Venezuelan singer Betsayda Machado speaks to Michael with the help of a translator. She talks about growing up as one of fifteen siblings, and she discusses the political turmoil occurring today in Venezuela. Michael asks how music gives a voice to the Venezuelan people, which leads her to discuss the importance of tradition and painting her culture through her songs. Betsayda also plays one of her songs directly from her hometown.
