Week 8: John Wesley raises someone from the dead! We spend some time talking about John Wesley’s experience of the Holy Spirit’s power, how signs and miracles were always linked to the apostles’ ministry, and cessationism.
Week 7: Holy Spirit and disruption! This week we cover what Wesley said about gifts of the Holy Spirit, we spend some time in Acts where the Holy Spirit fell on Gentiles, and why Wesley emphasized Love instead of the Gifts. Week 6: Holy Spirit and Evangelism. In this week we look at some of the first concerts where the Holy Spirit was boldly at work. An Ethiopian Eunuch and a Roman soldiers’ family!
Jesus, Miracles, Pentecostalism, and the Holy Spirit key to conversion. This week we look at the explosion of the Church and how almost all conversions are tied to a 1st or 2nd hand account of a miracle. That matters!
