This one mindset shift changed the way I look at agent attraction
I’ve been in the backend of some of the largest real estate organizations and they all have one thing in common
It’s really simple actually and most people make it more difficult then it should be
The main goal is to add value and expect nothing in return
This is what I believe recruiting is…
Forcing the opportunity in everyone you see
Reaching out one time and pitching and if they aren’t interested never reaching out again
And maybe, just maybe it isn’t the right time for them
Here is what agent attraction looks like
Adding value and expecting nothing in return
Think about it…
Ultimately their decision to partner or not is completely out of my control
The only thing we are in control of is the amount of value we’re adding to their lives
When you do this… the right agents reach out and are ready to join you
I want to share with you guys someone who believed in me when most people were giving up on me
Hell I was giving up on myself
But Matt Milia saw something in me
I was going no where FAST in life
Stereotypical great athlete who didn’t commit to the craft and was going to be reliving my “glory days” talking about what I did “back in the day”
Didn’t have a plan in life, was drinking and smoking all the time
Matt called me and brought me over and shared with me a vision of what I could do
He had an opportunity and he saw something in me that he believed in
And man I haven’t looked back since
Just think about all the lives that have been changed because of one persons decision
We’re literally saving children around the world from child trafficking because of this
Helping thousands of agents around the world because of this
The compound effect of investing in people and building leaders
It’s ok for others to believe in your before you do in yourself
And I just wanted to come and here and thank Matt and share with you guys the power of words
I believe in collaboration at the highest level
I believe in who we partner with and grow with matters
But when Nick Good asks me to speak at his event From Good To Great I booked my flight right away
I've grown my business into 13 countries and all 50 states because we help real estate agents shoot video the SIMPLE way
That's exactly what I'm going to bring to you all in Dallas Texas... the simple solution to become the go to real estate agent
As a bonus... anyone who attends the live in person event receives access to my Branding Class which helps you create, grow and scale a brand
Tickets are limited and the event is next Thursday, 3-6PM

There was a time in my life where I was giving up on myself
Where I thought I’d get a job I hate
And just do that and come “home” every day
Being here in McKinney Texas
Meeting new people who are just badasses
Speaking on stage and getting to share part of my story
Collaborating with my friends I’ve gotten to know in this industry
And now I get to walk around this city I’ve never been and just soak it in
Working with clients all over the world is something I believe I’ve taken for granted
It’s a privilege to serve these amazing people and help share their story and make the world a better place
Most people won’t see the vision
But that doesn’t mean you stop it don’t take action
Let’s take this house for example
We’re still filling it as we go
We have beds coming down, desks, glass white boards and TV’s
We just ordered our wall artwork to fill up some of the space
Everyone’s first question “well how are you going to fill it?”
I’m going to fill it because I’m committed to doing so and have a vision which I will bring to life
When people say to stop working so hard
And I think I’d work twice as hard to do things like this faster
People call you crazy until it works… then you’re a genius
No one’s coming to get your ass out of bed this morning
No one’s coming to make you chase your dreams
This video might do it today, but what about tomorrow and the next day?
Books, audio books, people to hold me accountable never got me to get out of bed consistently
It’s the sheer will and drive to better myself and win the day
I hear this all the time
“I just don’t have enough time in the day to shoot video”
Well here’s the two main reasons why that’s true
You’re not following a simple enough process
Or you spend too much damn time consuming videos
Until now
Grant Cardone talks about having such raving fans that when you call with something new that you’re passionate about they’re ready to go before going into details
I’m rolling out a COMPLETE done for you event and brand building workshop complete with a stay here at the high rise, two days at my content house and much more
We have it priced at $5,000 and before I went passed that I had two people jump and get started
It’s inspired me to add more and over deliver and get them our VIP package at our next event included
I love working with committed and passionate people
There was a time when I wasn’t getting to where I want to in life
And this simple exercise helped me get on the right path
I’d make two lists of three
There people I should spend more time with
And three people I should spend less time with
And once I wrote it down it became real
I’ve driven by this lake at least 10 times now
But this was the first time I really looked at it
Since this family took time out of their day just to take it in it got me thinking
What am I not seeing that is so great and am I taking the time to really look at the beauty around me
And it got me thinking where else in life I’m doing this
This trip we felt all the love
What a great event Chris Wendt put on with Bankers Cup
And it was great to feel all the support from everyone who saw me grow here in Cleveland
I appreciate all of you!
There was a time in my life I wasn’t able to say this
I was coasting and just ending up in random places and think
How the hell did I get there
And the reason I love my life so much
Is because I created it with intention
It can take me living at my parents 3.5 -4 years ago
To now living in this gated lake community
This change does not happen without massive action
It does not happen without betting on myself
I can’t wait to share the vision we have for this new place
It’s going to change the way video and real estate are done
Someone recently hit my with the “who do you think you are” because of my posts
The new house and the attention I knew the haters would come
And it made me think..
Who am I?
I sold everything I had to start my business
I worked for free to prove my worth
I started a non profit to save children from child trafficking
I work with some of the biggest names in real estate
So my answer was
I’m motherf* Nick Krem
This one is for all my weekend warriors!
Putting in the work when the world goes out and gets distracted
When people say “lazy Sunday” we say perfect time to get ahead
I literally ran out of ink in my pen taking notes here
I’m not going to instantly implement everything written down
What I noticed is we get event high and want to go back and change everything
What happens after that is we end up going back to doing our usual routine a month or two later
That’s why I take my notes, store it in my brain, and have 2-3 things I’m going to actively do moving forward
Man this One Big Fire in Honey Badger Nation with eXp is SO BIG and SO HOT
And it’s because of the culture we have here
The 7,000+ honey badgers around the world embrace the culture and truly act out of abundance
Being surrounded by friends and business partners that offer the support they do gives me the confidence and belief that I can do anything
Leaving my beliefs at the door
The box and mindset I’m in are constantly changing
Listening to Coach Michael Burt for two hours and I know when I go in there with an open mind he’s going to fill it with knowledge
The only way he can fill it.. is if my cup is empty
This is where legends are made
Weekends and what we spend our time and focus on can make or break your goals
The question we have to ask ourselves is this…
Am I more excited by my goals or going out?
#WinTheDay
When Mike Russo walks out of a room and commits to 5-7 videos a week.. we’re in the right room
This is why it’s so important to define our purpose and our “why”
Without that being clearly defined I wouldn’t feel the urgency to accomplish my goals
If I didn’t have my goal of doing a quote a day I sure as hell wouldn’t be surrounded by these birds
P.S. yes these birds still are my weird fear
The weekend just passed… what did you do with your time?
It’s the night before the new week… staying up for the game or getting some sleep?
I’m going to sleep.. let’s #WinTheDay
They printed billions of dollars these past few years alone
The only thing there is a shortage of the mindset
I was going to do this video later in the day until I read this quote
It spoke to me because I know I used to be stuck in my past
“No one’s been through what I have”
“You don’t know what I’ve been through”
And I found myself reliving my past day by day as I retold my past afflictions
For me that was an excuse to act or take no action on bettering my future
And I lost sight of the greatness that still was inside me
I can get behind this one all day
There is no such thing as too busy
We either get things done and MAKE time for what’s important or we don’t
I’m big on decision making filters and in order to have those filters I need to be clear on my purpose
Once the purpose is clear I know what brings me closer or further away
So now I only do things that fulfill my purpose
Whether we like it or not video is NOW and the agents who are on social media are taking over the industry
It is no longer the most experienced and skilled agents that will be winning deals...
It is the agents who ADAPT to the new way of doing business... video
Our goal is to help agents make the transition into the virtual world whether you are brand new, in the business 50 years, 90 years old or 18, our SIMPLE video strategies are made for everyone
Here's what you'll get

The simple video formula to create engaging content every time

And much more

Average is a disease and can infect anyone
The words we say, the actions of those around us, the doubt it brings is contagious
Who cares what other people think is normal…
I’m going to do whatever it takes
Don’t overthink this one
We all know whether we are taking massive action or just enough to get by #WinTheDay
Real estate agents be ready to be bagging groceries in the next year or two if you don’t do this…
It’s all the magical moments we’ve been able to crest together in LIFE
It’s being inspired so much by Rebecca Soto and Josue Soto story that we write a book together and share their story with the world
It’s Veronica Figueroa inviting me ober when Sekou Pyle was in town and having a real chat about growth and how it effects our friendship and supporting each other’s life
It’s going to masterminds in Key West and going to Sloppy Joes with Jay Kinder and the crew
It’s traveling to Phoenix and spending a day at the Forum with the amazing team Chuck and Angela Fazio built and enjoying some live music
It’s going to Put N Bay every year with Albie Stasek and Andrew Gaydosh and hanging out at Mojito Bay
Being a Honey Badger opens up the possibility to have these magical moments all across the world and so much more
And through all of that support each other in business and completely open the playbook to help each other grow
This one hits home because I remember starting my business, selling everything I had and just releasing people from my life
It was the first time I truly bet on myself and decided to say fuck what people think about me
If I’m not happy and don’t surround myself with people who appreciate me for who I am then I don’t want it
The bottom allowed me to be my authentic self and only focus on what adds value to my life
Too many times we look for that instant gratification
Where we worked a little harder and think we deserve something
Being at this boot camp and seeing how long Grant had to work his ass off before seeing the START of his growth has shown me something
The work leads the way.. the payment follows
I’m walking over to the boot camp over an hour early to make sure we get a good seat in the front
And it got me thinking…
Last night after the conference we spent our night masterminding on what we just learned
And were in bed by 9 o’clock!
