Hosted by Russ and Tony, each episode is 12 to 70 minutes of passionate blather about a beer and a song. We drink the beer. We listen to the song. Disagreement and ridicule abound. Sometimes there is more than one beer. Sometimes there are no songs. Sometimes there are multiple songs. There has never been no beer.
It's difficult to convey the joy and relief of the three of us (Kit is back, DUH) getting to sit in the same room together and chortle about college football for the first time in two years. Drinks and snacks abound. And a song even! Also, listen to us misuse words like benefactor and disillusion!

Okay, there's a lot going on here. This is our first attempt at recording remotely ~i n t h e s e u n c e r t a i n t I m e s~. We used Zencastr for remote audio, and it works really really well, but there's some 60-cycle hum that I can't remove. This whole thing is an audio adventure! We drink BeatBox Party Punch and talk to Jeff Chassner, who runs sales there. My expectations were admittedly low(ish) going in and Jeff shattered them. I don't know how much party punch I'll be purchasing in the future, but it is a really interesting product. We listened to a single by John K. Samson that will melt you just like all of his other songs. This was fun and challenging to record and put together, and I'm really happy we did it.
This episode is a mess!! We offer you the finest under-informed tepid takes on healthcare, Europe, emo rap, Doritos, team flu, and there's an entire beer and song! Also ... starting at 35:30 Russ describes his own wenis, which should not be missed. The whole thing, just an absolute mess.
Happy New Year! We recorded this a few weeks ago, but it's all somehow still relevant, which is crazy given everything that went down in January. Would you believe there was recently more water in Tony's basement?

Eric Miller from Yonah Mountain vineyards visited the studio and brought a whole bunch of wine with him. As we talk about in the episode, we tried to do a similar episode a couple years ago, but the final product was nowhere near even our incredibly low standards. This time we pulled it off, and we learned a lot about grape juice. I thought about breaking this up into two parts, but it's really best as one coniguous conversation, even if it takes you a week to listen to. Finally, this might be the (unintentionally) lip-smackingest, mouth noisiest episode we've ever done (RUSS).

Here's a short one with a beer from Six Bridges Brewing outside Atlanta and a song off the new Sturgill album. Yes, we know you have thoughts about Sturgill you're dying to share with anyone who will listen. Just save it. Take some breaths. Count to 500 million. You'll be fine.

This episode hits the ground fully off the rails and then sort of recovers but not really. Also, two words: CONSPIRACIST THEORIST
Our pal Kit (@ludakit) joins us as he does every year to talk about the world's greatest and most awful amateur sport. Which one of us loves Vandy the most? How many games will Bama lose? What is the interest rate on a money market savings account at Lincoln Riley Financial? Okay, get in there.
We were summoned from our long, peaceful slumber by a couple of yokels from Alpharetta of all places, who somehow managed to fabricate podcast beef(?) out of thin air. So this is our half-cocked response. Sigh.
Two tall cans of IPA full of hops we don't recognize from Satulah Mountain and Old Nation Brewing Companies, respectively. And a song from Billy Joel you've definitely heard but probably wouldn't guess.
Russ picked the song, so Russ has no one to blame but himself. Also, the song rules so hard. Russ picked a great one.
We are joined again by our Light American Lager correspondent, so we feed him a massive barrel-aged stout.
Our buddy Chris joins us for some deep summer philosophizing and a couple beers that end in Light/Lite. TONY TONY WHATS WITH THE HEAVY BREATHING. Well, since I am not able to make audio equipment function in any productive way, Chris was without the benefit of headphones throughout. We are nothing if not consistent.
The chicken wing content starts around 15:45 if that's the only reason you're here, which is totally understandable.
A real good beer from Mother Earth, a funny ha ha song from Russ, and two audibly delicious snacks from the UK. Also, ENHEIGHTENED is a word now.
We drink a fantastic beer from The Bruery and explain why it is long overdue, and Russ is back on his ... music.
Show note: Luther College in Decorah, Iowa has just under 2,400 students, not 7,500 as authoritatively estimated by Tony. Tony's guesstimate of 10,000 total residents in Decorah was much closer to the actual ~8,100 (as reported by Wikipedia).

This was a really fun episode to record. It’s pretty loose and trying to wrangle four mics makes for a couple rough spots, so, basically, everything you’ve come to expect from us. Get in there!

We were joined by Taylor from Oconee Brewing Company, which is slated to open in early 2017 in Greensboro, GA (sort of halfway between Atlanta and Augusta). Taylor graciously drove six hundred thousand miles from Greensboro and braved bizarro Sunday Atlanta traffic to sweat it out in the basement and we are thankful for that.
In addition to a couple Oconee brews, Taylor also brought a song by Brad Carter. As I mentioned in the episode, here is a link to a video of Brad Carter playing guitar while having brain surgery.

It took us an extra week and a wasted episode, but we’re here with episode of our lord one hundred and fifty and it is a good’n.
Who’s your favorite recurring guest? If you said anyone other than Blake, well … I guess, go back to episode one and start over. He’s been with us before (20, 99, 100), and we love having him on because we can just lean on him for intelligent, coherent information about beer, as opposed to … you know.
Blake was nice enough to bring us some samples of Creature Comforts’ soon-to-be-released Mutualism. It’s set to be available at the brewery as a to-go souvenir tour option starting July 14th, but we got to enjoy it early because we are elite beer journalists. It tastes like LISTEN TO THE EPISODE.
Blake also brought a song from local Atlanta rockers Stonerider who released a new album called Hologram a couple months ago. We listen to “Elevator Operator,” and it is very good, but I’ll just tell you it is very long. Russ said that Stonerider sounds like “Emerson, Hall, & Oates” and he wasn’t trying to be funny or ironic because Russ.
