Sour Mash is the podcast for you: where An ordinary fella from Northern Ireland with an inordinate interest in whisky/whiskey and a propensity for exaggeration, along with his guest bull*ters, provide the commentary for you to wax lyrical about childhood anecdotes, entertaining taste tests of various alcoholic beverages and other spirited musings.
Its been a while but we are back! This week I review a couple of whiskies: Jura Rum cask and Dalmore 12. I talk about how casks can impact taste and other crazy ramblings all made much more crap by my stuffy hayfever nose.
This week its the ballad of Nathan's New Year covid shenanigans and his testing shambles. We review 2 whiskies, Port Charlotte 10yo and Whyte & Mackay 13yo.
This week I am joined by my old pal James. We discuss distilling in outer space, we learn a bit about my character and we sample some lovely Benromach 10yo and a Verdant Brewery DIPA.
Finally we are back and we have some special drinks to be had. We discuss distillery tours of the Lakes Distillery and Teeling Distillery plus tastings of Balveinie Doublewood 17 and Tiny Rebel's Imperial Honey Glazed Ham Marshmallow Porter.
Me and My Best mate Adam get together for a laugh and a drink which instantly turns into talking sh!t and all off this the night before his wedding! We drink a Method and Madness Bourbon Barrel finished single grain and discuss weddings, moon landings and lizard people.
It's been a while but here we are! its just me and i've got a couple of lovely bottles with me. Bushmills Caribbean Finish and some Poitin. Its a belter!
This week I am joined by Daniel, an old friend from school and we chat BBQ's, whisk(e)y and all things shenanigans that happened at school. We sample a wee Jamesons crested and Connemara single malt.
This week it is just me but I am joined by a lovely bottle of Method and Madness gin and a bottle of Gelstons Irish Single Malt. I also discuss the London mayoral election and my vote Count Binface and answer your questions.
This week I am joined by the one and only, Micky Bartlett. He's a professional comedian, one half of the Deckchair and Yumz podcast and a professional drinker so he was keen to get tasting. This week we sample a Hyke Gin and a Bowsaw Small Batch Bourbon, we chat all things stand up and exchange stories from our numerous nights out.

Merry Christmas everyone! This week you have as my guest, me, due to lovely tier 4 restrictions and it being Christmas and all that. I ramble on about Christmas traditions, going to the pub on Christmas day and distilling my own gin. The tasting for the week is a lovely bottle of Camus cognac and a incredibly interesting bottle of Pickerings Brussel Sprout flavoured gin.
This week we are joined by Jack, a pizza loving new dad who works for Beavertown Brewery. We chat all things pizza, death row meals, what its like working for Beavertown and how Jack has been getting on with the lack of sleep being a new dad.
We have a mexican theme for our drinks this week as we review Tequila Rose and Trafficante Mezcal.
This week our guest is a music teacher, Cambridge music masters and Craft beer lover. We reminisce on our school days, hear his experience of teaching during lockdown and review the worst songs on spotify. Our tasting tests are the delightful Fishers Gin and Bowmore 12yo.