Yes that is possible at these events
But everyone I was with was on the same page same schedule and back to it today
Talking about what it means to support someone
Just think about how difficult we are as individuals
And then the strength it would take for someone to be truly supportive
It truly is a super power
It will not be the most skilled agent that wins
It will not be the most experienced
It will be the agent who is willing to show their face on video and adapt
I get it… most of y’all didn’t get into the business to shoot video and use social media
That’s what I’m got
I help agents by making video and social media SIMPLE AND IMPLEMENTABLE
Align yourself with someone like me
The homeowner deserves to work with the best skilled agent and you deserve to work with the best skilled person to take your business virtual
Check the link below to see how you can partner with me
But my business partner leaned over to my and told me a crazy stat about our business
We sent out over 1,000,000 emails last year
As we learned here at Grant Cardone boot camp just soaking in the value
It’s not the best product that wins… it’s the best known product
My goal is to break over 2.5 million emails this year
I came out to Denver to share that opportunity with some like minded agents
And now I have the rest of the day to myself
I’ll be hitting some local places to eat
Riding my scooter to great views like this
And doing whatever brings me joy
The ones willing to stay committed on the weekends
While the rest of the world tells you to party and asks you to join them in taking a break
The weekend warrior continues working on hitting their goals
About once a week he’d take me out to dinner somewhere
I didn’t know it at the time but these were truly the first lessons I got in personal development
We’d talk about the business and what I wanted to do with life
And I’ll never forget one thing he told me…
If you’re going to bet on anything… bet on yourself
Those words stuck with me over the years
Present-day… I have my own business in 13 countries and 50 states
And I’m on my way to Miami to have a 3-day boot camp with Grant Cardone to continue to invest and bet on myself
I used to think we all had to wait our turn
We had to be “called up” to the big leagues
Someone had to let us in
That’s the biggest load of crap
The biggest ah ha I had was in Key West when I heard all of the biggest names in the country get vulnerable
And it hit me… they’re human just like me and if they can do it so can I
I left there with the belief that I could do anything and haven’t looked back since
History rewards the bold
These last couple weeks I’ve been doing some self reflection and taking a look at who I’m with and I noticed a couple things
From the outside the people I’ve grown with have all the accolades, money and clout
But that’s not why we grow and partner together
It’s the belief that we all want to become the best possible human
It’s the belief that we are stronger together
It’s the belief that our vulnerability will help others
It’s the belief that together we can change the world
Our core values and beliefs are stronger than any dollar sign
Keeping up with the Snyders!
The fastest way to success is find someone there and duplicate it
Being licensed less than 18 months and 14 million in production…
Here’s how
Many will say Veronica Figueroa is fearless but I know that’s not true
But with her SHE DOES IT ANYWAYS and that’s even more badass and why she is a hero to me
She never backs down even when all the odds are against her
She pushes herself everyday and which challenges me do it too
If y’all didn’t know… now you know who the Queen of real estate is The Veronica Figueroa
Here’s Michael Collier and we want to know what he wants to get out of being at exp con this year
When we wait for greatness no one wins
The people we could’ve helped don’t win
Our family we could’ve helped doesn’t win
And we don’t win
Take action now and watch everything around you get better #WinTheDay
If you told me what I’d be doing with my life 10 years ago I wouldn’t have believed you
I was a completely different person at the time
My core values haven’t changed, but I’ve slowly and continuously challenged myself
Too many times I see the someone try something new, become uncomfortable, quit and chalk it up to “it’s just not for me”
Anything new and challenging will be uncomfortable, that’s when the fun begins
We can never grow without being uncomfortable
Today I challenge you to try something new that makes you feel uncomfortable #WinTheDay

Tonight I have dinner with speakers from around the nation for Relaunch Live Tampa
Tomorrow afternoon speaking at Relaunch Live
Then flying to Cleveland to go to a concert put together for a charity I started
Friday I’ll be speaking at an office rated best places to work in Cleveland
Followed by my families annual clambake on Saturday
This is just the beginning of what’s to come…
But looking at where I’m at now makes me really think of how important even the smallest decisions turn to big goals
No decision is insignificant, every goal we hit matters, can’t wait for what’s to come and what’s here right now
I’m always reading and learning new ways to have the right mindset
Part of learning is the experiences we have
Today being at the ocean, seeing the big waves, feeling the current
It reminds me that there is no such thing as thinking too big
How far are you willing to go to bet on yourself?
To most people they can look at me and say I’ve always been convinced in myself
But for a long time it was cocky… which was a hollow shell I’d mask all my uncertainty with
I can’t stress the importance of the little decisions I made to get clear on who I was and where I wanted to go
The small times I decided not to go out and spend on defining myself
The masterminds I decided last minute to go to just to surround myself with the right people
Betting on yourself and finding yourself isn’t a one time thing..
It’s a constant battle defined by the small decisions we make everyday
Choose to win your small battles and win the day
For many, especially my parents, they know I wasn’t always the rise and shine type of guy
But a simple phone call with my brother changed that
When I say simple… we literally just told each other we’re deciding to be morning people now
And here we are workout done, my intentions for the day mapped out, and jamming to some Snoop Dogg to start the day
This was the conversation I had with Veronica Figueroa Sekou Pyle Josue Soto and Rebecca Soto a couple months back
We'd all like to say "it's great"
This weekend I was hit multiple times this the "you've changed" and "it's going to my head"
And it made me think deeper...
I haven't changed... I've become more the person I already was
I want to give the people I love a life so great
I want to help children and people around the world
In order to do so... I have to become the best version of myself
My question to you is... when you hear someone getting more success what are your initial thoughts?
And the real test for your relationship...
When you hear someone you DON'T like... what are your thoughts?
Something I’ve had to work into my calendar every single day
I make sure I do an activity that I enjoy… after all what do we do all this hard for?
Today I got to throw the football around the pool with my brother
Not much has changed it’s still as fun as it was 20 years ago
What did you do to enjoy your day?
When I was more consumed with my ego…
I’d think posting pictures at my buddy’s parents places made me cool
I would go party on someone else’s boat on a Tuesday and post about it
The truth of it was when I was doing all that I wasn’t doing anything productive with my life
My ego clouded the truth that I was not accomplishing my goals
I’m continuing to grow and leaving my ego at the door has allowed me to enjoy MY mew view downtown Orlando with much more to come
The ones who choose to be just as committed and work their ass off on the “weekend”
I get excited over the things I believe I can do better than anyone else
I get more excited over the things anyone can do but I choose to be more committed to
Anyone can work their ass off on the weekend.. but who’s going to take the action and do it?
Let’s win the day
My mattress hit it and the whole thing went black
In the past this would have ruined my day, week and even talking about it now I wouldn’t be happy
Here’s one of the amazing things about being around the right people who challenge you to grow
Instead I’d being mad about something that I can’t fix…
I realized all I can do is carry on with my day and be more careful
Plus having a big TV doesn’t add any value in my life
Let’s #WinTheDay
got so uncomfortable when I got in this room…
I was in a room learning from arguably the most committed individual I know and I was super uncomfortable
I thought I was committed… but that day I saw what true commitment was
At first I told myself to at he had something I didn’t
But I knew that wasn’t true
So I started forcing myself to stay every weekday, every weekday to work towards my goals
It started with a lot of fomo and battling myself to stay in
I’ve been doing it for so long now something amazing happened
I went out last weekend for all of about 2 minutes….
