The “Power” of Jesus Christ
"But in what does this “power” of Jesus Christ the King consist? It is not the power of the kings or the great people of this world; it is the divine power to give eternal life, to liberate from evil, to defeat the dominion of death. It is the power of Love that can draw good from evil, that can melt a hardened heart, bring peace amid the harshest conflict and kindle hope in the thickest darkness. Initially, men are made new by the rebirth of baptism. Yet there still is required a daily renewal to repair the shortcomings of our mortal nature, and whatever degree of progress has been made there is no one who should not be more advanced. All must therefore strive to ensure that on the day of redemption no one may be found in the sins of his former life.
Dear friends, what the Christian should be doing at all times should be done now with greater care and devotion, so that the Lenten fast enjoined by the apostles may be fulfilled, not simply by abstinence from food but above all by the renunciation of sin.

here’s a question.
what if we centered our lives (our decisions, our dreams, our lifestyles) around a simple thought: does this bring glory to God?
if it does, run after it.
if it doesn’t, then maybe you should reconsider if it’s worth your time at all.
We “exist for the praise of His glory” (St. Paul), and so our lives should be centered around that.
Our conversations: for His glory
Our work: for His glory
Our friendships: for His glory
Our passions: for His glory
Our social media: for His glory
Everything: for His glory
Look through your life. The things that bring Him glory, do more of.
The things that don’t? Cut them out. It might hurt at first, but they are keeping you from the point of your existence, and therefore from the fullness of life that you were made for.
Jesus is worth everything you’re afraid of losing.
Let your life be about His glory, and He’ll let His glory rest on your life.
