We wouldn’t start to brush our teeth as they begin to decay and fall out We wouldn’t take a knife to a cut and see how deep we could make it We wouldn’t tell someone with a broken leg to walk it off it’s all in your leg So why is it acceptable to believe we must shake off our mental health “it’s all in the head”

Life is full of obstacles, challenges, and hurdles, through which we strive for an elusive mirage of happiness, neglecting the world around us. We reach midlife, having followed all that we have been led to believe that we should be, yet arriving with a sense of overwhelm, disconnection, and not ‘enough ness’.

The elements of our past that we have covered up and failed to deal with, blocked out, are the stories that contribute to our current narrative. So many do not discover the beauty of unraveling this and continue to simply struggle and survive life, rather than blossom and thrive.

I had spent most of my life searching, forever reacting to my mental health, feeling that something was missing. My mission now is to hold space to empower others to uncover their fullest and truest life, inspiring their transformation to dig deeper than simply surviving, to retrace their steps.

When we discover our story, take authorship, and re-write the narrative, we feel like we have come home. Our stories have acted as a filter for the information which we accept or discard. All that fits into our model of the world is reality, whilst anything that challenges this view is ignored. Finding out the truth of who I was and unearthing what had been there all along was liberating.

Life changes when we awaken our inner being through introspection and intuition. We place conditions on ourselves that limit us, stop us from living our most amazing life to our true potential and receiving the happiness we are all worthy of.

As the great Desmond Tutu once said, “we need to stop simply pulling people out of the river and move up steam to find out why they are falling in”. We need to make looking after our psychological, emotional, and mental health as vital as our physical health and as actively discussed and encouraged from childhood.

Stop allowing ourselves to continually slip on the banana skins of life and favour care of the mind, just as important as the body, for we have more psychological illness than physical in our life – we just ignore them, not even knowing they exist, until they become chronic.

Each mind reacts uniquely based on your past story, Feeling, Revealing, and Healing®this allows us to build emotional health and thrive.

One of the biggest internal battles I faced for so much of my life was placing the values I wasn't even aware I possessed and lived by as an expectancy of how others should be and should treat me... cue unhappiness! Until I started my transformational feeling, revealing, and healing journey I was stuck and overwhelmed. Who wouldn't be living with a total stranger? Now it has become my mission to transform the lives of others around my own journey, openly, honestly, and more importantly with a more direct route than I took. The outcome - inner happiness and release from what holds us back in life and blocks us from becoming the fullest and truest version of ourselves.

No amount of manipulation of external circumstances will create the life we want, this has to come from within, yet we are not taught to go inside ourselves, to feel what we want to, and to understand, choose, create and align a life we want. To kick off this podcast I wanted to introduce why I believe so passionately in proactive Mental Health and why, as the famous quote from Desmond Tutu says" We need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they are falling in" It took me years of suffering, of reading, learning, and training to be able to uncover my own happiness and I want to bring these tools and understanding to people before they need them. To empower and inspire resilience to life's nurdles before they appear in our path.