I realized I wasn’t hitting my goals and went right back in and back to work
Now you can’t force me to go out and go away from my goals
What I learned is that commitment is a muscle… not a superpower to at some people have
See I may be business savvy and doing things most people don’t in business my age
And I hit milestones in business that get me excited
But for me getting my Costco card and getting healthy food feels like a big milestone for me
I guess to me it’s a signature of “growing up” to go do these things
My point of sharing this is simple…
This may not seem like a big deal for a lot of people but it doesn’t have to
Be proud of milestones and growth you hit for yourself even if it’s as simple as being a gold member at Costco
Freedom comes in many forms… and a lot of times it takes us stopping our fast paced live to realize it
I’ve learned to take moments out of my day and appreciate where I’m at and what I choose to surround myself with
A nice walk around the lake at sunset… right now there’s nothing better
Our last year together was no different… breaking multiple school records and getting to the sweet 16 for our state
The coolest part… all 5 starters averaged over 10 points
Especially in high school it was rare to have a complete team, well in public schools
But what I learned the most from it was the fact that we all knew our role
My role wasn’t to the main scorer, or to have the ball in my hands at all times
I could slash, get assists and defend with the beat of them
Getting into business i decided to follow the same path… stick to what I do best and have teammates fill in for their role
This makes communication easier because I know exactly who to reach out to
This also allows us to give too service because I can say confidently we have an expert working in that area of the business
What I learned from basketball… know your role and find others who know their role
I would always think how can I grow my business
What tactics should I implement to grow
What do I need to DO to grow my business
But what I learned from my mentors is this…
Who do I need to become for my business to grow
My business will only grow as big and great as I’m willing to grow as an individual
Instead of asking myself what do I need to do…
I ask myself who do I need to become
How far are we willing to go to accomplish them
My life has completely changed within the last three years and it’s going to keep changing
The change and discomfort is what’s needed for growth and hitting the next level
I find myself obsessed with the next step and staying in and doing brainstorming sessions on my balcony
I don’t see it as a “sacrifice”
This is what I want because I know where it’s leading me
How far are you willing to go to live the life of your dreams?
It’s not my gift of gab
It’s not my systems
It’s not my online presence
It’s the fact that I can speak with certainty
Since I test everything I do before rolling it out I’m certain of what it can do
My deep dives into myself as an individual give me certainty when I speak about mindset
Certainty in myself and my business gives me confidence
Certainty in where I want to go allow me to take massive action
Certainty is my most valued attribute
I take actions that help me meet my immediate goals
But those goals are tied into the long game
We are in the business of creating relationships and that doesn’t happen overnight
Simply adding value once and waiting for the return…. You’ll be waiting a long time
I read something a while back that stuck with me
Add 10 times the value and expect nothing in return
What would happen is I’d add value then expect something to come from it
And it’s the expectation that gets me emotional
Now my goal is just to add more value than anyone else and attract the right people into my life and business
Here’s to the 20-year plan and taking action on it every day
The question is what kind of legend do we want to be?
The one where we tell a crazy story for a week and it fades..
Or the one where we create a legacy to live on for generations to come
I can’t wait to get to work and visit new partners this weekend
What productive activity are you doing this weekend?
During my last stay in Cleveland I was wrapping up my apartment up there
It’s truly an end of an era for myself because I was born and raised there
When I first started reflecting I was looking at different stages of my life
First I was looking at WHAT I was doing
But then I asked myself a better question…
WHO was I at my different stages
When I look to grow my business I’m asking myself the question WHO do I need to become to hit the next growth
So when I looked in my rear view mirror at WHO I was everything started falling into place
For me I now look at WHO I need to become instead of WHAT I need to do
Mornings like this remind me why I do what I do
I get to work 12-15 hour days
I get to stay up late working on ideas
I get to travel and meet new people
I’m living my life by strategy and enjoying a sunrise here in Florida well…. For me this is a great way to start the day
We just have to choose to see it
Life is a culmination of the choices we make
And for me, the most important choice to make is the mindset we decide to have
You can put me in ANY situation… I am going to CHOOSE to make the most of it and have fun doing it
I used to let the smallest things affect my entire mood and day
Whether it’s someone cutting me off in traffic, or a comment someone makes
Now I choose to see the beauty in every aspect of life
And that makes every moment of my life worth living
Let’s all choose to find some beauty today #WinTheDay
Day 1 of Atlanta is in the books and I’ve had a blast
I’ve been able to meet up with Michelle Witmer Humes and Steven Humes and present for their team
Their hospitality was off the charts and got to meet some great new people
I then got go to eat with my cousin and enjoy my evening
This life I’ve created for myself is something I can thank so many great partners for showing me the way
But none of it happens without action and extreme focus
Let’s all continue to strive for a life we don’t need a vacation from #WinTheDay
Freedom to me is doing what I want to when I want to
It can be a nice day in the park, meeting a cousin out to eat in the middle of the day
It can my freedom trips I plan every 60 days
Today it’s enjoying time with real estate agents here in Atlanta
Freedom is defined differently for everyone but I encourage you to experience it every day
Today… this is what freedom looks like for me
I was walking around taking in everything Cleveland and being a tourist in my own town
It’s amazing how many things I took for granted when I wasn’t here
I’m finding so much more beauty in Cleveland since I’m now in it every day
I challenge you to be a tourist in your own city for a day
21 years ago my grandma had myself and my siblings create a time capsule
We put our most precious items in this container to open some time in the future
Today is the day....
Let’s find out what 5 year old me was thinking
Now I go to sleep with answers and excitement
First of many freedom trips
Who we grow with matters
First time I busted my teeth
Second time I got a concussion
Third time I was hanging on for dear life to this girl I was dating
And here we are... I called out my buddy Joel Hollo to do a relay race for charity
To me this is the epitome of my lfie right now
Jump out of the plane and build our own on the way down
We constantly keep ourselves uncomfortable and growth mode
Today I’m back on the ice
That’s what I used to tell myself
But that’s because I felt trapped in a certain lifestyle
I was playing inside an imaginary rule book that didn’t even exist
I thought I had to get a 9-5
I thought I had to hate my job and just suck it up everyday
I thought I had to live in the same city and go to the same places
Then I learned that those were limiting beliefs I placed on myself
I learned that we can make our own rules and do whatever the hell we want
Once I realized I’m in complete control of everything in my life I started shaping it exactly how I want to live it
Take control and screw anyone who tries to put limits and rules on life
If I ask 10 people that everyone will say “of course extraordinary”
My question is... why does everyone try so hard to be ordinary?
To fit it with everyone else
Worry about being cool and not standing out
The moment I started focusing on doing whatever brings me joy to my life did I start living my extraordinary life
I’ve always been a very emotional person
My actions were driven by my emotions and I’m very passionate about everything I do
But growing up through school, sports, etc I was always getting told to suppress my emotions
That I “need to bring it down a notch”
So for a while I thought something was wrong with me and I’d try to suppress emotions
Let me tell you... that does not work
What I learned is the difference between controlling emotions and suppressing
Now I’m able to control my passion and release it at the right times in the right way
BE PRESENT
My Aunt Michele Knotek Drlik and her friend Laurie Barnes Zucco came down for two days
We went out to eat, walked around the park and so much more
Did I have calls I had to be on, yes
My buddy Richard Iwuagwu came down to visit the following two days
Again some calls to be on
But this is why I do what I do
I work to live... no live to work
But while they’re down here I made it my goal to be on my phone only as needed and be present #WinTheDay
I get asked about my Honey Badger tattoo and why I got it and it makes me think
Not to get into details but the main reason I took action on it was I was bet that I wouldn’t get it... thanks Albie Stasek
But the real reason I didn’t hesitate to get this Honey Badger over my heart was because of what it means
We have a group of like-minded individuals who all come together under Honey Badger Nation
What it means to be a Honey Badger is you’re fearless, action taker and really don’t give a f*** what people think
And that culture fits me like a glove
So my question to you is... are you so inspired by your culture that you’d get it permanently inked on your body?
In order to be taken seriously, we must first take ourselves seriously first
At one point I was 21 years old managing our workers 50+year-olds and clients years older than myself
When I first got into the role I was questioning whether or not people would listen and how I can earn their trust
Here’s what I did...
