This week we welcome the absolutely incredible Hally Leadbetter, who is a broadcaster, host, producer and social media content creator.
To take it all the way back, Hally played junior golf at a high level, ultimately earning a scholarship to the University of Arkansas. Two years in, she transferred to Rollins College where she ranked No. 10 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and led her team to winning the 2016 NCAA DII Championship.
Post graduation, Hally played professional golf, but ultimately decided to pair her passion for golf with her new-found interest in media. In 2017, she started working in social media for Golf Digest and, subsequently, the PGA TOUR as a digital producer and host. In 2019, she returned to Golf Digest to head up their social content team. And most recently, Hally has launched a podcast with Michelle Wie West called Golf, Mostly!

The U.S. Adaptive Open is a new national championship that will showcase the world’s best golfers with disabilities this July at Pinehurst No. 6. - Vision Impairment
- Intellectual Impairment
- Neurological Impairment
- Seated Players
- Short Stature

Welcome back to the Fore the Ladies podcast! Today we have Sophia Schubert as our next Ladies of Golf feature. Sophia is one of this year’s Symetra Tour graduates and will be a rookie on the LPGA Tour for the 2022 season. The Symetra Tour acts a feeder tour for the LPGA, a minor league if you will, and the top 10 players on the Race for the Card money list have earned LPGA cards for next season. Sophia was number four on that list after notching her first victory on the Symetra Tour and nine top 10 finishes in the 2021 season.
Sophia also had an incredible amateur career, winning the 2017 U.S. Amateur and college tournaments while competing for Auburn and Texas. We talk about the power of letting yourself just play and enjoying the game. Enjoy getting to know Sophia and keep an eye on her next season on the LPGA Tour.

We’re back after a few weeks away with another Ladies of Golf episode! It’s been a busy month hosting our first golf getaway with Pinehurst Resort and planning clinics for the remainder of 2021.
As many of you know, Fore the Ladies is a passion project of mine. My full-time job is at the United States Golf Association, and for this episode, I welcomed a coworker! Hilary Cronheim is Director of the USGA Golf Museum and Library, where she oversees the execution of the museum’s strategic initiatives. What does that include? Well everything from leveraging digital media, enhancing access to research collections, and reinforcing its role as the world’s leading center for golf scholarship.
Hilary has worked in some of the nation’s leading museums, such as the Art Institute of Chicago and the Frick Collection in New York City. With all of this experience, she shared with us how she came upon the USGA and its museum as well as why she wanted to work there. We also talk about the storied history of women caring for and communicating golf history. For example, the Museum’s first curator, Janet Seagle, led the Museum from 1963 to 1989 and women have been in leading roles ever since.
