In this episode, I will be discussing the significance of operating your life in silence. Our world today places a high value on publicizing almost every detail about one’s personal day to day life. Sometimes, these details are either still ‘in the making’ or haven’t already come to pass but what we will be talking about in this episode, is the importance of keeping certain aspects of our lives discreet and moving in silence.

In this episode, I talk about a personal decision I made that greatly impacted my life thus far; that decision is to become a christian. I discuss the experiences and situations that led me to the life changing transformation that I encountered once I received salvation. I have never been one to shy away from topics that gear to my faith and my relationship with Jesus Christ. However, I have always felt skeptical about opening up about my feelings of inadequacy, anxiousness and extreme sadness in fear of negative reactions. Nonetheless, I combated these feelings with the idea that someone else may be going through this challenge in their life and I want them to understand that I have experienced these same emotions and because of my relationship with God, I overcame. Enjoy this episode.

In this episode, I will be discussing the topic of Mental Health. Being a Nursing Student and working at a hospital has definitely taught me a lot and given me a first hand experience with people that deal with mental illness, as well as an increasing compassion for people that suffer from Mental Illnesses. There’s a lot of things that I will be discussing in this episode including the misconception that mental illness is not a real illness, -unlike physical illnesses- which is highly inaccurate. This podcast is filled with a lot of information that will definitely give listeners a different perspective or a new perspective on mental illness and helping people that deal with mental illness.

In this episode,  I will be discussing some major issues concerning the continent of Africa. Controversial headlines are inevitable these days; It has almost become the norm for our news outlets. Sometimes, we ignore certain things because of how aware we are of their normal conduct (in this case, hyping up the negative stereotype of Africa),but when there is a consistent pursuit to make something, someone and some place look despicable on every occasion, there must be a moral assessment that has to been done. Not to be misunderstood with informing someone about events that keep reoccurring, but having a healthy balance in the information that is being shared.

Africa has been on the receiving end of negative international portrayal. In the ‘Beauty in Being an African’ episode, some positive aspects and contributions to the African culture was shared but not to the fullest capacity. Although, striving to put out a positive outlook on Africa was the goal, in this episode, we are going to the depths of some issues that are the sources of corrupt headlines of Africa.

Some of the most innovative ideas that some people have had only came to them in the midst of quietness. Truth be told, we live in a noisy society but when we make the conscious decision to be quiet when necessary, things start to change in our lives. Let's discuss!
