Every idea seems simple upfront.
In my experience, writing an idea start out as a simple task. you believe it’s gonna occur in a short period of time. When you go to actually write the idea you discover it’s far more complicated than you thought.
You can blame this on naivety or hubris, But often you don’t understand the complexity of a situation until you actually are in it.
On the reverse side, if you read an idea that seems too simple, it is often revolutionary. The ideas that you think are so simple are usually more thought-provoking then you first think they are.
Simple ideas can be revolutionary because they speak to many things and can be useful under many contexts.
