It’s a juggle between parenting, businesses, marriage and I am ALWAYS looking for strategies to get where I want to be FASTER. Had a huge call today with a mentor worth $500 Million and it dawned on me how important these 3 tips are to save time and money to accelerate growth in life as a parent and visionary. Let’s face it, if you gain the world in revenue and lose your kids & family in the process you will probably have regrets so use these 3 hacks!
Starting out as two young entrepreneurs we were hungry, hustling to every business conference and motivated to bring our dreams to life. Fast forward 16 years later with 3 kids and 5 businesses life is BUSY and it’s often easy to let the relationship that started it all slide. BUT we said in 2024 we were going to recalibrate and embarked on these 3 tips!
Man oh man it has been a WEEK here at I Help Moms headquarters! My 6 year old has play auditions, the oldest has a giant math test, the middle wants to learn guitar, we have a huge marketing conference, grandmas birthday AND I messed up on a coding and programming investment which I am beating myself up about. So I am exploring ways to avoid mom overwhelm, focus on my mental well being in parenting and embrace a growth mindset as a mompreneur. Let me know how you shift your mindset from the blame game to self compassion.
I had an amazing coaching session with Coach Bonnie, mom of 10 that really helped me set a parenting intention so ALL OF OUR family can be nurtured. Find out what she told me!
Motherhood is a journey mentally, physically and emotionally. One thing I have found is that maintaining friendships, being a working mom of multiple business, being a mindful mom and serving others regulary is not always easy, but it brings true joy. On today's Happy in the Hustle Show I discuss 3 examples that were not easy but that brought so much joy I was able to prioritize them as core values in my life which has helped me to evolve into the mother, person, wife and philanthropist I want to be.
Our first born daughter had her 11th birthday today and it was a perfect time to reflect with my husband about parenting (more so surviving postpartum depression) then transitioning to thriving and taking a deep dive into facing fears and the mindset of creating a legacy and most of all intentionally choosing to grow together! It's really simple to have a focused day.
It just takes discipline.
Check out this podcast for my #1 tip!
Do these moms know something I don't know?
Why yes...yes they did!
Coaching, Mental Well Being Support, A Village is the biggest differentiating factor I have seen in moms that are peaceful and seem to understand that juggling it all does not need to be solely on our shoulders. Motherhood is a BIG job combined with running businesses and homes and when we have a team to do life with...it truly becomes Happy In The Hustle.
There was a time when I first began business that I saw other mom leaders as competition. I always want to be honest.
But it was a lonely, tiring, fraught filled existence.
When I grew up, when I matured, when I realized how competition was cutting my enjoyment in life short I embraced collaboration.
The #1 shift to my mindset was recognizing I AM THE UNIQUE part of my business. Nobody will ever have my brain and therefore I don't need to worry. I began to open my world up to other women business leaders, other entrepreneurs to grow to expand and rise with AND LIFE GOT REALLY FUN!
Collaboration is a huge key to living Happy In The Hustle!
Ughhhh! Trying to be who other people want us to be is EXHAUSTING.
Take control of life and discover what brings you energy. What lights you up? What makes your soul absolutely smile?
Life is Energy. When we become comfortable with our own energy and how to stay rejuvenated we can begin to attract the energy we need to live the life we love. It's a powerful, unstoppable, limitless way to live. Cheers to Happy In The Hustle Life!
Be love and watch love circulate in your life.
So many people struggle with a lack of self worth and tend to lash out at those around them because hurt people, hurt people.
If we can take a moment to really think about nurturing our minds and bodies to intentionally love ourselves more- it can unlock a beautiful way of life.
Ways I like to nurture myself: I take time to gratitude journey absolutely everyday with a good cup of coffee. I make sure to workout everyday to get my endorphins flowing and produce a positive body image. I work to be truly present with people as spending time with friends and family fills my souls with joy.
How do you like to nurture yourself?
Networking can be such a downtrodden word in the world of business. I have found after opening multiple businesses that transitioning the mindset from what's in it for me at this event to being curious and open to learning about other people can make it much easier to approach networking. Can it be awkward at the coffee bar wondering who to sit by that will be most beneficial or thinking about the litany of all the other things you could be doing instead of networking? Of course.
