When I was growing up, my dad was a Polish immigrant. By de facto, I eat, cabbage, meat, and boiled potatoes every day. If we had boiled potatoes the night before, and there’s leftovers, I would have fried potatoes for lunch. Sometimes I would have leftovers for three or four days. The meals were always meat and potatoes. When I moved away to go to university, I went to one of the most diverse parts of Canada, and to one of the most diverse universities. I remember having such unique meals and being exposed to different smells that I never experience I’ve been to that point. To this day, I have not ate boiled potatoes since. My life is full of interesting meals that I would never of experience without being exposed to all of the wonderful flavors from around the world.
