"Your kingdom come; Your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth." (Matthew 6:10) Revelation chapter 2 and 3 reveals to us the desire of Christ for the the kingdom of heaven and the will of God to be on display through the churches. Now, how does this happen? Revelation chapter 4 and 5 Shows the perfect kingdom of heaven with God on the throne with his eternal will sealed up in a book in his right hand. How does that wonderful scene get into the churches? Jesus! The lion of Judah! The lamb freshly slain! Ascends up into the throne room, And through his redemptive work is able to take the book with its 7 seals out of the hand of the Father. He is uniquely qualified because of his redemptive work to open the book and the will of God and the kingdom is able to be known on earth through the churches as it is in heaven. Hallelujah! Enjoy these verses in Ephesians to help see this glorious picture: "Making known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself," (Ephesians 1:9) "In order that now to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenlies the multifarious wisdom of God might be made known through the church," (Ephesians 3:10)