I recommend shifting to a mindset of possibility and envisioning who you want in your network.
It turns it into an exciting opportunity instead of a dreaded event. I also know the more confident I have become as a business owner, I no longer feel that poverty mentality of 'having' to get business at a networking event but instead looking at it as an opportunity to serve with community members.
You just never know that one person you could meet that could introduce you to exactly who you dreamed of meeting to uplevel the amount of positive impact you can make. Cheers to living Happy In The Hustle! Michelle
Becoming a mom after climbing the corporate ladder for 10 years was a shock for me.
How can taking a shower become my barometer of a successful day after a decade of working to break million dollar revenue goals?
What was this new body that seemed to not be recognizable to me?
My brain was living this exhausting duality of work and making sure the needs of a newborn were being met.
Everyone talked about a village, but my village was 3,000 miles away.
So I set off on a journey to rediscover who I am. On today's episode I discuss some of my top resources, podcasts and coaches such as Coach Marcy, Coach Jenn and Coach Valerie on ihelpmoms.com who help me to grow through what I go through.
My third child was lagging behind after the pandemic. As a parent and entrepreneur, juggling our purpose, parenting, partners and what sets our soul on fire, I often wonder how do other parents do it all?
What is the secret to being resilient through the good, hard, tiring, joyful?
How do we do our first job as parents, go on to our second job as entrepreneur and go on to driving, cooking, cleaning, bed times and cuddles?
What do we do to keep pushing forward as visionaries often living in a world that others often haven't caught up to yet?
I was listening to Ed Mylett and he gave an amazing analogy that has stayed with me.
Take a listen and let me know your thoughts on persevering as parents and entrepreneurs!

As a leader are we able to have an off day? NO! It's no wonder stoicism is so enticing. I took some time to reflect how I could be more resilient as a leader. 3 keys I think help provide stability, as we are humans after all: 1. Discipline of habits- meditation/prayer, journaling, gratitude, fitness, yoga. 2. When life is busiest I slow down. Create more margin in your life to avoid overwhelm. 3. Get a coach at www.ihelpmoms.com. I use Coach Sasha, Coach Valerie, Coach LeAnne, Coach Jenn. They all help me to lean into my strengths and give me great tips to persevere with grace and grit.
My husband and I embarked on another business project together this week diversifying the industries we are in. We were laughing tonight I said "this is so much more FUN now than the first time we did this when we were working multiple jobs, stressed to the max and worried if we would survive". As you gain trust with little, the universe will bless you with more. We bought the used car, used house items, ate the frozen dinners. 3 Keys to growing capacity: Grow your MIND with @edmylett @garyvee @tonyrobbins. There is ALWAYS a lesson to learn. Often times our greatest hardships develop our greatest skills. On this episode I discuss how I went from grinding it out in a career in professional sports to using those skills to create the entrepreneurial life of my dreams. Take every opportunity as the chance to grow and learn as it will skyrocket you in your business and life journey. "We can't become what we need to be by remaining what we are" Oprah

Many times in relationship counseling we heard date 1x per week, go away for a night 1x per quarter and go away for a week 1x per year. I think this ALSO can apply to start up life! We took a 24 hour get away to Nashville and it was so rejuvenating. Turned off work, laughed until my sides hurt, soaked up the Sun and got off my computer! It’s vital to recharge as an entrepreneur starting out:) I recommend 1x a quarter plan a 24 hour mind rest and ENJOY LIFE for a happier, rejuvenating journey making a big impact in the world! Wellllll I sounded the alarms on a tech issue that it turns out was user error not our platform error. I feel such responsibility for all the moving parts of this tech startup so when a coach said the platform had charged incorrectly I felt awful and called in the team on high alert for the fix. Turns out…user error. Not a tech error. So I grew up as a leader learning to get ALL the information BEFORE pointing a finger! I take responsibility and move on to a new day. Cheers to the REAL entrepreneur journey in the trenches. XO Michelle I Help Moms Founder

