Nearly taken out of the game by an avalanche of falling debris, Tate Addison lunges across yet another dimensional gateway to find himself sprawled across a well-manicured lawn in a cool shower of sprinklers. Pleasantly surprised that this time, the surroundings aren't outwardly life threatening, he takes a well-earned walk in the park, only to discover that he has traveled to someplace very different from all he knows, a place where dreams and nightmares weave together to form a complex tapestry that he must somehow figure out how to unravel.
