate grand order. Before we dive into this week's episode I want to remind you that you can find last week's episode HERE along with all of the other episodes from the show. We have a new episode for you almost weekly so be sure to constantly check back for some new content.

Ishtar Cosplay

She has been cosplaying for around 10 years and has been going to conventions since around 2008. Her first convention was ANIME USA which is a very small con. This con had her hooked and since she has started hitting larger cons such as Katsucon. Like many, she started with characters that fit her skin tones such as Nidalee and Michiko Malandro. These characters were not extremely difficult to make so they are rather decent characters to attempt for new cosplayers. Her cosplay intro days are long over and she has branched into much more difficult cosplays and characters that were not the same skin color as her.

In 2015, she decided that she could cosplay as any character

Interview With A Cosplayer Featuring @TattedPoodle

Welcome back to another episode of the Boundless Perception Podcast, we have the 6th episode going down today and of course if features another phenomenal cosplayer who goes by the name of TattedPoodle. She's a cosplayer originally from the east coast but currently resides on the west coast. She's going to share a bit of her cosplay knowledge as well as a few insights. Before we dive into things make sure you check her out on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook so you will be able to follow along with some of the outfits we speak about today. Her name originally comes from the fact that she has tattoos but she's also in a sorority called Sigma Gamma Rho. The mascot for this sorority is the French toy poodle. This was also around the time that Instagram just began so she mixed the tattoos with an extremely important event in her life and thus Tattedpoodlewas born. Many believe her name is in reference to her hair or its actually based on her personality but now you know the true origin story. TattedPoodlegot started with cosplay like many of us with Halloween. She was unable to cosplay in a traditional manner and had to wear Christian/biblical characters. Aside from Halloween, she was officially introduced to the cosplay scene in 2015 when she wore herGreen Lantern Cosplayfor the first time. After this outfit, she decided she wanted to wear someone that meant a bit more to her and took this idea to Anime Expo.Surprisingly she considers

Welcome back everyone to another episode of the Boundless Perception Podcast. We have our 5th episode of the year and today on the show we have the boundless cosplayer Protege_47. Some of his cosplays include Shikamaru Narufrom Narutoalong with Overhaulfrom My Hero Academia. He was featured in Creative Cosplay Magazine and was actually chosen as cosplayer of the month. You have to admit that he has a striking resemblance to Shikamaru! That’s always an added bonus when cosplayers look like their characters.

He is based out of North Philadelphia and actually cosplays out of Delaware now. His cosplay career is funded from his extended career in martial arts. He was a kickboxer from the age of 15 and has won the title of world champion. Although he does not train for tournaments anymore, he still trains other fighters so if martial arts is your thing, stop in. This passion for fighting has actually swayed the characters he cosplays as. It only makes sense that he would naturally be drawn towards characters that enjoy a good fight.

Do you know what today is? Wednesday and that means its time for another interview with a cosplayer episode. If you haven't heard or missed the previous episode featuring @Yarngoddesscosplay feel free to click HERE!As for today's episode, we have a Boundless Cosplayer based out of Atlanta. He has cosplayed characters ranging from Yami to Haseo. My personal favorite is his Trafalgar Law cosplay. I have had the pleasure of shooting with him at several conventions and looking forward to linking up with him again at 2020 conventions. So please help me in welcoming @Darkhyperion!

He has been cosplaying for 3 years though it should be a bit more since he was kinda cosplaying while focusing on his career for a year. His first convention was ANIMEUSAin DC and has been hooked ever since. His friend Legendaryme3 accompanies him to many cons and they actually did a shoot with me back at AWA. Since we are around the same age, it was only natural that we reminisced about growing up in the 90’s and how anime was not what it is today. Conventions allowed @Darkhyperion, like many of us, to be ourselves around like-minded people.

Welcome back everyone to another awesome interview with a cosplayer episode. If you missed the last episode, feel free to click HERE!As for today's episode, we have an amazing cosplay for you so make sure you give the entire episode a listen. I actually met this cosplayer at BLERDCON but didn’t get to speak with her until much later. Her cosplays are very nontraditional as she crafts them all from yarn. That’s right, not EVA Foam, not Worbla, but Yarn. Given that her style is very unique I'm sure you know who I'm speaking of! If not, help me give a warm welcome to Yarn Goddess Cosplay.

She is a cosplayer based out of Atlanta Georgia. She started cosplaying in 2014. Her intro to cosplay came with one of the largest cosplay conventions on the east coast. That’s right good old Dragoncon. Her first few times at this convention she actually did not cosplay. But, when she finally did, she decided to cosplay as Yoruichi Shihouin from Bleach. After this cosplay debut, she was hooked. She then crafted Erza Scarlet from fairy tail and as we can see, it's grown so much from there.