I worked longer hours than anyone, studied more than anyone, stopped going out and partying, and started going out to events
I made damn sure I was sharp and doing everything in my power to become an absolute expert in my field
My confidence didn’t come from my natural skill it came when I trained and continual mastery of my field
About 4 years ago I met two guys and my life would never be the same
Jay Kinder and Michael Reese came to Cleveland and put on an event with Albie Stasek
After the event we all went out to eat and after they were all heading back to Al’s
I asked to come with them with the intention to “have a good time”
What I didn’t realize was I was going to be introduced to living a life by strategy
All these guys are were performing at high levels while living a life I couldn’t even fathom
And what I realized was that I was winging life and forcing a good time
Since that night I’ve dedicated myself to building a good lifetime and creating decision making filters for everything I do
Just 6 years ago I had no strategy and my life was going no where... FAST
I was taking random jobs, had no goals or direction
Fast forward to now my brother and I are deciding what part of the country to get our next place in (which is most likely by a ski resort)
This past week has been one of the most enlightening weeks of my life
I’ve been able to put down all distractions and meditate on all aspects of my life and become clear
There may be certain parts of the journey that are unknown but my goals and how I will get there are certain and inevitable
Because I choose to live my life by strategy
But today I get to celebrate my favorite human... Carolyn Knotek Krempasky
I may be biased... but I truly believe I have the best mom
My friends would want to sleep over just to get my moms legendary breakfast
Anytime I’d get into crazy scenarios I could always go to my mom
When I decided to go after my first sales job instead of a stable career... she supported me
Throughout the growth of our company... even though she works CRAZY hours a lot of times she’s still asked how she can help
I can go on forever... but thank you mom and even though I’m in another state you still make me feel at home
Happy Mother’s Day
Here’s what was happening...
I’d let my confidence come from external validation
The way I played sports, the way I looked, my “rep”
And what happened was confidence was like a roller coaster.. it’d go up and down based on what was happening in my life
Here’s how it changed and put me in the driver seat
I get confidence from sticking to my core values
I get confidence from doing what I say I’m going to do
I get confidence from spending more time with family and friends
My confidence is now internal and the human being I want to become... business and success is just an added bonus
I thought freedom occurred financially
I thought it occurred when I reached a certain level of success
My first true freedom came when I realized I didn’t have to do everything alone
I can reach out to my partners when I have a problem
I can reach out to mentors to figure out the next step
My first true freedom was clarity
I looked myself in the mirror and asked myself “what’s one thing holding me back from hitting my goals”
Now something I’ve learned is being supercritical and REAL when I look myself in the mirror
And the answer was simple....
Drinking was holding me back from hitting the next level of my life
These last 5 months I’ve been waking up earlier, more clarity and focus than ever before
My workflow does not break its routine anymore and it keeps me in RHYTHM
When I make decisions I always look for a model to follow... someone that is doing something at a high level that I can relate to
And recently I was actually able to thank him privately... now I’d like to thank him publicly
Thank you Jon Cheplak for showing the path for success for my next chapter
And I’ll let you what... it’s been the sanest decision now that I look back on it
I’m 31 floors up in Tampa Bay at my 23 year old cousins apartment Ryan Loede
I love coming here because whether it’s a day later or month we grow each time
We push each other to take more action and stay COMMITTED to the work
We all have an image of our life that we want... but are we committed to doing what’s necessary to get there
Here’s how I used to attack my days
I’d try and solve this huge problem
I’d identified something I think would be cool for agents to do or a shiny object for people
That all changed when I attended a mastermind in Key West
Then I startled doing this...
Following the leader the leader the leader following the leader
A couple of weekends ago I went back to Cleveland and had a SOLID boys night
One of my good buddies asked how I wake up every day so happy and full of energy because he doesn’t
And I paused because it was a good question
But the truth of it is... I don’t
I have tough mornings, tough nights, but I believe I have a decision every day
I can choose to let the morning affect my entire day
Or I can look for ways to motivate myself, I can tell myself in the mirror how great of a day I’m having
Or, just like this past weekend, I can reach out to my boys when I’m having a rough time to pick me up
For me, I found my strength when I decided to reach out for help and allow myself to get picked up when I need it
This is a question that creeps into my mind every now and then
I see the world and things I want to change but how much power do I really have
But then I remember a quote
“If not me then who”
Am I going to sit back and wait or go out there and do my part
It sucks because I’m speaking at an event in Milwaukee and they rented out a place, marketed etc
And I’m supposed to be spending time with my family for Easter... haven’t been back in 3 months
Woke up with plenty of time and had my Uber scheduled... great start
Then I wait outside for my Uber..
10 minutes late
20 minutes late
At this point the Uber app says “thanks for your ride rate us”
Apparently someone hopped in my Uber and needed a ride to the airport.. thanks buddy
Now I try to order an Uber it there’s none nearby
So I drive myself and finally find parking but have to take the trolly... that took another 30 minutes
And now TSA has a line backed up with about a 45 minute to one hour wait and my plane closes the doors in 20 minutes
No chance.. so I decide to ask the person if I could go in front since my plane is about to takeoff
They hesitated but let me go and I continued to ask my way
It got to the point where people relayed the message through the line and the airline wouldn’t let me cut to the front but each and every person did
So much negativity out there today but let me tell you about everyday people... they won the day for me
And it really got me thinking...
I don’t go out as much as I used to
I don’t go to parties like I used to
All I do is work and hang out with people who work like I do
And then yesterday I got to hang out with some great people and we just so happened to talk about this topic
Here was my takeaway
I REFUSE to have “fun” at the expense of my success
We are rolling out Relaunch Live Virtual Access so YOU can be a part of the action
We have speakers flying in from all over the country to lay it all on the line for you
I took a hard look in my review mirror and was amazed at what I found...
I’ve gotten into my workout and running routine many times but it was missing this one thing
This past weekend I spoke at an event that also allowed me to hear others speak as well
My biggest takeaway was looking in the rearview mirror at myself and seeing where my wins came from and doing them more
But what this also allows me to do is also see the reason I came up short on my goals
Now when I sit down and come up with my workout rhythm I don’t create a plan based on what SHOULD work
I’ve created a plan that’s already worked and identified the areas I needed to make the proper adjustments
Here’s my one thing... I refuse to negotiate with myself and come up with reasons why I deserve a day off
I refuse to negotiate the commitment I’ve made with myself
#WinTheDay
We’ve heard it a million times but who we surround ourself with matters
Want a literal example?
Here we are hanging out with a bunch of real estate agents
I was invited by my peers to come mastermind and hang out
Who invited his guy here? The people I surround myself with
In honor of women history month I want to shoutout some women who are making history as we speak and absolutely crushing it! These women I look to as inspiration and leaders and want to share them with you
I challenge you to shoot a video shouting out 5 women who are crushing it as well!
I can't make this list without saying how much my mom and grandma led the way for me... both very strong and passionate women in their own way.
First I want to shoutout Michelle Witmer Humes. She has done AMAZING things as a leader and building her team. Also, from the beginning video may not have been her favorite but she would do it and now is one of the best I know
Next I want to do one outside of real estate, Brooklyn Mckenzie is one of my best friends sister growing up and doing a great job as a leader of the community. She is a police officer downtown Cleveland and get this... she through a birthday party for someone in her zone and really brought the community together during some trying times. Keep crushing it
Christina Dalton... it's not my story to tell but she has an amazing one and continues to lead the way. Also we got her on her first live Facebook video and she crushed that too
Kelly McCarthy is easily one of my favorite people to work with. She does what she says she's going to do AND always makes working with her fun.
Eloisa Licha Morales is just as advertised online. I've seen her crushing it in video and just had the pleasure of meeting her here in Orlando. Again great story to her and is always working to better herself whether it's in the ring or in business
There are many more to shoutout but the challenge is to shoutout 5! Y'all inspire me everyday and I know you inspire many more around you!
I was out to eat last night with some amazing people and got to learn more about them
I went to a meeting this morning and heard from more people about he selects and their journey
When I surround myself with the right people and we are open about sharing experiences amazing things happen
Meeting people with all backgrounds and stories.. my favorite thing about life
These last couple of years I’ve overcome a lot...
But the one thing I’m most happy about is that I’m able to spend time to myself
I used to be so scared of this... so scared of my thoughts and my reality
I’d surround myself with people at all times because I wasn’t mentally strong enough to be alone
But through constant improvement, I’m able to be alone and perfectly fine
Whether it was relationships, friends etc
I could blame it on a lot of things but that’s not my style anymore
It came down to having a lack of commitment to myself
I wasn’t clear on what I wanted out of life, and I would constantly go back on commitments I’d make for myself
When I’d do that all other commitments would follow
It wasn’t until I committed to myself did everything else follow suit
But everyday I get up and run all over their turf
Just this morning this big one was chasing me down the sidewalk
I’m not a fan of any bird.. I think it’s because they can fly and I can’t
I can choose to let my fear control me or I can live my life... but it’s my choice
(Yea apparently these pigeons get me too as you see on this video )
This applies to all aspects of life
WHERE THERE’S PEOPLE THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PROBLEMS
We need to be part of the solution!
