There has been no player that has been the kind of omnipresent leader, player and all around bulldog that Kyle Lowry has been for the Toronto Raptors since joining the Toronto Raptors in the 2012-13 season. Much like Toronto itself has dealt with its shares of ups and down, so has Kyle Lowry but here at the end of his journey we take a look back. His presence was synonymous with the growth of the Toronto Raptors, both as a franchise and as a respected basketball city amongst the NBA at large.
The chips may have been down at many instances throughout but in 2019 when he, alongside the Toronto Raptors for the first time in franchise history, took home the chip, there was a completion to that journey. With this offseason seeing him depart the Toronto Raptors after 9 amazing years, the journey as a Raptor may be taking a detour for now but it is not, nor will it ever be, over.
In this series of looking back at the man who is unquestionably the GROAT (Greatest Raptor of all Time) The Swing will go through his journey and highlight just all of the little moments that have ensured he will always stay in our hearts forever.
