The Modern Lending Podcast is designed to equip the local Mortgage Professional with the tools to evolve their businesses into the digital lending era.
Mortgage marketing for AI-first consumers starts with one hard reality: your customers may ask AI before they call you. In this live keynote, Alec Hanson shows loan officers and local sales professionals how a searchable content library, consistent visibility, and real human connection can help them stay relevant.
The traditional relationship game has not disappeared, but where those relationships begin is changing. Consumers still value local expertise, trust, and personal connection, but they increasingly search Google, watch YouTube, scroll social media, and use AI tools before reaching out. Alec explains why mortgage professionals must build both physical and digital connection strategies instead of relying on referrals and local relationships alone.
One of the keynote’s most practical ideas is a 61-video YouTube content library for loan officers. Alec breaks down how professionals can create evergreen videos around the questions they already answer for first-time homebuyers, investors, move-up buyers, and other clients. Sixty videos answer those common questions, while the final pinned video introduces the professional and explains the channel. Together, those videos can become a searchable, 24-hour resource when potential clients use Google, YouTube, or AI.
Alec also shares how he developed his own content system by committing to 100 videos in 100 days. He began without a real strategy, learned through repetition, and eventually built a process that allows him to create one longer piece of content and distribute it across multiple platforms. The lesson is not that every loan officer needs the same production system. The lesson is that consistent execution creates the experience needed to develop one.
The keynote also includes a real mortgage video follow-up example. A loan officer published a useful video that received roughly 250 views. Instead of relying only on the platform to distribute it, she began texting it directly to past clients who might know someone facing that specific financial problem. That intentional follow-up turned a one-to-many piece of content into personal conversations and new business opportunities.
Throughout the presentation, Alec explains how micro-impressions build familiarity, why social media should be treated as a human connection tool rather than only a lead-generation platform, how mortgage professionals can influence AI search results, and why imperfect human content may become more valuable as AI-generated content becomes harder to distinguish from reality.
This keynote is for loan officers, mortgage professionals, real estate professionals, commission-based salespeople, and local business leaders who want to remain visible, useful, and trusted as customer behavior changes.

How loan officers get recommended by AI starts with one simple reality: AI can only recommend what it can find online. In this live session, I break down how mortgage professionals can stay visible, relevant, and trusted as clients increasingly turn to AI for answers.
We look at the shift from a referral-first society to an internet-first world, how platforms like Zillow intercepted the customer, and why the biggest AI threat for loan officers is not technology adoption. It is becoming irrelevant.
I also share practical ways to stay connected through calls, texts, email, physical mail, social media, local events, reviews, YouTube, and useful online content. The goal is not to automate your personality or deepfake your presence. It is to solve real problems, publish useful answers, and build trust that technology cannot replace.
