Today’s episode is all about a concept in content marketing that is very important: how to create personas for content marketing. It should be simple, but it rarely is. Developing personas that are accurate and usable targets for your content can be challenging and time consuming. Let’s change that, ok? Brenda, the potato entrepreneur that is featured in today’s episode has been flying blind with her content - creating stuff that seems ok to her, but with topics and points of view that are all over the place. Although the stuff she makes is good, it’s hard to know who it’s for. I didn’t make this up. I’m not sure who did, but it’s true: if you’re creating content for everybody, you’re creating it for nobody. Pick a lane. Pick a target. Aim your content at that target. You’ll be better off. Personas can really help with that.
Personas can be hard, unless you make them not hard. Let’s do that! Scientists use a similar process all the time, in a sense, making educated guesses, called hypotheses, then finding the evidence to support those hypotheses. That’s what Super Space Robot has come to Brenda’s office today to share. Listen to the episode to get some of the details, then subscribe to the newsletter to get your multi-page companion guide to the episode that shares a step-by-step to creating personas the easy way - or at least the less-hard way.
Do it now! Don’t make me send the robot after you.
