CT DJ: Chris Thomas Glasgow, Scotland. 'Infusion Underground' Podcast Progressive & Melodic House & Techno.

CT has been DJ'ing for over 20 years. He held a residency at Glasgow's Underground Club 'Soundhaus' and appeared as a guest DJ at a number of different club nights and pre-club bars across the City of Glasgow and the surrounding area in the late '90s and 2000s.

Music has always been a huge focus of interest from a young age. Trained at the Berkley School of Music, CT is a musician who also plays the keys, guitar, drums, composes music and as a youth was part of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) Choir.

'Infusion Underground' is CT's podcast (Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Apple iTunes and Google Podcasts) which is updated monthly with new mixes of music in the genre of progressive, melodic house & techno. CT also appears as a guest on various online radio broadcasts and does some occasional special mixes of old/classic tracks.

This months episode of Infusion Underground Radio is a special mix of tracks from the 90s underground/warehouse/acid house era. This came as a request from a friend who asked if I could put some of his 'memory lane' tracks into a mix which manifested its self out as this - 18 tracks running for just over 1h 30m.

Some of these tracks came from old viny's - some of them really badly warped and as a result not always keeping great time compared with digital files, it was a battle to mix at times but It was fun to make and I'm pleased how it turned out.

Tonight, I was supposed to go out into Glasgow City Centre for a dinner followed by a boogie at Colours SWG3 Hacienda gig but, with all things getting older, and many responsibilities, it didn't happen. So, after all responsibilities done and dusted, followed by few beers and a few single malts (Talisker) later, this happened, onto the decks with my record box, unplanned, me in the mix for a few hours. This mix started out as a thread on the Sasha & Digweed Facebook Group Page where members selected one track from 2017 they would name as their favourite for the year. This brought out 28 tracks which I have arranged and mixed in a 3 hour extended mix as a best of 2017. Some really big tracks on this which goes very dark and then builds to the end. Welcome to Infusion Underground Radio. To start this series off, i've included one of my old mixes. This is a mix from back in September 2005 from my residency as a DJ at the Soundhaus Club in Glasgow where I was part of a group of friends who ran a monthly night there called Moist. The night ran for a number of years between 2002 and 2005 and showcased local talent plus special guests along with 4 resident DJ's across two rooms to approximately 300 people capacity playing House and Techno. The club is long gone now, it was demolished in 2012 but holds some amazing memories. The mix is from the first hour of my set and picture is from me playing that night.
