Creating the culture you want, being the leader you need to be and building a team to accomplish the vision all starts with Touching the Line.
Touching the line is a term in sports when an athlete is running a familiar drill. You run to a line and you have to bend down and touch it. Few touch it as most just get close.
In culture and leadership....you have to touch the line. There are no shortcuts. In leadership having hard conversations, making decisions that is best for the team and hiring the right people and caring for them...you have to touch the line.
Creating a culture of feedback can be hard if you don't know exactly on where to go. The culture of feedback they've created at Silver Salon has taken years and they are no where close to where they want to be. In this episode Evan talks about how to get started. Once you start getting constructive feedback watch the company develop and move forward faster than ever before.
We all sit in a different seat in the company.
To create a culture of Feedback you have to go first.

Travis and Adelle became friends of mine over the past couple of years. I saw their salon thrive and move into a new space that was absolutely STUNNING! Everything was going great….. then COVID happened.
A year and a half after quarantine they closed their doors. They were heartbroken with an unbelievable amount of peace through the whole process. They struggled not to question everything.
They never made excuses because they knew this was happening FOR them and not TO them.
This is my conversation on the start of 2020, the closing of their salon and what's next.
