Welcome to the Crowned Avenue Podcast, a weekly show dedicated to sharing the journey. I am your host Angela Dulaney, join me as I share stories, aha moments, and insights about my own journey towards living a Crowned Life with a mission to encourage you to strive to live a Crowned Life as well. Like I said, this show is entirely dedicated to the journey, so expect a little something different each week. We will dive into topics related to self-doubt, career and entrepreneurship, community issues, marriage & family life, and everything in between. So, if you're ready for the rife, let's go!
Publicly addressing my (possible?) anxiety while simultaneously having an anxious episode while also simultaneously celebrating the fact that I am deep in my JOY bag and even deeper in my AUTHENTICITY bag. Enjoy!

I took some time off but I'm back! At least for a few minutes to wrap up season 2. In this episode I share some news with y'all...I officially completed my Masters of Education in School Counseling in December! I am so excited and will definitely be celebrating for a long time LOL. I also have a birthday coming up, and I talk a little about my take on Black History Month and the "expectations" it brings for some people.

In this episode I dive into one way my "daddy issues" show up in my marriage and the way I perceive my husband's parenting style and relationship with our daughter. I also talk about why I will NOT be "matching energies" in 2022, 2023, or ever.

Y'all! The pst TWO weeks have been a complete whirlwind. This was recorded on Monday October 24th, then I got sick, so I have not had the energy to do literally ANYTHING. Anyway, in this episode I dive into keeping promise to yourself, intentionally resetting my day after work, and practicing intentional self-care. Enjoy!

Y'all, I have been EXHAUSTED these past few weeks. I am taking active steps to combat it, but on this day I just wanted and needed to VENT.

This might be the realest episode yet y'all! It was the Mondayest Monday that ever did Monday, so naturally I had a lot to say. In this episode we dive into how I have been allowing distractions to keep me away from God and, ultimately, many of the answers I've been searching for on this journey. Also, in case it isn't clear from listening/watching, I did NOT want to go to work this day, but I did! Maybe the next episode I can reflect on how I was reminded that I was supposed to be there this day.

What if I told you that your aversion to risks IS holding you back AND it has also kept you safe?
Okay so I like to call myself adventurous, which I am, and I know that I am also pretty risk adverse...at least I have been in some big ways. In this episode I explore a little about my feelings around work, taking risks, and what is next for me and my family. I also disclose my secret obsession with #vanlife and the power of speaking your dreams out loud.

I recorded this episode of the Crowned Avenue Podcast in my car during the lunch break for a training I attended for work. It was a rough day! I had to take calls during the training, my daughter got sick and I was 1.5 hrs away, plus I left later than I intended (although I got there on time). Still, it was a great day and I got to meet up with my friend (from episode 1). My baby is doing much better now too btw.

In this journal entry I share a little about me and why I am sharing these "journal entries" on the podcast. What does it mean to truly live authentically? Hopefully...we got' find out. I also share the woes of riding the struggle bus to work every morning.

I finally ripped the band-aid off, put down my cape, and started therapy. I have also been intentionally making steps to reconnect or stay connected to friends or family after a loooooong season of isolation. Welcome to the thoughts the go through my head. Enjoy!

Last time you heard from your host, Angela Dulaney, I shared with you my experience with my OB up to that point and why I switched to a birthing center. Well, things progressed rather quickly after that. After only 2 appointments with the Birthing Center midwives, I was diagnosed with Gestational Hypertension and referred out to a High Risk OB, which would later lead to a Severe Preeclampsia diagnosis, but not before spending 2 separate stays in the hospital. In this episode, I go into detail about our birth story and the events leading up to the birth of our beautiful babygirl.
In this very special episode of the Crowned Avenue Podcast, I am giving listeners an update on my pregnancy journey so far, and some major changes that I had to make to take control of my prenatal care by making the decision, along with my husband, to switch from an OBGYN practice to a Birthing Center led by Midwives.
After taking some time to myself over the past few weeks, I am back with another episode of the Crowned Avenue Podcast. This week, I take you through my thought process surrounding the current events, what trauma really is, and how I have been processing the trauma of being bombarded with terrible news pretty much on a daily basis over the past few weeks. Think of this as my first podcast journal entry.
If you are having difficulty processing your thoughts and/or feelings, please take some time to love on yourself. If that is not enough, please take advantage of community in any way that you can. In this episode, I share how she overcame and continue to overcome the lies of procrastination by replacing them with a few simple truths that get me all the way together.
Alright y'all, this is my baby before my actual baby lol. In all seriousness, this is a project that has been on my heart for a WHILE, and this past 2 months of being able to quietly, and intentionally work on it has been a dream.
