Sophomore summer consulting internships are a great way for sophomores interested in consulting to get their foot in the door at their dream firm.

While summer internships for consulting are traditionally for juniors, several leading firms hold sophomore programs - and some are even open to freshmen! Applications typically open in late fall or winter, but each firm has different deadlines.

These programs are an amazing opportunity to connect with a leading consulting firm (i.e., McKinsey, Bain, BCG) and jump on the inside track to a full-time role later on.

In this episode, Jenny Rae breaks down:

  • Why firms offer sophomore summer internships
  • Who is eligible?
  • What you do in a sophomore internship
  • Examples of programs
  • Tips for landing an offer
