We have been taking about what worship is. As a spinoff we have decided to go deeper by deconstructing the 5 acts of worship. We kick off the convo with giving. Watch for landmines as we go through a delicate topic.
Part 3 of our series on Worship. Romans 12:1 "present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." We end up with more questions than answers.
We talk about the components of worship, but is there room for the heart? We also talk about our lives as a living sacrifice being our spiritual worship.
With recent COVID restrictions in WA, we can no longer congregationally sing indoors. This discussion goes into the balance of Gods commands vs. Mans laws. Or is it a vs. in this case after all?

We really dig into this and challenge ourselves and therefore you as well. Let's see what we can pull out of the truth we find in 1 John.
The parable of the 2 sons. Matt 21:28-32. 28 “What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard. 29 “‘I will not,’ he answered, but later he changed his mind and went. 30 “Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but he did not go. 31 “Which of the two did what his father wanted?” “The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.
Luke 17:7-10 How much is enough when it comes to our service? If you know the answer let us know... We explore what this parable is really requiring of us. This is not for the faint of heart.

We did deep into this one. What exactly is baptism's role?

John 14:6 Jesus said to him "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". How well do we really know him? Are we trying to do it our way or his way? Listen up for some challenging questions. Bonus: We may get a record deal out of this episode.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Can a nice person end up in hell? That sounds a bit harsh but we didn't write the book. Let's dig in and see what it says.

Okay...so now what... After dealing with a real coffee crisis, we dig into this verse full force. Note: Daniel is not really a chainsaw killer. But seriously, unless we understand the gravity of Romans 3:23, we will never even start on a path that can lead to salvation.
Season 2 is all about Salvation. Boiled down to 8 key verses. This episode is an introduction to the season. The goal for the season is to walk any person through what it takes to get to heaven.

The last full episode in our study on the book of James from the New Testament Bible. We dive headlong into prayer, join us for the plunge. Sidenote: We apologize for the rain in the background. James 1:12-20. Julian has another little cry about coffee. Talking about temptations. “No variation or shadow of turning”. Talking about firstfruits. Being swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath.
James 1:2-7. Maintaining and growing your faith in the face of adversity. If your faith is real then you will truly be able to count it all joy. Also, beware the dangers of doubt!
