Danmo and Steveo dive deep into what it might, emphasis on might, mean for Elon Musk to take control of Twitter. His impact may be overblown, but we dive into what it means for social media to have influence on what free speech means for the globe. And what it might mean for someone like Elon to take a more direct impact on that. Let us know what you think at Danmoandsteveo@gmail.com.
Fireside 53:21- Danmo's Synesethia with TP
A man successfully stole diamonds, without any equipment. He was not who the diamond bank thought he was, and charmed his way to 28 million dollars. Steveo comes ill prepared with the details and Danmo interrupts with thoughtful and thoughtless questions. Amateur hour podcast per usual.
Fireside (28:30)- Timeflies redux
We take a quick dive into a few popular internet vote competitions. Some Taylor Swift, some Boaty McBoat Face, some canibals. Just classics. But the result is- internet is still undefeated.
Fireside 24:45- Gender reveal parties gone wrong
Danmo thought of a way to naturally incline yourself to ween off mindless social media scrolling. By forcing yourself to read any article you scrolled across. Maybe then it will get you to do less scrolling if each time you scrolled you had to put in effort. Danmo and Steveo had mixed results. Listen to the analysis and decide for yourself if its worth doing.
Fireside (22:34)- One-lane or two-lane highways?
*Sorry about Danmo's computer beeps. They calm down after the intro. *
READ THE TRANSCRIPT. That phrase was rhetoric a year ago, but it highlights something important in our modern information society. We have the best access in all of history to primary sources, yet we often never take the time to read them or even look at them. Danmo wanted to actually look at the primary source material on the Paris Climate Agreement and the 1776 Commission. Steveo looked at CDC data. Our conclusions were.. baffling.
Fireside (47:35)- Pizza 0.5
Is it hard to believe in both a Christian God, and climate change at the same time? Danmo does a sermon on the Pod, and explains why it might not be difficult to believe in both simultaneously. Steveo listens, because at times it seems hard to believe in both. See what you think.
Fireside (36:30)- Where is Corbin Bleu these days?
Steveo gets real worked up about when the following phrase gets used sarcastically: "Ok, now that I have thought about it, I have changed my mind." Danmo and Steveo talk about what it might look like to value true civil discourse in our society now. It might even become a new principle/goal/format. Listen to this if you want you mind, not to be blown, but changed.
Fireside- 31:00- Meeting a billionaire
Imagine you were someone who was in a coma before the pandemic and woke up to it. What would be the unprecedented things that would stick out. That essentially happened to real people. Danmo and Steveo run through just few of the pandemic highlights so far. Things like caring who Dr. Fauci is, and chlorine can clean your insides.
Fireside 30:50- Vanilla as a favorite flavor.
There is an idea called deep reading. It is the idea that staying completely focused on one thing gets you to think in ways that sporadic focusing can't. It takes time and being isolated. But, it makes you smarter. Danmo rants like usual, but the concept is worth thinking about... in depth. Pay attention!

Fireside (22:45)- Books in the bath
Danmo and Steveo have their first on-mic guest. Zach. He is a good guy, who just might need some assistance with his app dating profile. Danmo obliged and got him a date. He accepted and got to tell us whether it is a good or bad idea to have your friend filter your dating app matches. He went on the date and he revealed the surprising truth. Then also told us a different dating disaster.
Fireside (43:05)- Accidental Burp
Danmo has a proper rant. Meaning one without enough first hand knowledge, but being upset. Starts with Twitter, then it smoothly moves to an interesting study to show how little it takes to make someone bad at math. Ends with a gut check. So many emotions.
Fireside 32:15- Chopsticks
Danmo and Steveo, in the copious amount of time they took off, didn't plan for an episode with an entree. So here is an episode with 3 random topics.
0:00- What it takes to make a change
11:48- Police search for kidnapping
19:00- Road Rage

Sorry for any scratch sounds, tech error. Figuring it out.
Diving into this impeachment topic at a time like this begs to be political. But Danmo and Steveo hope to defy that seeming necessity. Danmo educates Steveo a little bit about the workings, history, and nature of impeachment. Steveo sounds like he might have learned something.
Fireside (23:00)- Murder, your family?
Please don’t mind the “scratches” you hear, trying to figure those out.

If you have some traditions you like- Danmoandsteveo@gmail.com
Fireside (31:40)- Danmo piloting an airplane