So if your anything like me, then you do not know the difference between knitting and crocheting. Usually outfits constructed from EVA Foam go on to take the prize. So @Yarn Goddess Cosplay usually avoids cosplay contests. But, at BLERDCON, her outfit when on to impress not only me but the judges as well. To be honest, I don’t really understand how crocheting works, but she explains the process and her thought patterns throughout the cos

Welcome back everyone to the 2nd episode the 2020 boundless perception podcast. We have an awesome cosplayer on the show for you today who goes by the name of Talalovesyou. She has some amazing cosplays including Lamuerte, Tiana and Kilala from Inuyasha. My personal favorite is her Lamuerte cosplay with Kilala being a close second. We will discuss how she created these cosplays along with several aspects of her cosplay career. As always I can guarantee this is an exciting episode and that you will not be disappointed so make sure you give it a listen. It only gets better as the podcast proceeds so make sure you listen to the entire thing!

She has been cosplaying since 2016 and first started with Garnet from Steven universe. The only relation she had to this character was the hairstyle so naturally, she chose to cosplay as this character. This character debuted at Metrocon which is in Tampa Florida. Like many of us, she chose this convention because it was close. So now fast-forwarding 4 years, she has created several other cosplays with her most recent being Tiana from Disneys princess and the frog.

Originally, there was supposed to be a Disney shoot including several princesses but due to unknown forces at work, mostly traffic, she never made it to the shoot. Nevertheless, she still created and displayed her amazing Tiana cosplay. All of her cosplays are homemade with the help of her mother. I'm sure this gives her tons of confidence and without a doubt is influential in her cosplay career. Talalovesyou first began by sowing and slowly moved on to EVA Foam.

As always, I will not give away the entire interview in this synopsis so make sure you give it a listen. You will not be disappointed.

Tiana Cosplay By Brown.Suga.Outlaw

This was one of the most relaxing interviews I have ever done and it felt more like a conversation between friends than an actual interview. There is a lot more to this interview than transcribed so make sure you give it a listen. I would like to thank @crimsonkitten for taking the time to share with us her cosplay journey and plans as I'm sure we are all looking forward to what she will create in 2020. The interviews have been rolling in one after another and I would like to say thank you to everyone that has allowed me to interview them. Keeping the momentum going, we have an amazing interview with @Heyr2a. She took the time to speak with us about how to apply cosplay makeup. This is a topic that I know absolutely nothing about and have been waiting forever to hear about from a makeup artist. I learned lots of useful information and thoroughly enjoyed the discussion we had during this podcast. This is one you are definitely going to want to check out as I'm sure it can help you with your next cosplay ventures.
Heyr2ais 20 years old and attends college at east Michigan University. She is based out of Detroit Michigan and specializes in cosplay makeup. Unfortunately, she was unable to attend Momocon and AWA this year because she was featured atDreamcon. Her cosplay days began back in high school where she joined the anime club. After becoming president, she took her group to Yumaconand has been flourishing in the anime scene ever since. One of the first animes she started watching was Adventure Time followed by Tokyo ghoul. To no surprise, she chose Ken Kanekias one of her first characters to begin her cosplay makeup career. You can see some images of this character on her IG. Another earlier character was Dr. Facilier. She recently redid Dr. Facilierfrom Disney's princess and the frog to show her growth from its original debut.
Now on to the reason you are all here, the COSPLAY MAKEUP. Before you dive into painting your body or face, Heyr2arecommends that you look up tutorials on highlighting and contouring. This will help your face to look less well, flat. You can emphasize your cheek and jawbones while adding depth to your face. Next, you want to decide if you're doing this for a photoshoot or for a convention. If you are doing it for a simple home photoshoot use paints such as snazaroo. If you are going to a convention and want longevity, use mehron. These are brands that she uses and combines for almost all of her looks. Snazaroohas a tendency to crack after being applied for an extended time h

