Such a wet day! Not much of a view with the mizzle sheeting down, but not every day can be glorious. Rewarding to conquer a difficult stretch of the Dales Way. Enjoy our difficulty... and donate if you can. Thank you.

Guest appearances from two experienced Dales Way walkers we met in the pub - their insights and encouragement were invaluable. Please donate to our two charities of choice if you can.

We are walking the Dales Way in memory of Jose Smallwood, JDMS's mother and JJS's Nanny, who we lost at 94 in February.

Here, JJS reads her eulogy, first delivered at Jose's funeral at the Methodist chapel in Spondon, Derby just a few months ago.

We are fundraising for the Dogs Trust in Jose's memory. The link is on the Twitter page - please be generous if you can. Thanks.