If you have a definition you want to submit, email. Danmoandsteveo@gmail.com
Fireside 33:45- Dancing Rejection
Danmo and Steveo are back after a long break. Small format change. But it has freed them up to have some- as the kids put it- real talk. If you don't know about ranked choice voting, they give you a good start. It saves lives. Then Danmo blows minds with his new concept of a political spectrum.
Fireside 36:30- over the fence, or through the gate?
Guest host Zach Melphy and Steveo say 15 OUTRAGEOUS things to get you fired up... about clickbait. Steveo is upset clickbait works so easy. He and Zach talk about what that does to society, the brain, and in the end, themselves.
Fireside @15:00- Office Lingo translations.
Danmo is out. Tommy steps in to cover a topic he is not only an expert in, but borderline savant, sports. Do sports work to offer more than just entertainment? Tommy seeks to convince Steveo they do. No? Well Danmo has a clever way of convincing, see if you can be persuaded.
Fireside at 19:30- Salt and Pepper.
Parenting is hard, and even moments that have the best of intentions can cause unintentional trauma. Caller Rissa's son is now afraid of car trunks.
And while Danmo and Steveo don't have any kids (to their knowledge), they sure do have a lot of trauma.
Danmo is a bastard... eh, sorry.. bastardizer of arguments. Not really, in fact the opposite. He sees a problem if us common citizens simplify an argument to readily. This may be a fundamental issue with our discourse today. See if you agree, and if not, it's cause you're stupid.
Danmo and Steveo exude masculinity. They go to the gym, they wear flannel, and shave on a somewhat regular basis. Gillett wants to talk about how that can be toxic. Does social justice-style advertising work on a business and societal level?
Danmo and Steveo dissect astrology in how Donovan (from part 1) and how others should view it. Its valid and invalid areas. Smidge of religion thrown in. Thought provoking.
Danmo and Steveo started this podcast at the beginning of 2018, so there is a lot of garbage and gold that should be heard. Now that they are professionals, take a look back on their rookie year.
Danmo is a terrible planner so instead of talking about astrology like they were supposed to, Nicco had to step in and bring an extremely timely topic to the table. The classic consternation that comes with gift giving. Hopefully both fellas learn something about what it means to give well.
Danmo and Steveo are natural born stars. And it's because they know how to get a good podcast guest. Donovan called in to share his reasoning behind believing in astrology. He makes a good case. Stay tuned for the follow up.

A quick chance to look at which personal traditions work, how they came about, and why they stay. Danmo's family is weird, but at least original. Steveo has a story to get you to really consider why you perform certain traditions.
Danmo is a disgusting person. Both biologically and personally. He thinks it works to show his more bodily early on in dating to get that out of the way. Steveo has some tact, and refrains, but has made mistakes in the past...
Not a lot of normal news seems to come out of Nebraska. This time it was a school lunch "chef" that decided it would work to substitute Kangaroo, for beef.
Danmo and Steveo found a guy who has been on CNN. They are moving up in the world. In the 2016 election he wanted to use the electoral college to prevent Donald Trump from gaining the presidency. Spoiler, it didn't work, but it is interesting.
Fireside is our unplanned chats. More on our other show page. This is about what happens when you meet someone with the same name.
Danmo and Steveo receive a call that begs the question of where the line is when trading your time for money. Its gross, heartfelt, and scandalous (ok, maybe not that last one).

Danmo believes he can build relationships over the internet that rival, or even surpass, face-to-face relationships. Sometimes to his detriment. Steveo claimed blasphemy, until he heard Danmo out.
Danmo has incredible taste in certain things, whiskey, cigars, beer... mostly the vices. Steveo has theory that he could be better at picking out the things people like better than the very person he is picking it for. Do you agree? Steveo makes a compelling argument.
After having this episode ready for weeks, Steveo still could not find the proper motivation to get it posted. But there is a way in which Steveo has devised to ensure things get done. There is also a chance to make Danmo look like a fool.
*UPDTATE- A friend has committed to gaining 25 pounds by this due date.
While Danmo is a finance major, he has no clue how to save money. This will be him talking about how he doesnt deserve a job. We also get a call from a classic cheap skate, Nick and how he was homeless to save money.
Danmo and Steveo have found a recipe for a podcast that works. No if's and's or but's. BUT, they have encountered logistical hurdles as to how to keep it going. Here is the solution.
Danmo is a prankster, Steveo is actually a nice guy, so he doesn't pranks. Caller Nathan was a prankster and learned his lesson.
Danmo and Steveo are wimps. That is why we talked to someone who got into a massive brawl to see why fights might work.

Steveo conducted an experiment he thought would work to get Danmo on board with the innovative, talented, energetic, and overall rad music artist, Timeflies. It went...
Steveo witnessed/helped/accompliced a GTA. This highlighted the fact that criminals operate strictly under "ITIW" guidelines. Then it was asked what have you been caught stealing? Caller Luis had quite the answer.
Danmo and Steveo have a way with words, why else would they be doing a podcast besides the external validation. But pickup lines are a conversational hail mary "I think it'll work for conversation.
Danmo is on Spraaaaaaannnngg Break! So we talked about road trips working or not, and even got an update live.

Relationships essentially ignore all logic and justify your relationship with "I think it'll work." Steve's friend Autumn calls in with a great example.
It is time to review our errors in social media. Danmo's sandwich, Steveo's burger, Movie 43 were all part of what we should purge. Or maybe not.
We tell a story of an legendary olympian who must have... must have said in his head, "I think it'll work."
We allowed listeners to to name their price on what we have to do to earn a social media share. Surveys, food, and BN's were just some of the prices named.
Danmo hates blind dates, Steve is so desperate that he is willing to make a blind mistake.
Society has decided that we should take the most important invention, money, and decentralize it. Many people think it'll work. Danmo is too into this, without being invested. Steveo has no clue what he is talking about.
