Anyone who says being a parent is easy has clearly never been a parent. It's the highest demanding, lowest-paid job there is without a shortage of positions. Many times, other than holidays throughout the year, our positions are overlooked until they're in demand--but that's okay. We knew that when we signed up, and will continue because we care about how our children are raised. So no matter how we do it, I hope this channel provides relief, comedy, understanding, and tips in assisting you to be an even better parent. You are awesome, so congratulations on parenthood. You're doing it! Yay!
The fourth of July celebrates our country's togetherness, but sometimes that can be hard doing as a single parent. Rather than moping around, we need to create our new family traditions and remember that we all belong in this country, supporting each other.

When we consider the safety and growth of our children, we realize we must rely on others at times to care for them--such as school. But are you aware that children as young as six years old are committing suicide? The description of such things does not denote a mentally healthy society, and leads to other ways of acting out for students either attempting to defend themselves, as a first grader who got caught with his mother's loaded handgun in his backpack, for protection from a bully; or loners who have found their lives so unfulfilling they discover their inability to function in society in an acceptable way because they've spent the majority of their spare time "impersonating" a bold personality in an RPG. Later, they realize it's all pretend when reality finally kicks in. After bringing this information up in this discussion, is removing guns and ammo going to cause these individuals to be normal, or will they find another means?

When we think about Mother's Day and telling them, "Thanks, Mom!" that's a short salute to what is provided every single day of the year by the most influential women of our lives. So what do moms really deserve? It's true that the little things all add up. Did you know there are 168 hours in a week? Come on, donating one of those hours for the preservation of sanity is definitely worth it! Mother's Day should be a hell'uva lot more often than once a year, but let's make our own rules for ourselves.
