A creative at heart, Nicole has spent the last 20 years as a dancer, choreographer, dance instructor, and studio manager learning the importance of hard work and perseverance. After returning home from world tours as a back-up dancer, the Lord began to slowly soften her heart for Him and opened the door into ministry.

In 2017, Nicole founded a local nonprofit women’s ministry called Twelve 12 Ministries. Inspired by Romans 12:12, the organization helps women and families through tough seasons of infertility and loss. Nicole uses her unique and well-rounded experiences to serve others in a meaningful way. She has a passion for creating and encouraging women (and a few men) to find hope and fulfill their purpose.

Recently Nicole formed Called and Encouraged, a digital marketing agency supporting small businesses, nonprofits, and ministries to expand their reach and impact online.

Nicole lives in Plano, TX with her husband Darren and daughter Delanie. The Clarks love spending quality time together laughing and watching action movies together.

In this episode, we sit down with Mrs. Alicia - a corporate manager, church leader, and wife, as she shares her experience with reproductive technologies, secondary fertility challenges, and how she balances the scientific expertise of doctors with God's sovereignty.

Soon after marriage, Alicia and her husband decided to start building their family. After approximately 3 years of trying to conceive naturally, they sought professional guidance and received fertility care and support through a trusted friend and physician. This invaluable support allowed Alicia to conceive and give birth to their beautiful baby boy, who is now 4 years old. 

Alicia and her husband have since decided on baby #2, but the circumstances of their care have changed with their previous physician retiring. With a new physician recommending IVF, Alicia is less than sure given the increasing uncertainties of COVID-19. Despite not knowing the exact steps to baby #2, as a passionate follower of Christ, Alicia continues to believe that God can do it again!

Marrying her high school sweetheart in her early 20’s, Conchetta and her husband began the journey of building their family as they built their marriage and careers. Despite having youth on their side, they faced pregnancy delay. Determined to get to the root cause, Conchetta promptly sought medical advice. During her first appointment to check her fertility viability, she was confirmed pregnant!

Conchetta went on to birth beautiful twin girls. Since then, she has journeyed through late term pregnancy loss, being an egg donor, and birthing a rainbow baby. Conchetta cautions women on prolonging what they’re able to fix. Fertility challenges have a root cause, even if not yet discovered by physicians. Blossom's motherhood journey began at the young age of 17 years old during the pregnancy and birth of her first baby boy. Since then, she and her husband have welcomed 8 more children into the world, and have traversed the struggles and joys of having a large family. Her journey through motherhood, pregnancies and birthing has not always been pragmatic or perfect, but that's what has made it all worth it. 

In this episode, Blossom shares how her faith has helped her to view motherhood as a gift grown by sacrifice (Galatians 2:20). By the grace of God, in the last 18 years she has been able to navigate being an entrepreneur, having an active ministry and prayer life, homeschooling her children, and becoming a wife to her husband, Fred. In this episode, we talk with Mrs. Alicia, a corporate executive who shares her path to overcoming  fertility challenges. She explains why she and her husband stopped pursuing IVF as a family building option and how her faith helped to redefine her life and motherhood.

A corporate executive, Alicia, had no desire for a husband or children. Then, in her mid-30’s she fell in love with an amazing man and got married. Her husband came with two bonus children from a previous marriage. In awe of her husband’s fathering, Alicia developed a deep desire to birth children of her own. Upon embarking on the journey to have biological children, they were met with delay.

After a few years of not getting pregnant naturally, they sought an expert opinion. Following the necessary assessments, she was referred for IVF and eagerly started the process. Shortly after starting the IVF process, Alicia became increasingly overwhelmed and ultimately made the decision to discontinue the process. Tune in to Episode 2 to hear how Alicia found resolve with her choice to not have biological children and how her faith has helped her redefine motherhood.
