• After a deadly SEPTA shooting at 19th and Market, riders are now urging city officials to take-action, and for SEPTA to adopt new security features and hire more police officers. There have been 377 homicides in Philadelphia, as of September 12th, 2022.
• While speaking in Arlington, Virginia on Sunday, President Joe Biden reflected upon the terror attacks on September 11th, 2001. Sunday marked 21-years since the attack. Biden emphasized the heroism displayed by ordinary Americans during the tragedy and in its aftermath.
• While appearing on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd, Vice President Kamala Harris defended the Biden Administration’s policies at the U.S. Southern border. In response, Texas Congresswoman Mayra Flores accused Harris of doing “nothing to secure the border.”
• During her interview with Chuck Todd, Vice President Harris referred to the Supreme Court as “an activist court”—criticizing its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
• On Thursday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen touted the Biden Administration’s economic policies, proclaiming: “we have experienced one of the quickest economic recoveries in modern history.”
