Here's the "Added Time" section of our episode: "A Chat About Goalkeepers" with special guests Henry Winter and Stuart Botham.

In this part, we discuss whether the footwork of English goalkeepers receives a over-heightened level of scrutiny (2:00), citing the plight of Joe Hart's career after leaving Manchester City in 2016.

We also speak about what was responsible for England producing a great number of excellent goalkeepers in the past and why England have failed to consistently produce world-class goalkeepers in recent years. (7:45)

We take a look at whether the position, as a whole, has been undervalued over the years (13:30), as well as questioning why there seems to be a lack of former goalkeepers that have gone on to become coaches or managers.

Finally, we discuss whether the state of English goalkeeping looks promising in the years to come, (22:52) before the episode comes to a close.

We’re back with an episode dedicated especially to goalkeepers, so we thought we’d enlist the help of two very special guests for this one.

We were joined by The Times’ chief football writer Henry Winter, a multiple award-winning journalist and an expert on the England national team, who has covered eight World Cups over the length of his accomplished career.

Alongside Henry, we were also joined by Stuart Botham, a former professional goalkeeper, an ex-academy coach at Crystal Palace, and a member of the English Schools’ FA Council for London & the South East. Stuart also holds a UEFA Pro Licence as a football coach, the highest possible coaching qualification that can be earnt within professional football across Europe.

In this episode, we discuss how Henry has found football post-lockdown, (3:47) the standard of goalkeeping post-lockdown (14:23), whilst also having a debate about David Raya’s performance in the Championship play-off final, (which happened the evening before the podcast was recorded).

We also take a look at Nick Pope and Dean Henderson’s form this season, who have emerged as Jordan Pickford’s chief competitors as England’s number one, (27:14) as well as asking whether top-six English clubs have been reticent in recent years to have an English starting goalkeeper. (39:40).

This one was an absolute joy to record, so we really hope you enjoy listening to this episode!

For the first episode of our podcast, we thought we'd start things off on a lighter note by talking about sexy football!

Here we discuss each of the club sides that we each felt played the sexiest football in our lifetimes, before deciding on an overall winner.

The teams we picked all vary in their tactical approaches and stature, which we hope made for very interesting and unpredictable debates.

To provide a bit of context, we were all born during the 1998/1999 season, so that admittedly plays a huge part in the teams we've chosen!
