Children who have undergone trauma often appear as fearful, anxious, depressed, angry, hostile and aggressive. They may also engage in unhealthy sexual behaviour, feel isolated and stigmatized, exhibit low self esteem, find difficulty in trusting others and in extreme cases, abuse substances.