You have employees, friends, investors telling you “just” make this change or asking when the “next” upgrade will come out and it’s tempting to ride the roller coaster hopping all over the place to make those unsolicited suggestions happen. Here are 3 ways to side step that roller coaster- 1. Remember 1 foot in front of the other and focus on the GOOD 2. Stay disciplined and on strategy 3. Know and listen to the TRUSTED voices in your circle not people who have not invested in your idea. You are brilliant, hard working and the visionary. Trust yourself. Don’t ever settle!!!! That is the #1 thing I have learned along this entrepreneurship and female founder journey! Here are 3 keys to find the right consultant fit that have worked for me: 1. Before hiring look at the other clients they work with and see if you REALLY like the work - you are spending your hard earned money so you want to spend it in things you REALLY like 2. Gauge if your personalities will mesh. Like really mesh. I hired before with pushy personalities and it imploded in my face. This time around I knew EXACTLY that I want kind, growth mindset, collaborative team members and it’s been so much more FUN! My barometer: will I actually LIKE getting an email or phone call from this person??? 3. Trust. Your. Gut. As a Founder or Business Leader your unique brilliance has gotten you to where you are- trust your instincts when looking to hire teams or contractors. Cheers to never settling! It is Sunday afternoon, sun is shining and my husband is with 4 kiddos splashing in the pool while I am sitting at my desk cranking away. Sunday rest day right…..not for this entrepreneur getting ready to launch I Help Moms! Here are 3 things for entrepreneurs to consider when that guilt creeps in… 1. What do you REALLY WANT? 2. Is the work urgent and important? 3. See the light and be totally present when you are able to be with your family. Honestly I made the mistake of doing a work item last weekend that was not urgent and it hurt my marriage. So I learned. Won’t make that mistake this week. Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep getting better in all ways! You got this! Cheers to collaborating and supporting one another- Michelle I Help Moms Founder
Today we talk with I Help Moms Health and Mindset Coach Marcy about why asking for help is ACTUALLY one of the most empowering things we can do!! Think of giving and receiving help as energy in the world. It allows us to bond with friends when we show our vulnerabilities, it allows us to clear up mental space when we accept help, it enables us to breath. In the moms that I have seen that are happiest, confident, calmer and authentically on the journey of fulfillment I recognize there is a correlation that they have accepted help in their life. It’s a powerful thing to say YES to:) Cheers to Making Motherhood Easier, Healthier and Happier! Michelle I Help Moms CEO
Over the last 3 years I have put countless hours, meetings, thought, energy, ALOT OF MONEY into launching I Help Moms.
Last week our first call successfully went through on demand on our parenting support platform and NOTHING!
No trumpets. No champagne. No Confetti. Literally nothing like what I thought it would feel like.
I was euphoric for like 5 seconds. Then I was like oh crap....I have SO. MUCH. WORK to do to get this platform out to masses of parents!
But in that moment I realized something that many entrepreneurs talk about: The Joy Is In The Journey!
That moment was the reason I started this LOVE LEARN LEAD Podcast. I realized founders look back and recount their journey but I actually wanted to podcast about it while I am in the trenches everyday, bootstrapped and working my tail off around the clock.
So for my fellow loving leaders out there- cheers to creating a journey that excites us, a journey that helps us to grow, a journey that leads us to amazing communities that inspire us.
Cheers to you!
XO- Michelle
I Help Moms Founder
I made a mistake when I started my entrepreneurship journey of just hiring to fill a 'position'.
Although it got the job done....I still felt unfulfilled in the process.
I realized over my years in business that TRULY my greatest joy is in the journey!
As I embarked to launch the parenting tech company I Help Moms I was very intentional about who I wanted to work with.
About who I would enjoy talking to everyday. About who I could brainstorm with. About who would bring positive energy.
I have been extremely intentional about building out team: Is this someone that I want to grow, learn and go on the start up journey with? And do they have the GRIT and GRACE to last through creating a start up?
YES I make sure their strengths fit the companies needs, but I value their alignment with I Help Moms mission to Make Motherhood Easier, Healthier and Happier just as much. So I dedicate this episode to the I Help Moms dream team. Thank you for being on this start up journey with me!
