Ever had thoughts on a loop that seem out of your control? Struggled with fears or anxious thoughts popping into your head that send your mind spiralling? In this episode I break down how you can think about what you're thinking about - and no, it's not as confusing as it sounds!
It's called metacognition. The literal act of thinking about your thoughts.
I give a few examples of how you can do this, and we briefly talk about how you can use this as a tool to stop obsessive thought patterns and become more self-aware, which will lead to a more positive life as you have healthier thought patterns.

We can experience so many different emotions throughout the day, and letting our emotions rule us is a surefire way to feel the worst. To stop yourself from getting trapped in a loop or stuck in a certain emotional state, there are many ways you can use activities and actions to shift your mindset fairly quickly.
In this episode, I share with you several ways that you can take a negative emotion, like anger, and shift it to release yourself from its grasp before it becomes overwhelming. Learning how to self-regulate your emotions is essential for living a happier, more stable life.

I was talking with one of my good friends, Whitney, today and she mentioned that maybe I am depressed because I am feeling situational depression - not actually clinically depressed. And the more I thought about it, the more I realized that she was bang on the money. I had been so caught up in my cycle of stress that I forgot I even talk about this in my book, 'Positive Power: 12 Steps to Mastering Your Mindset'!
The situations we put ourselves in can make or break us. We can move to a new city thinking it will be the right thing for us, but it ends up taking us farther away from what we actually wanted. We can spend time with friends who we thought were fun, but actually, drain us of our energy because they don't align with our goals.
This podcast is all about how to notice when you're being affected by your situations, how to take an inventory of that, and then how to shift it, shake it off or let go of any situations that aren't serving your life purpose.

Patience has never been something that came easy to me. I had to really learn patience, the hard way. Through perseverance in the face of adversity and building a mindset of never giving up on the things that are truly important to me. In this episode, we dive into what that looks like during the pandemic and beyond.

Creating boundaries can feel impossible. Especially if it's with your partner, a family member or a colleague. Any relationship that aims to be a successful one needs to begin with you establishing healthy boundaries. This means knowing and showing others how you will and will not be treated.

I lost my best friend of 15 years this week, and the devastation of it combined with the rest of 2020 has hit me hard. But I wanted to make a podcast to honor him and his life, and to share how the grief has affected me so that others who are grieving the loss of their furry family members can know they are not alone.

The people in our lives have a huge impact on our mental health and can either limit or enhance our life experiences.
Have you ever taken an assessment of who you’re choosing to spend your time with?
Most people don’t do this, but it’s an essential part of changing your future.
In this episode, I dive into working at home during the lockdown and coronavirus pandemic, how important it is to focus on yourself during this time and to practice gratitude for what we have instead of focusing on the thinking traps about where we are not or what others have accomplished. I dive into how empowering it is to take things one day at a time to build a healthy habit and how to use that same method to get rid of negative habits.
