God used rituals to remind Israel that He had freed them, made them His people, and pointed them toward the coming redemption in Jesus Christ. In doing so, He shaped Israel's identity, passed down a reminder of God's faithfulness to future generations, and emphasized that salvation is experienced within a community of believers. Today, believers continue this through Sabbath, communion, and gathering together, trusting God's provision and remembering Christ's finished work.