XO, Michelle

As I get ready to launch I Help Moms brand new parenting support platform, I am working day and night.
I will tell you the truth with 3 little ones to care for, love, help with homework, go to golf, tennis, tutoring and all the mom life things...the mom guilt started to set in.
So I had to do a deep self reflection to figure out solutions.
I simply communicated to them the biggness of what I am creating to make the world a better place. I involved them in the podcasts, the interviews, had them sit in my office and hang.
I set clear parameters to be OFF TECHNOLOGY and totally present with the girls from dinner to bed time.
These little things cleared my heart and head to know that I am doing my best and to know the quality time and being present although may be shorter than I would like is what matters.
Would love to hear your tips and strategies to overcoming mom guilt!
Cheers- Michelle I Help Moms Founder
There are days running after 3 little kids, running multiple businesses, being the family cook, cleaner, driver, wife that I LITERALLY fall into bed.
Thats the TRUTH!
I often watch Shark Tank admiring how the Sharks own so many businesses and run them so efficiently. Inspires me constantly to figure out how they do it!
Owning a thriving business takes grit, vision, sweat and managerial intelligence.
The bottom line that I have found as a small business owner is I have dedicated myself to getting better as person, leader and visionary.
Number two tip- I have embraced technology and apps to help streamline administrative duties and busy work. I definitely had to let go of the mentality 'I can do it all' or more so 'I have to do it all'.
And finally my constant go to is my schedule. I am a schedule ninja. It is one of the greatest secrets to running multiple businesses.
Would LOVE to hear your tips and strategies!
Thanks for tuning in and follow www.instagram.com/ihelpmoms so we can stay in touch!

Along my journey as a mom of 3 I have had some pretty awful mom friend experiences and some awesome ones! I have had friends I had to say bye bye to and some that I go the extra mile to call, see, support. What’s the barometer of where we spend our energy finding meaningful mom friendships?? ❤️When we are intentional about developing empathy we can then show up as our authentic self ✅Think about the other persons perspective ✅Active listening develops empathy by validating what the other person is feeling and we don’t put them down. ✅Come in with the intention to listen not to respond right away. ✅A delayed response can be a wise strategy instead of responding right away. ✅Set aside assumptions- assumptions always create chaos. ✅Have conversations when your mind is clear. ✅Expectations can be a barrier for empathy to develop. 🙌The number one question to ask ourselves: Have I validated all of the emotions involved and have I fully understood the other persons perspective. Ask questions to clarify so you can truly understand. Ask the question how can I help you? How can I help you move forward?🙏🏽

Hope is not an emotion: It’s a cognitive process – a thought process made up of what researcher C.R. Snyder called the trilogy of “Goals, pathways, and agency.” Hope happens when we can set goals, have the tenacity and perseverance to pursue those goals, and believe in our own abilities to act. Snyder also points out that “hope is learned.” Today family therapist @joyacaso provides moms with tips for finding hope in #CoronaVirus and maintaining it
Even in times of hardship there is GOOD to be found. Good habits could look like meditation, prayer, gratitude journals, reframing and if you have questions reach out to our ihelpmoms family therapist @joyacaso!

Think. Plan. Do. Now is the best time to unify our teams and really indenting what each persons zone of genius is. So many businesses try to push employees to be the jack of all trades, but that is ineffective management. Help your team identify their top 2-3 areas they are gifted in & create accountability so everyone has clarity for optimal unity moving forward for your small business success. Take these steps to come out of Corona Virus with your team ready to change the world!
We can see the light at the end of this Corona Virus Tunnel. Now is the absolute best time to ask ourselves what do I want now?
It’s easy in times of stress to get caught up in our own stuff, our own bubble. The most magical moments come however when we choose to serve others. There are simple things during this Corona Virus we can do. We can have food delivered to an elderly neighbor or grandparent, we can support local restaurants, we can have our kids write a letter or card, we can donate to United Way or Salvation Army. The gesture of spreading love is one of the most important things we can do right now.