We all need to be actively either donating our time or money to the solutions in life
Here’s an exercise I did to get back into my hood habits
I close my eyes and think of task I know I need to do to better my life
I then think of the life I would have 5-10 years from now and all the good I would be able to do for my loved ones because I did it everyday
Then... I think of having to apologize to my family and loved ones for not being able to help because let’s say I didn’t make my disks everyday
I think of telling my future kids “Hey I’d love to send you to that school you really want to go to but you know I was too afraid to make dials so you can’t do that”
I got my ass back on the phones
I got lucky that I put in countless hours of work
I got lucky I made decisions to stay in and work on weekends instead of going out
I got lucky I decided to start my own business
I got lucky I paid to go to masterminds and continue my self growth
Luck is exactly what you make it
For many years I was just going with the flow of life
It’s great because I got to experience a lot in life
But man I ended up in some rooms and with some people, I never should have
When I started working with Matt Milia and Albie Stasek they introduced me to core values and especially 100/0
100% accountability 0% excuses
From there I was able to reflect on my life and no longer play the victim role and assume all responsibility
It freed my mind and allowed me to focus on moving forward and live my life 100/0
Great first two months in Florida right?
It’s amazing how bad habits can snowball and I find myself here
And it’s funny because the worst shape I get in the more I’m embarrassed to go for runs and get my tan on
I was running around the lake today and it hit me...
The only way to get tan and in shape is to start where I’m at.. pale and out of shape
It was about 10 years ago and I was picking up my great friend Anthony
We were talking about his new job and he’s alwayssss been in sales
And in that car ride he told me “you should be in sales... you’re a natural you’d be great at it”
At the time I brushed it off... but fast forward about 5 years
I dropped out of college, couldn’t hold a job was bouncing around and had no idea what I wanted
And something clicked in me and I remembered that conversation...
I’ve never been in sales before but thought I’d give it a chance
It’s amazing but if it hadn’t been for that conversation sales would NEVER have came across my mind
Now I get to enjoy the night at my rooftop pool because of that conversation
They all told me it was wrong to copy off someone else and to do your own work
And that’s what I did for my first 3 years in business
Then one of my mentors said something that changed my life...
“The best copycat wins”
What I realized is I don’t make more money for figuring things out myself
If anything I lose time, energy and money trying to do that
What I do now is simple... if I want to take on a new project or build a product I find someone who’s already done it and copy that
My man Sekou Pyle made a STATEMENT during one of his calls...
He challenged us to live this week without doubt
Meaning take action and do things in life without having doubt in your abilities
Man I want to take that to the next level... I want to live LIFE without doubt
If I have no doubt in myself.... who’s stopping me?
I visited my man Ruben Garcia down here in Florida while they were having a mastermind to shoot a podcast
And let me tell you... this house was INSANE
Let’s just say it had a private Harry Potter room and mother theater in this place
As in setting up the podcast we have everything we need... or so I thought
I forgot one tiny cord that is needed for the audio
Well... nothing I can do now but I can tell you I will be double checking my cords in the future
Today I went from a gated community mansion mastermind, to a penthouse suite then wrapping it up here in Tampa Bay
Today is why I do what I do...
I got to be around people at the top of their game and we feed off each other’s energy
This is only the beginning of what my next steps are in life and boy I’m loving it
A goal of mine recently has been to be spending more me time and doing things that make my soul happy
I realized I was servicing my goals my goals weren’t seevcising me and I had to make a change
My buddies messaged me and we’re only an hour away and had a place right on the beach
So I packed my stuff and here I am
It was my 7th grade year and we were staying late for practice so we all had to call our parents
I didn’t have a cell phone so I had to borrow Coach Quayle’s phone to call
I talked to my mom and she understood and I hung up the phone
I had no idea what happened but coach was suddenly mad at me
What happened was I hung up the phone with my mom without saying “I love you mom”
He explained to me that every time we hang up the phone or leave our parents or loved ones we say I love you as a constant reminder and you never know what can happen
Ever since then I NEVER hang up the phone without saying I love you
Growing up I always had the be right
I would focus on winning arguments instead of figuring out what was actually right
This competitive spirit worked well for me in a lot of ways but it stunted my personal growth
I felt like I had all the answers and stopped looking for answers
What I wish I learned earlier in life is the value of personal growth
This last week was very tough for me
When I came to Orlando my mindset was strictly business and I was 110% prepared for it
This last week hit me hard when I realized one thing
My business mindset traveled with me to Orlando but I forgot to pack my spiritual and personal mindset
I caught myself in a funk and it hit me like a brick wall and needed to recenter myself
Man I just got off the phone with Sam Livingston and I am fired up
I haven’t talked to him in MONTHS but the second we get on the phone it’s nothing but positivity
We’re sharing wins, what each other are doing and most importantly how we can continue to help each other grow
Who constantly pushes you to be the best version of yourself
A big topic in a call last night was taking accountability
We are solely responsible for our life and the outcome of it
For me I live my life by this core value, 100% accountability 0% excuses
Be productive
I think about this like going to the gym
Just because I’m in the gym for 2 hours doesn’t mean I got a good lift in
Let’s attack our day and focus on what actions move us closer to our goals #WinTheDay
To an office in the middle of winter....
Yeah I’m living my best life
I’ve heard the song 100s of times and it’s usually associated with “partying” and “hitting the club” or one week of vacation in a great place
But I’ve been changing my mindset to think “what would my perfect day look like?”
If I had to live the same day over and over again what would it look like?
Since I’ve made that change I’ve been working towards my perfect day ever since
And today... well it’s pretty damn close
Cleveland boy in me is loving this
Practice what we preach
I’m about to be with Todd Schroth and other amazing agents talking about video
How could I go in there without shooting a video first?
To me, life can move fast and I’m moving fast with it
But some of my favorite time is getting to lay back and take it all in
I think I can get caught in the race of life and the days can get clumped into one
These times where I can lay back and soak in the beauty of life I cherish greatly
If you assume you make an ass out of u and me...
My freshman teacher Mrs Zinc first said this to me
She was one of my favorite teachers because she was a straight shooter, we had fun but also knew when to put me in my place
I still think about this quote when I want to react to a situation...
Now I always make sure I hear both sides, get all the facts and then make a decision #WinTheDay
A week ago I got asked to speak for a top team here in Orlando
It’s always great brings around growth minded people
So I’m new to town and it was my first time getting a haircut down here
I scoped out a place or two and decided on this place
I’ve been getting my haircut by the same person for the last few years so I don’t really know what to tell the person when they ask
I thought I told him one thing... I probably didn’t explain it right but I did NOT end up with what I wanted
The thing is I’m the only one who knows what it wasn’t right... to everyone else it looks fine
There are so many little things about myself that I pick on that no one else in a million years would see
Sometimes I need to just stop giving a damn and just be happy
I had a whole live ready to go and it started raining
Now I already wanted to go live here so I wasn’t backing down...
But with the rain coming I wanted to change my message
Whoever can adapt the fastest wins
Want to hear some legendary shit?
I’m on my way to have a pasta dinner with my Grandma
After that, I’m going to head back knock out some more work and call it a night
Have another poolside meeting tomorrow to take an agent's branding to the next level
I use to think legends were made at the bar with crazy stories... but they die and make way for new stories or nights that are a blur and forgotten
I am in complete control of my legacy for myself and spending time with my family and becoming the go-to personal branding company for real estate agents is what I chose
The weekend can be a curse or your greatest asset.. choose wisely
Trick question.. in order to be considered a priority it has to be regarded as more important than everything else
Here’s what would happen to me... I’d have 5-10 “priorities”
The ball would be dropped in some places and my overall goal wasn’t moving how I wanted it to
Until I made the conscious decision to make one target my priority
So I ask you again.. what is your priority going into 2021
I envisioned this exact moment 2 years ago
I just got done shooting some next level shit for some people I’m proud to call mentors, friends and colleagues Veronica Figueroa, Gil Ramos and Carlos German
I can go on and on about this group but I want to highlight my man Gil for a minute
Two years ago he decided to speak at the NAEA Mastermind in Key West
I came into this event with a blank slate open mind ready to learn about business and growth strategies...
I did not expect for my whole way of life to get turned upside down
The passion in which his message was delivered with rocked my world...