Welcome back everyone for another awesome episode of an interview with a cosplayer. Today we have an awesome cosplayer for you that goes by the name of @trinityroze. For this interview, we also have some images from a recent shoot we did together. There are tons of images to sort from so we only included a few in this post. For more awesome images I believe @trinityroze will be posting more on her Instagram as I'm slow to post them on mine, sorry. There's a lot of great information in this episode so definitely give it a listen.
For this interview, we talked about her shoot as Mercy From Overwatch. Most are accustomed to seeing this character in her traditional outfit but for this shoot we used theHalloween skin. Trinityroze has cosplayed as mercy before and for those images definitely check out her Instagram. She states that this costume is a bit different from her normal cosplays as its a lot more revealing. She has always wanted to jump into this form of cosplay but never took the plunge. So this costume was the perfect opportunity to give it a spin.
Most of her cosplays are not actually made from scratch. That goes to show there is some hope for us that do not know how to sew. She instead modifies her costumes to fit her ideal image. She buys most of her items from amazon of course and milanoo costumes. Any other items she needs she purchases from Etsy. I personally love Etsy and really enjoy supporting independent crafters. When it comes to deciding if you should buy an item or not. She states that its best to look at the reviews of each item and see whose posting what about them. This will give you an idea about the quality of the item.
While we're on the topic of purchasing items, we also discuss spending large amounts of money on cosplay. Sometimes others make me feel guilty for spending so much money on conventions and cosplay related items so it was a nice relief to know I was not alone. Her most expensive cosplay was actually her previous mercy cosplay with thewings costing the most. All though we do not discuss exactly how much she spent, just know it added up. This costume was actually purchased from Heroes Time. They offer a lot of customization to there suits so definitely check them out. Side note don’t use the U-ZIPPER option.
She actually used mercya fair bit when she played the game so cosplaying as this character was naturally the next step. Surprisingly, Mercy is not her favorite character. D.Vawas her favorite. She has also cosplayed as this character several times with the images showing up on her Instagram. She has done two of them including her original and B.va skin. In the future, she has more

Welcome back to another awesome episode of interview with a cosplayer. For today's episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing @shaucatcosplay. She is an amazing cosplayer with several years of cosplay under her belt based out of Atlanta Georgia. As a special treat, we are not only doing the interview but also discussing our recent photoshoot. The location and details regarding the shoot will all be discussed in the interview so make sure to give it a listen. And without further ado, let's dive into another awesome interview with a cosplayer.

@Shaucatcosplagot into cosplay back in high school so around 2007 to 2008. She originally cosplayed as Sakura from Naruto. This was the beginning of a very extensive cosplay career that is growing stronger by the day. Unfortunately, no images exist of this cosplay but I'm sure it pales in comparison to what her cosplay creations consist of today. Check her through back Thursdays to see her cosplay origin stories.

One of her favorite cosplays was from Saiyuki. The merciful goddess is the character she cosplayed as and she decided to construct a large necklace for this series. I really can't describe it so definitely check it out online. This was actually the first prop she ever constructed so just go ahead and dive in sometimes. I'm sure your imagination and reference pictures will lead the way. Another amazing cosplay she did was Morriganfrom dark stalkers. This character is extremely iconic and has been featured in several games. Specifically, the puzzle fighter version inspired @shaucatcosplay and she based her Morriganoff of this version.

Now onto the shoot. I really don’t want to give to much away so listen to the podcast but this shoot consisted of two D&D characters. They were Shiere and Desdemona. These characters mean a lot to @shaucatcosplay because she has been using them for a while and feels she resonates with these characters. Shiere is a druid so of course, we used a shoot location that was more natural. She chose the ball gown version of this character as her next dungeons and dragons campaign involves them going to a ball.

The second character is not as morally righteous. She is basically the polar opposite of Shiere. Desdemona is ok with things the way they are as long as they do not harm the natural order of things. The character is actually good but based on her moral decisions she may be viewed as evil. To bett

We have another awesome interview with one of my favorite cosplayers who goes by the name of R_O_N_I_N. He cosplays as well... ronin. For anyone wondering just who that is, you likely know him as HAWKEYE. We got a brief look at this character in the final avenger's movie when HAWKEYE aka Ronin was seen kicking ass in Japan. Ronin was the title assumed by Hawkeye in the aftermath of the civil war comics. If this is a bit confusing don’t worry, we discuss it a bit in the podcast so make sure you check it out!

How's everyone doing? I had the pleasure of interviewing another phenomenal cosplayer that goes by the name of @stardust_megu. She is no stranger to the interview/podcast lifestyle and has done previous interviews on the Loveyourbod podcast. In this episode, we discuss her backstory along with some body positivity and the promotion of inclusion of all types of body shapes and colors. Like many interested in anime in the early 2000s, she was ridiculed and bullied for her passions and interest. We discuss this in depth throughout the episode so tune in for some great messages on body promotion.

We are back with another awesome Interview With a Cosplayer episode. In the interview seat today we have none other than @Peachyconprincess. She is both an awesome cosplayer and an event organizer for momocon. Some of her cosplays include Garnet from Steven Universe and Princess Alura From Voltron. This episode is great for those looking to market themselves as @peachyconprincess specializes in social media marketing. She definitely gives some great advice on how and which social media platform to use along with some great resources for sewing.

With regards to Instagram, she explains how its easy to pay for likes but hard to pay for legitimate follows. Also, getting human interactions with real individuals is not something you can just pay for and it requires that you spend time getting to know people and posting regularly. She also explains how lots of people get caught up in posting images on Instagram, when this is time that could be better spent actually creating content for your blog.