Today we talk about choosing to be the best we can be even in times of struggle. To rise, to grow, to take action to move forward. Be the present parent you have always wanted to be, to be the compassionate friend and family member, to focus on your blessings with the one you love, to get all of those “things” done you always wanted to. Yes We Can Moms. Corona Virus will not take us down for we are focused on positivity, hope and the opportunity to grow.
Our first message of encouragement for you today is that it's ok to relax. We may be in a pandemic but you can protect your inner calm. Simplify your days by prioritizing your top 3 things.
We talk with Lactation Consultant and Founder of Holistic Lactation on what the evidence shows regarding breastfeeding with Corona Virus, if you should delay weaning and how to get breast feeding support during this pandemic. *Make sure to talk with your health care provider as this is not intended as medical advice.
Let’s face it right now life has absolutely piled on moms. Many of us are working, homeschooling, cleaning, cooking, figuring out ways to pay our employees through this pandemic, being empathetic to our partners, friends and families. It’s a lot! Stress is a part of life, so finding healthy ways to manage it is one of the best things we can do. We encourage you today to pick 1 to have in your back pocket: Meditate, play, walk, drink water, workout, step away, look for the silver lining. You are not alone and if you feel open to additional coaching on stress management reach out to our family therapist at hello@joyacaso.com.
It can be so challenging to remain positive when your associates, partner, spouse, or children are feeling stressed or grumpy or negative. Here are ihelpmoms.com four tips to stay uplifted and still be empathetic: 1. Be there for them but your main role is to be a good listener. 2. Help them externalize their feelings and thoughts by verbalizing or have them write those down. 3. Work on your own mindset, notice when you're leaning towards negative thoughts. 4. Avoid wanting to be in fix-it-mode because feelings don't need to be "fixed" as much they need to be validated.
During this Corona Virus one of the most important things we can do is surround ourselves with positive people! Positivity (1) rewires the brain because every emotion changes the neurochemistry of the brain. The opposite is also true. Negativity rewires the brain. (2) Positivity boosts your immune system (3) Positivity lowers stress levels which means focus, concentration and problem solving skills also increase. (4) Positivity increases our awareness and conciousness.
As working moms inside & out of the house, homeschooling during corona virus it is vital to carve out time for your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health! Yes We Can get through this and come out better the other side!
We are taking this Corona Virus Time to reset, reboot and rejuvenate. It is a good time to take a breath in the journey of life. It takes the same amount of energy to stress as it does to be thankful. Yes these times can be scary, they can feel overwhelming but one thing is for sure there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for in the mix of things. 1. We get time to BE with our kids enjoying actually seeing, hearing and witnessing their learning. We get to teach and talk about things that interest our family not just a core curriculum. 2. We get to do what our family wants when we want to do it without outside schedules dictating it. 3. We get a break from rushing. 4. We are safe. 5. We have food. 6. If you have been able to keep working what a blessing! The human spirit was built upon the ability to overcome. With gratitude we can refocus our brains from stress to training it upon what we are thankful for giving not only ourselves the ability to reset and rejuvenate but setting a great example for our kids of how to manage high stress times.
On today’s episode Family Therapist Joy Acaso discusses why meditation is good for the mind and body for many reasons. One it is a way to strengthen the connection between our left and right brain. It is also a way to release stress and toxins from our body. Finally when we are in a relaxed state we can access the feel good waves of our brain known as the alpha waves. These waves are good for memory, intellect, and cognition. 2. We don't have to be a yoga expert to be able to meditate. It is simply a relaxation of the body and a way to let go of thoughts without judgment. 3. Yesterday Michelle talked about setting your intentions for the day. You can incorporate that during your meditation. An easy deep breathing exercise is 5-5-5. As you become in tuned with your breath you can visualize how you want to feel that day. There's no limit to how long you want to do this. Your mind, body and spirit become synchronized. 4. Author Emily Fletcher says "we don't meditate to become good meditators. We meditate to become good at life." It's not about the details of how you do it or how long. But really giving yourself a chance to be self-compassionate at that moment. Not judging your thoughts and emotions. Looking for more peace during this Corona Virus? Email Joy at hello@joyacaso.com