I was able to crush limiting beliefs that I didn’t even know existed and the glass ceiling I thought was the sky (my limit) absolutely shattered
I came there just being happy to be in the room... and I left KNOWING I am going to be at this table and will earn my right to be for the rest of my life
From that moment on I’ve been able to grow 1 business into all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Canada and another one into 35 states now
AND because of my newfound ability to take on the world we decided to start and grow Agents Against Child Trafficking in which we are saving peoples lives and giving them hope again
Who knows maybe that glass ceiling would have been shattered somewhere down the line...
OR maybe I would have lived in it the rest of my life
But thanks to Gil I was able to start my journey to becoming the absolute best version of myself with no limits
To this day I still have neerves and a little fear before getting on lives
There will be nights when I overthink things, I worry about what people say about me, I sit awake questioning the things I do
It can be a heavy burden to question every step I make and live in the past
What I realize is that I have to get out of my own way
If I make my decisions out of fear I will count myself out and lose the battle before it even starts
The worst that can happen is someone saying no or a video not being well received
Just because I’m always live doesn’t mean I’m not afraid of it.. I just do it anyways
Today I woke up in my new place in Orlando with a packed schedule ahead
I start the day coming holding a video training session with a huge team down in Orlando
Then I hop on a plane to head to the NAEA Bootcamp in Columbus to have discuss some new opportunities and speak day 2
Then I’m flying back and spending my Saturday filming and masterminding with three top influencers in the industry
Sometimes I think how did my life end up this way..
And it all began with a simple yet difficult decision... betting on myself
This would mean I would treat everyone the way I want to be treated so everyone gets the same treatment
So by this logic my mom would get the same treatment as my dad and my brother and sister etc...
Let me ask you this.. do you treat your coworkers the same way you do your best friend?
No... we have to make an adjustment to this
Treat others the way THEY want to be treated
There are two things that make this happen... emotion and ego
I was on a call today with a buddy of mine and we were discussing some topics
I was able to have an answer and advice to give so easily
And it made me think... why was that so easy for me but hard to do to myself?
The answer was simple... my advice was basically telling him to bite the bullet.. which is hard because your emotions and ego are telling you the opposite
When we can remove ego and emotion from the equation chances are the answer is simple
I’m challenging myself to remove the ego and emotion from my decisions in 2021
Here’s my decision making filter for 2021
If it doesn’t make me happy.. I’m not doing it
If it doesn’t get me closer to my goals... I’m not doing it
Here’s what I know.. I can’t help anyone until I help myself first
If I’m not happy and not reaching my goals everyone around me is going to suffer
My mental health and physical health have to come first if I’m going to be able to help the people around me
I challenge everyone to make 2021 OUR year
What I’ve been told was to settle for a 9-5 job
I need to stop talking so much
Don’t be so loud
Don’t let my emotions out so much
All people were trying to do was rip the horn off the unicorn and make me like everyone else
I truly believe we all have our own unique super powers that make us special
A unicorn is a unique creature but if you take the horn away it’s just a horse
Don’t let anyone rip your horn off
It was many years ago my dad got us an adjustable hoop for Christmas and we set it up right here
My brother and I shoveled the drive day just so we could play basketball on it
We were out there for hours which meant we had to keep shoveling because it was snowing
That winter and for manyyy more years to come we would shovel the drive way, the ice and slush just so we could play basketball
If you want something bad enough you’ll always find a way to get there
Merry Christmas everyone
Not too long ago I wasn’t living a healthy lifestyle
I was pushing things down, eating terrible and just ignoring my emotions (my human side)
The whole time I thought I was operating at 100%...
But until I faced some things and opened up to someone was I able to dominate my mindset and unlock the next level for myself and my business
Lets make sure we spend time and invest in the human side as much as we invest in our business
I want to flip the script because none of us got out of this year without the help of others
I want to show gratitude to all those who made this year great with me .. shoutout to Danny Galvez for reminding me gratitude is important
If I tagged you in this video I challenge you to create a gratitude video for those who helped you through 2020
Rebecca Soto and Josue Soto poured their hearts out in a book we helped publish and created a masterpiece in Married In Real Estate
Veronica Figueroa and Tony Figueroa opening their home to me while I visited Orlando on multiple occasions as we continue to build and grow together
Sekou Pyle for his conversations between us and also his continue leadership through his consistency
Albie Stasek and Jay Kinder... what can I say these men have paved the road for me and continues to be great mentors in all aspects of life.. appreciate you brothas
Chris Wendt for always leading with a strong why and giving back to the community and involving me in his vision
Courtney DeMarco Stobbe for our friendship and bringing me into the great world that is the Women’s Council of Realtors
John Kitchens and Hollie Kitchens for being rockstars and always looking for ways to give back and help others
Everyone involved in the Live With Leaders Summit.. we had over 10,000 agents tune in and it couldn’t have happened without the collaboration from such a great group
All my clients that trust us with their brands and get out of their comfort zone and CRUSH their videos!
Of course Carolyn Knotek Krempasky and Larry Krempasky. y’all believed in me and always supported me through my hardships
Hear me out... my goal has been to live a life I don’t need a vacation from
I didn’t take any “vacations” that didn’t help move me closer to my goals
The whole point of a vacation is to disconnect and get away from things
But if I’m living my best life everyday why would I need to do that?
Everyday is a vacation because I love what I do and worked my ass off to work poolside
My first coaching call where I was the coach I was 22 years old
The gentleman who hopped on the Zoom happened to bald
I was so nervous he’d see how young I was I didn’t turn on the camera and said it didn’t work
Here’s what I learned over time which made my age irrelevant
Know you’re product and service inside and out
Do what you say you’re going to do
Work harder and stay longer than anyone in the office
This past week I went to IKEA to turn my living room into a full-blown podcast studio
The shopping wasn’t the hard part.. it was waiting in line for 15 minutes
It was the 30-minute checkout because the human error
It was coming back and spending all day putting it together
Before I knew it the whole day was gone
I realized I had to cut out the “IKEA Time” out of my business
These tasks are not the highest and best use of my time
If I want to get to the next level I have to cut out the IKEA Time out of my day
This is the questions we have to ask ourselves..
See I was a hater without even realizing it
Isn’t that how it works? Everyone thinks everyone else is the hater.. but for their to be haters out there someone has to be one
My issue was my ego and “reputation” were getting in my way of being a creator
Here’s the equation to find out if you’re a hater...
From the time I wake up to when we go to sleep are people we were around happier or not?
I believe there’s enough homes, agents, money etc out there for everyone
This is why I help agents from all companies and give away my “secrets”
One of my mentors once told me “there’s no such thing as an original idea”
Think about it... someone somewhere is doing something or doing a similar strategy to you
I’m here on earth to help as many people as I can... are you?
If you don’t have a content strategy for next year it’s on you!
Real estate agents my calendar is open for you..
I want to see everyone succeed and take over their market
I want to see everyone on video and crushing it virtually
If you don’t have a plan in place and make a commitment nothing will change
Reach out to me here or go to my calendar in the comments
I’m going to host a mastermind poolside as my apartment in downtown Orlando this Saturday
This will only be open to 10 agents, first come first serve
You’ll be paired into groups of two and we will discuss how to become the go to agent in 2021
We will go over custom plans to create video, content, branding and even shoot some video while you’re here
First step is commenting “I’m committed” below and we’ll reach out
We will have you in a 1 hour block as follows
Group 1: 12-1
Group 2: 1-2
Group 3: 2-3
Group 4: 3-4
Group 5: 4-5
Oh yeah.. and there’s absolutely no cost but your commitment
A few weeks ago I made a commitment to bring myself and my business down to Orlando
Today I am presenting at Veronica Figueroa last team meeting of the year meeting
Interested people look for excuses why they can’t accomplish something
Committed people always find a way
STOP giving yourself that excuse...
It’s not about what time you wake up it’s about what time you go to sleep
I’d be closing down the party, staying up late on random nights and slow to wake up
And then I did this CRAZY idea... I started going to sleep earlier and wouldn’t you know it I could wake up earlier!
I know waking up and getting my day started is important for my success
So I got my ass out of bed at 5 AM to start my day.. and I also set up a call at 630 AM #WinTheDay
I want to share this because I believe this is something that took me awhile to learn
Someone would say something about me and I thought I would have to protect my masculinity and retaliate
I’d play a song I like (most likely some Taylor Swift) and some guys would laugh and take away my “man card” and I’d turn it off
I can list off more examples but what I was really “protecting” was my ego
Now I’m BLASTING some T Swizzle down the highway, downtown and in some meetings because I was able to make that clear distinction
Live the life you want to live.. we don’t need anyone’s approval #WinTheDay
If it looks like I’m posting a lot about where I’m living and working it’s probably because I am
And FYI I’m not stopping anytime soon
Here’s the thing... I was a 23 year old flat broke selling my car to start my business living out of my parent home and living off noodles and monster energy drinks not too long ago
Now I’m able to work from the pool in my second apartment down in Orlando and enjoy the sunshine
None of this happens without the hard work and commitment to myself for the past 3 years
So yeah... be ready for more poolside content
My business partner and I got in a disagreement the other day..
