The government has allayed the fears of Ghanaians claiming government’s key social interventions like free Senior High School (SHS) will be scrapped as it seeks help from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). A Cape Coast Circuit Court has remanded three men into prison custody for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl at Abura-Edumfa in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region. Two persons have been reportedly killed by wild elephants who invaded some communities in the North East Region, on Wednesday, August 25. According to a report by the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), the elephants were seen going to Soanvusi, Nasuan through Tuna and to Yankazia.
A mother and her two unidentified children were found dead in their room in Akyem Ntronang, in the North Birim District in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Police at Savelugu in the Northern Region are holding a 43-year-old suspect for attempted rape and assault. The police say the victim, Zarawu Haruna, who hails from Savelugu-Wanzam Fong, reported at their station with multiple wounds and blood oozing from her back and other parts of her body. They said the victim, accompanied by her father, Haruna Awudu, narrated that she was about to take her bath when her father’s younger brother called her into his room. The suspect, Tanko Ibrahim Awudu, was said to have tried to rape her by first trying to strip the victim of the cloth she had around her.

Top story: Strange things will never cease to happen as a town called Dormaa in Bono region, a female goat has given birth to a strange kid with two heads and six legs. The incident is said to have happened on March 23 around 6 pm at Kofi Badu Krom in the Bono Region, Ghana. An eye witness who spoke to Adom FM, the kid goat died immediately after it was delivered by its mother.
