Starting out at Griffith University, Jack studied a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Theatre, learning his craft and the components of making a show. He then went on to work with a variety of theatre companies, notably performing in the Australian International Opera Company as Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing and Tibalt and Paris in Romeo and Juliet. Ez interviews Trent Griffiths, communications and operations manager, and Arie Rain Glorie, program director and curator of Testing Grounds. Trent started out studying a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) and a Graduate Certificate for Film and Video in Sydney. He later came over to Melbourne to study Screenwriting at RMIT, which helped him land his writing job on Neighbours. He's since worked as a lecturer for Media and Communications, and is currently the communications and operations manager of Testing Grounds. Arie is a visual artist and curator, but started his journey studying a Bachelor of Fine Art (Hons) at RMIT. As a curator, he's worked with a range of emerging and mid-career artists, both at home and on the international stage. After his term as assistant curator for the Gertrude Street Projection Festival (2016), he started working alongside Trent as the program director and curator of Testing Grounds. Ez interviews Caitlin Spears, Melbourne theatre actor and opera singer, as she prepares for her Fringe show, Cactus and the Mime. After finishing her studies at VCA (Bachelor of Fine Arts, Music Theatre), she landed her first lead role in a new contemporary opera called Women in War, which saw her travelling to Greece for 2 months and performing in a 2000 year old amphitheatre. Since then, she's toured around Australia singing in Rolling Thunder Vietnam, a rock-show with Wes Carr (Australian Idol) and Ben Mingay (Packed to the Rafters), and trekked around China, performing Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and Much Ado About Nothing. Ez interviews Sydney comedian and YouTuber, Neel Kolhatkar. Entering the scene at the age of 15, he competed for the title of "Class Clown" at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival back in 2009. After winning the competition, and being crowned funniest high school student, Neel pressed on with his YouTube channel. When his video "Australia in 2 Minutes" went viral, Neel left behind/got fired from his job as an after-school drama teacher (which we speaks about in the show) and went on to pursue a career in comedy. Since then he has become a big name as an Australian YouTuber and comedian, with his subscriptions and socials boasting a cult following. He is currently in Melbourne, bringing his show "#ObjectifyNeel" to the MICF. He popped by the studio for banter, stayed in the studio for real talk. Check out what you missed below!

Ez interviews Sydney rapper, Smizzy (AKA "Smiles Again"). He's been in the scene since the mid 2000s, starting out in the hiphop outfit called Mind Over Matter. After releasing their debut LP Keepin' It Breezy (2008), Free the Wolves (2009), Just Like Fireworks (2011) and This Way to Elsewhere (2014), Smizzy moved on to form another group with rapper, Forbes. He is now releasing his own album early 2017, but has dropped his single We Swear as a taster of what's to come. He's worked with some of the best in the Australian scene, the likes of Bliss n Eso, Drapht, Chance Waters and PEZ. This man has been blessed with the ability to deconstruct other raps, teaching his fans about technique and craft, while maintaining his own style. Molly is a 21-year-old actor, writer, director and producer who studied Film & TV at Swinburne back in 2014. She scored her first big break acting on the ABC sketch show You’re Skitting Me, and she's featured on The Librarians, Upper Middle Bogan and played lead role, Ellie, on the Tomorrow, When the War Began tv series. Laura Buskes is a 27-year-old actor, singer and improviser, who studied acting at APO Academy, as well as short courses at NIDA. Ez interviews Melbourne comedian, Ben Volchok, who is the creator of Ben's Illustrious Facts Show: Episode 3 in the 2016 Melbourne Fringe Festival. He founded sketch comedy group Mudcrabs (Melbourne University Comedy Revue Board) in 2012, which still performs to this day, and won the Campus Comedy Competition in the same year. He then started Rowdy Laughter, a weekly student comedy show, which takes place in the Rowden White Library each week. He has co-directed the UMSU comedy festival, regularly contributes to student magazine Farrago and is involved with university radio station The Fodder and community radio station SYN. He's performed in both the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) and the Melbourne Fringe Festival. His most recent projects were Mudcrabs in Space, And Then There Were Not As Many and his own show, Ben's Illustrious Facts Show: Episode 3.

Ez interviews Melbourne musician/sound technician/aural magician, Josh Trappett, who has created sound for Open Body Theatre’s production the BOX, which put the unrealistic beauty standards for women in the spotlight. Projects on the horizon include writing a “godamn musical aw yis” and writing music as both a solo artist and for his band, Diana’s Foresters. He’s a unique talent that loves creating experimental and atmospheric music. Ez interviews founder of Carolyn West Photography and PR, Carolyn West. She is a Geelong based photographer and also public relations practitioner. Since photographing her first fashion week at the age of 17, she’s become somewhat of an unstoppable force. She had her first solo exhibition titled “Deluded Youth” on Hardware Lane in Melbourne back in 2012. She went on to interview and photograph American writer, magazine editor, singer and actress Tavi Gevinson in 2013. She’s since snapped collections by Alex Perry, Jean Paul Gaultier and Dion Lee at a variety of fashion weeks, and to top it off she has now officially become her own boss.

Ez interviews musician and founder of From the Con to Kabul charity concert series, Ellan Lincoln Hyde. In the last 12 months she has participated in a mammoth 60 concerts, 3 festivals and 2 stage productions. In addition to this she runs her own charity concerts to raise money for the Afghan Youth Orchestra in Kabul - the first orchestra founded in Afghanistan for over 30 years. She's currently studying a Masters in Musicology Research, focusing on, and I quote, “totally badass lady” Marjorie Lawrence (AKA Aunty Marge). Ez interviews Jehnet Kaya, founder of Ms Millie's Pop-Up Poetry Cafe in Brunswick, just off Sydney Road. Her dimly lit space draws the audience close with Persian rugs lining the floor, warm tea lights and lamps glowing around the room and delicious homebaked sweets served during intermission. Jay Jay provides a space once a month for both amateurs and seasoned poets to get up and recite or perform their own original works. Tom and Sharifa are regulars at this spot, performing comedy prose and poetry.