Now you have to understand my business partner is also my brother so there’s a whole lot of dynamics at play here
Growing up it would be the blame game.. we’d blame each other for the problem and go back and forth getting louder and louder
You see when you’re play the blame game ego’s involved and NO ONE wins
With the claim game we both wanted to claim ownership for the problem and we were going back and forth explaining how it was falling on ourselves
We both won because the problem got solved lightning fast and we moved on with our way
Play the claim game
Yesterday I was able to enjoy my new place and go deep sea fishing with my dad and uncle
There’s nothing I’d trade for days like this where you make magical moments with the family
Everyday I’m thinking of more ways we can grow our business while creating a life I never need a vacation from
Yesterday was one of those days forsure #WinTheDay
The hard part with this is people will constantly tell you you’re crazy
People will tell you to act normal be normal
You have to BE DIFFERENT
And that goes against the norms...
To go places most people don’t you have to be willing to do things most people won’t
P.S. my unreasonable fear of geese exposed on this live
Now I’ve played this game many times after a night out and it isn’t as fun
But this morning was a little different
Go jogging without a map, listen to music for 30 minutes, and try to make it back
I’ve found some new places to eat and check out but still working on finding my apartment #WinTheDay
This is not goodbye forever just the foreseeable future
I’ve had some time to reflect on my time spent here
From helping charities and fundraisers raise money for the city, to getting an apartment downtown, hitting the clubs, the restaurants, having family to celebrate holidays and the lights downtown, running the whole city in a day the list goes on
I can look back and say I’ve accomplished all I’ve set out to here
There’s always more I can do... but I can confidently say I’ve left nothing on the table as fr as my commitment level has been
At the end of the day I can say I did all I can do and put my beat foot forward
So long for now and new adventure awaits!
Sike.. it was our goal to move downtown and be by the Christmas lights this year
I decided to come down and walk through it and it gave me some time to reflect
Wanted to share this with you and also the lights are pretty cool too
Do you have what it takes to be told no 20 times a day or told your content is "lame"?
There is a skill that comes with being on the phone and creating content...
But having the proper mindset is absolutely crucial
If you can't handle being told "no" or that someone doesn't like your content... you can't reap the rewards of selling more homes with it!
To build the brand and repeatable business that comes with content and calling means tapping into a new version of yourself and getting uncomfortable
This is the time of year to take off... take a break no other agent is calling during these times
This is the time of the year agents stop creating content...
No one is getting ready for 2021... so why should you?
SIKE... NOW is the time to set yourself up for success for next year
These are the months that will decide how you want to start your 2021
Inviting the family down to come enjoy the Christmas lights and walk right to our new place
It feels great to host and be in a position to create magical moments with the family
Here’s to a great holiday season
WE MADE IT
Just got to our new place in Orlando and well....
The view ain’t bad!!
I’ve always wanted a rooftop pool
This happened to me twice this past month...
The first was when I was sitting in a ball room in a great hotel downtown Orlando, getting served dinner, around a bunch of real estate leaders and having a Grammy award winning opera singer sing to us
The next was when I was sitting on stage again in Orlando for the book launch of a book we published with another amazing room of individuals
It makes me think of all the nights I was able to sacrifice to get here
All the times people would say “just go out and have fun”
Or “you’re only going once go out more”
Not everyone sees the vision or even thinks you can get there...
But that’s perfectly fine, hold onto the passion and visions even if no one else sees it because it’s a great feeling to see it come together
Married In Real Estate gives the his side and her side of the roller coaster life that is real estate
Let me tell you what.. this couple is NEXT BIG THING in real estate!
Check out Rebecca Soto and Josue Soto on their journey with #marriedinrealestate
When I get told “go out and have fun” it can sometimes bother me
Having fun is different for everyone.. I lived a life of going out all the time and that’s the most miserable I’ve been
We all get to define our lives and what makes us happy.. we cannot let outside forces and the media define it for us #WinTheDay
I made a post yesterday essentially saying no matter who’s elected the majority of problems are still your fault
I got mixed responses from people loving it and hating it
Here’s the thing.. I live by a code and that’s 100/0
I assume 100% accountability and 0% excuses for anything that happens in my life
The great part about a “problem” in my life being my fault.. is I have the power to make things right #WinTheDay
I’ve been anxious to make this post because of how much my life has changed in just two years
It all started at a mastermind in Key West when I was challenged to think differently
I was sitting in a room with so many successful people, masterminding with them, partying with them and the atmosphere was just different
On the plane ride back I told myself from that moment on I was going to live my life to the fullest and dare to live the life I WANTED
So when I got back:
I quit my job, sold damn near everything to my name including my car, started forming my own company, stopped going out all the time and “hanging out”, locked myself in my room with one mission in mind
What I decided to do was fully commit to myself and the life I aspired to create for myself
Fast forward two years:
The company I started in my room is now in all 50 states, Canada and Puerto Rico
I’m working with TOP agents all over the country
I just launched our new KREM branding, services and continue to innovate with top agents
I’ve spoke in offices all over Cleveland, Phoenix, Dallas, Orlando and all over the country
My company just published a book and I’m flying down to Orlando to MC the book signing with the amazing authors we’re partnered with
Helped start and create a nonprofit that saves children and helps provide housing and schooling for them
Life is an amazing journey and once I decided to take control and COMMIT to creating my ideal life did I realize I had the power in me the whole time
Who you grow and surround yourself with matters.. here’s to the amazing people who I’ve met along my journey and to the people I will continue to meet along the way #WinTheDay
But we need to think “who” we need to reach out to and ask for help
For me I would not be where I’m at if I didn’t have the support and leadership I’ve been given
I wouldn’t be in Orlando now launching the book we’ve published without it
What it takes is changing the mentality that asking for help is a sign of weakness...
In reality it shows strength and leadership to do that
Who you grow with matters it will decide your ability to succeed in life and business
I’m here taking a stroll around Cleveland tonight and I see beauty all around me
From the buildings, to public square, to the fountain etc
I hear all the time negative things about Cleveland and how much we DON’T have
I like to look at the things we DO have
Beauty and happiness is in the eye of the beholder.. I choose to look for the beauty
Just this week I had my buddy reach out and say because of our brief convo he’s starting up his running again
Now (to keep my accountable too) we are messaging each other for a week the runs we’re going on
The videos I shoot sometimes get a lot of likes, views and comments and sometimes they don’t
I use to let that effect me and constantly check my phone and wait for the notification
To me the value of sharing my story and the lessons I’m constantly learning is the possibility of someone out there feeling like they aren’t the only one dealing with these problems
Last night I had the pleasure of hopping on a coaching session with Sekou Pyle and seeing him in action
Let me tell you... he was speaking about the listing appointment (something I do not and will most likely never do) and I still couldn't turn him off
However, after listening to the strategies I felt like I was about to hit the phones again tomorrow and knock out 10 listings!

If you played any type of competitive sport or actively with me before you know I hate losing
It doesn’t matter if it was mini golf with my mom we are battling to beat each other the whole way (side note my mom may be even more competitive than me)
This week I challenged myself to go live everyday this week
Today it kept getting pushed back later and later and more people kept hopping in my calendar which also takes out more energy
If you shoot any form or video especially live you know the amount of energy it can take to do it
As I’m doing my daily meeting I keep seeing this quote behind me... “We always win to refuse to lose”
So here I am.. knocking out my fourth day
To me what makes leaders is doing the job even when you don’t feel like it!
My person was Henry Meinberg
He was cornerback I was receiver and we guarded each other in basketball too
See with me I don’t like losing any matchup whether it’s just practice or not and he was the same way
We’d get after each other in every drill EVERY SINGLE DAY and constantly piss each other off when we bested the other one
This made us both better and the team around us better.. we never took a play off in practice and that competitiveness transfers to everyone around you
Get your Henry in life, you want people around you that make you want to be better every day
Arguments are very productive and healthy if both parties enter it with this mindset
“I want to agree with you but convince me”
Yesterday my business partner and I got into a disagreement about something
Here’s where it can go south.. when i’m emotionally invested and take the argument personally I just want to BE right and not focus on WHAT is right
When we were able to extract the emotion we got to the core reasoning or the disagreement and were able to come to common ground
I see this happening all the time recently of social media and other places.. people want to BE right and not focus on WHAT is right especially with all this huge division in politics
The mindset we all need to get is “I want to agree with you but convince me”
This was my diet for months when I was building my business from scratch
I was in every seat, from order filling, to video editing, to event planning and everything you can think of
At first it was a necessity for me to be everything.. but there was a stretch where I could have hired out
What I couldn’t do was “let go of the vine” and let someone else do the work
My pride got in the way believing “no one can do it like me”
And I was right... but there are people who can do a task BETTER than me
We have over 10 people currently on staff and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon and I’m
able to do more of what I like and delegate the rest
Don’t let pride get in the way of growth!
