Hosted by Omotunde Sotuminu aka Motty, this is a safe place for young women of faith who have questions about life. We have deep, raw and honest conversations on different topics that the church folks, religious leaders and our parents aren’t ready to have such as mental health, feminism, sexuality, grief; the list goes on!
Hey, y'all!!
We back!! How are y'all? DM me on Instagram and let's catch up xoxo. Today, we are back with a rather solemn episode- we are discussing grief. These past couple of years have been crazy, especially with the pandemic; folks are grieving all types of situations whether it's a loved one, opportunity, health, life without restrictions, or jobs. It's been a lot. And I have the perfect guest to discuss this topic; Abi Shotade who lost her husband at 31 leaving her with three kids. She recounts that experience: how she was able to navigate her faith, how Christians can support other Christians through the grieving process, trusting God when you don't understand and lots more.
Be sure to hit that subscribe button & give us a 5-star rating!

This week, I have the amazing Rebecca Kay. Hearing her share her story is an absolute inspiration to me as a woman of faith. She is proof that to a large extent, you can have it all i.e be an amazing wife, mom, career woman and an entrepreneur. A bit about her: She is a corporate mom who runs multiple side hustle businesses. She helps likeminded mompreneurs find the time to grow and scale their side hustle business so they can take back control of their day, income and business without the mom guilt.
She is an amazing side hustle coach and in this episode, she is sharing with my audience useful tips and strategies to help you launch and grow your own side hustle. I’m a huge advocate of women starting passion & skill based side hustles that will allow them to create an extra source of income for themselves. Tune in wherever you listen to podcasts or link in my bio.

We are back with another FIRE episode! This week, I sit down with Ioana Rotaru who is a CBT therapist in private practice with a specific interest in working with low self-esteem issues especially when these stem from trauma. She believes everyone can learn to feel good about themselves and as such she co-wrote The Feel Good Journal available to buy on Amazon.
We discuss the mental challenges some of us are facing during lockdown; how to deal with overthinking, reliving past traumas, signs of anxiety & depression as well as when it’s right to seek therapy. And ladies, this is all from a faith based perspective! It’s been a goal of mine to have a therapist on the podcast, as we all know that religion and mental health/therapy have stayed distant cousins. But in this episode, we are being super realistic and Ioana is giving a beginner’s guide to navigating all things mental health as a woman of faith.

In this week's episode, I have my sister girl- Tasha Lallemand back on the podcast. She needs no further introduction as this is her third time back on The Motty Inspires Podcast; that's how AMAZING and FIRE she is. Although 2021 is here and we are enjoying a fresh start, we still have the aftermaths of 2020 to deal with. There is still so much fear, uncertainty and distress in the air, and being that our theme for this month is REST / WELLNESS, I decided it would be fitting to record an episode with Tasha where we discuss what trusting God in 2021 looks like; how to adopt blind / crazy faith and how to really rely on God in this new year.
Get your cuppa tea. It's a good one.

I'm back with another episode with an incredible woman of faith; Rondelle Martin. Rondelle Martin is a Purpose Business Coach who coaches Christian women on how to identify and monetize their purpose by developing their own coaching business. She is passionate about teaching women how to utilize their gifts and talents that God has given them in a way that allows them to create multiple streams of income around their lifestyle and responsibilities. Her passion for helping women monetize their purpose was birthed after she experienced homelessness for almost 2 months upon relocating to Atlanta, and she utilized her gifts and talents to generate income. At this point, God revealed that a part of her purpose is to coach women on how to do what she did. Rondelle is originally from Washington, DC and now lives in Atlanta, GA. She is a single mother to an energetic boy, and enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
In this episode, we discuss 'purpose' and what that looks like in different seasons of one's life. Most importantly, we discuss how you can not only impact people with your purpose but also make an income from it. Rondelle shares how she's helping women with this through her coaching services.
