Pastor Jonathan Barbee continues our series through the book of Acts. In Acts 21:17–26, we see a powerful example of how to handle concerns and potential conflict within the body of Christ. When Paul arrived in Jerusalem, there were misunderstandings and tensions among believers about his ministry. Rather than reacting defensively, Paul responded with sensitivity, recognizing the importance of others’ perspectives and being careful not to cause division. Scripture reminds us to lead by example and to prioritize the spiritual health of others over our own preferences.Paul also demonstrated submission by willingly following the guidance of the church leaders in Jerusalem, choosing unity over personal rights. Hebrews 13:17 reinforces the value of trusting and respecting godly leadership. Finally, Paul’s actions reflected deep commitment. Even when it required personal sacrifice, he remained faithful to his calling and dedicated to the mission of the Gospel.