But do you ever think of what happens if you don’t do what your supposed to?
I think it’s healthy to know where you don’t want to be in life just as much as where you do want to be
My biggest fear was giving up on something I loved and had a passion for...
This already happened to me once with college football... and it was the worst feeling and experience I went through
It took my years to admit I gave up and didn’t give it my all and I NEVER am going to feel that again
This is why I put so much energy and effort into what I do now... I found something I’m passionate about and am never going to let my effort level get in my way
We are always told to make vision boards and goals which I agree with.. but I also remind myself of the feeling if I ever feel like giving up
A question we get all the time... "how much time should I spend on social media"
This is the question most agents ask themselves... and we're here to answer it for you
The answer is about HOW you spend your time on social media
It can either be a distraction... social media
Or your highest and best use of your time... your social CRM
To learn how to turn your social media to your social CRM go to www.sekoukrem.com
At this point I’ve worked with many top people in the industry and they all have something in common...
It seems we always make the jump and build the plane on the way down
Here’s what most people don’t see.. the sleepless night before the event where we’re putting everything together
The night before we’ll sit down and create the PowerPoint for the presentation
My first event my partner Michael K Lawrence and I didn’t sleep or even know if we’d have a TV yo put our PowerPoint on
About 20 minutes before did I decide to throw on my hotspot and connect the TV to my computer to make it work
Chasing perfection and waiting for everything to fall in line can be a killer to taking action
Chances are the “perfect storm” never comes and you end up at square one
Go take action today and MAKE it happen
For me today it is coming down to Edgewater Park and enjoying a drumstick in the middle of my work day
It’s so easy with social media and all the distractions to try and compare yourself to others
You come on here and people are traveling, getting new houses and cars
Don’t let that determine what makes you happy and what success looks like
I used to let it get to me and end up going out and trying to keep an “image”
But now I block that out and am perfectly happy with my ice cream today
Do what makes you happy.. period
It all started with the participation trophies that were given just for showing up
My brother shared with me a story about my first participation trophy I received under the pavilion in York Fields
He said I never looked so confused because our team was terrible and just received a trophy
Here’s how I’ve seen it translate to the workplace.. now people want to be rewarded just for showing up and doing their job
If you show up on time... great you’re expected to
If you do your job... great you’re expected to
If you’re loyal to your job... great you’re expected to
Want to be rewarded and get a raise, promotion etc.. go above and beyond
Sekou Pyle and I are engaging in The Great Debate
We are going to debate questions that have not had an answer for decades...
Neither side has been able to gain any ground as people seem to be stuck in their ways... but we are coming to you with an answer
When growing your business do you focus on content or calling?
The answer is simple... unite both sides and use content AND calling to grow your business
Learn how to do that at www.sekoukrem.com
Here’s what was happening, I would go out all the time and constantly surround myself with people
I would tell myself it was because I was an extrovert so that’s just what we do..
But in reality I was giving myself an excuse to not take accountability of my life
When I got introduced to 100/0 way of life everything changed
100/0 means 100 percent accountability 0 excuses
Once I realized I was in complete control of my life and everything that happened to me before that was also because of my control and actions everything changed
Now I love my time to myself and can say I’m loving where life is taking me!
Take control and live life 100/0

Are you interested or committed to your success in life?
If I ask you this question I will get "I am committed" 9/10 times... but are you really?
My mindset on this matter changed when I listened to Gil Ramos speak in Key West two years ago and my life wouldn't be the same since
When I got back from Key West, I quit my 9-5 job, sold my car moved back home and devoted 100% or my time and money into building myself
I spent 4 months locked in my room working 15-20 hour days learning and building my first business
When I say committed it means nothing else matters besides becoming the best version of yourself..
I stopped going out, stopped "chilling" and fully committed to the process
I bring this us because I was in Orlando this past weekend and it was about the 2 year anniversary since I made this commitment
This past weekend was just a glimpse of what's to come... I was surrounded by other committed individuals traveling from all over the country and outside the country for one common purpose... to better ourselves
So I ask you again... are you interested or committed?
This is a critical question we all have to ask ourselves.. and I got a first row seat to this last weekend
I decided to go out last weekend and was able to have a conversation with one of my friends about growing and taking the next steps in business and life
While we were discussing this someone kept giving him and excuse for not being the best version of himself
Whether it was
“you don’t need that job”
“You either have it or you don’t”
“You don’t have to have goals.. they just lead to expectations and let down”
Who you surround yourself with can be absolutely toxic to your mindset
Or they can hold you accountable and raise your awareness on how to become the best version of yourself
I ran into my ego yesterday during a meeting
I took some constructive criticism personally and I felt my whole energy completely shift
It took me about a minute to recognize WHY I felt the way I did and quickly adjust my mindset on the issue
The thing is my ego was something I dealt with for a large portion of my life without even realizing it
I would always have a comment, got heated easily, and would affect my decision making
In business and life there’s no room for ego..
It can result in lack of vision, no growth, missed opportunities and the list goes on
If you truly want to grow into the best version of yourself check your ego at the door
Stop bouncing around different lead sources and start converting the ones that are in your pipeline

This was a short read but the point hits home.. the sooner you stop caring what other people think the happier you’ll be
I did something different with my hair for the first time in 10 years and I got messages like you wouldn’t believe
“What the hell is that?”
“Yeah... go back to what it was”
The list goes on...
At the end of the day people are going to have a comment on anything you do, might as well do what you want
It comes down to putting your foot down and saying “I know what’s best for me” and blocking out everything else
This is the best advice I’ve been given to this date
I used to work at a pharmacy my cousin owned and I didn’t know it as the time but he would take me out to eat after work and mentor me and give me advice that stuck with me
This one piece of advice is something I continue to do to this day as we build our virtual media empire
I’d walk around downtown shooting videos looking around knowing one day I’d get a place smack in the middle of downtown.. now we do
I’d shoot videos EVERY DAY and have friends and others laugh and say “that’ll never work” or “why would anyone listen to you” and now we’re hosting events that have 10s of thousands of realtors on them
Stop listening to the noise and make the bet on yourself
They probably say something like “I don’t look for drama it just always finds me”
Here’s the thing, it’s not drama if you don’t pay attention to it and feed into it
I feel like drama is a drug.. people get a taste for it and feel like they can be the center of attention and fall in love with it
Here’s how to spot it out:
When people talk about others not in the room
Constantly talking about celebrities as if they are best friends with them
When they say “did you hear about...”
When you start focusing on yourself and realizing what’s important all that “drama” becomes noise you cancel out
What happens is people use selfish as a negative term
I use to think me going out of my way to always be there for people was the unselfish thing to do
I would pride myself on dropping things that were important to me to be there
Now I’m not saying that’s a terrible thing.. but it hurt my success and ability to reach my full potential
Here the mind shift that happened... if I don’t reach my full potential and put myself in a position to help hundreds if not thousands of people THAT is selfish
You can’t help anyone until you help yourself first.. like when the plane goes down you put your mask on first because if you pass out you can’t help anyone
Sometimes it can be tough but being essentially selfish is your right, duty and obligation
Not sure who said it first but the lesson from John Kitchens has come up several times these last couple days
Quite simple really if you aren’t willing to ask for what you desire there’s an extremely high probability you won’t get them
Why didn’t you get the raise? Probably didn’t ask for it
Why didn’t you go on the date with the girl? Probably didn’t ask her out
Why are you stuck on the same problem? Probably didn’t ask for help
A lot of what we’re seeing go wrong with the business world and elsewhere stems from a complete lack of accountability
Here’s an example.. someone’s kid isn’t playing in the game because they aren’t as good as the others.. so the parent complains to the coach instead of working with the kid to get better
Lesson learned is that you don’t have to work harder you have to complain to get what you want
The list can go on and on with this but accountability is a learned core value that we must instill in kids when they’re young
Want to start seeing some change? Hold yourself and/or your kids accountable to their actions and stop blaming external factors
