Pax begins to understand why Bristle feels strong dislike for humans after she tells the story of what happened to their parents. Do you think Pax will be able to change her mind about humans, or do you think he should even try?
Though robots "don't really feel emotions," (page 8) Roz is definitely experiencing some strong emotions in these 2 chapters. What feelings do you think Roz is experiencing, and how do her feelings compare to how animals in the wild and humans experience emotions.
Roz is growing a garden with the help of a deer named Tawny. If you were to grow a garden in your yard, what flowers and plants would you include? Why would you include those plants?
