I can’t read very well.
It takes me extraordinarily long time to read anything. I found out later on in life that I struggle with ADHD, and one of the most difficult things to do is reading.
When I was younger, I used to dread reading in the classroom.
I remember studdering as a kid. I still do when I get nervous.
I still do, except for I forgive myself a little more when I make mistakes.
I will make mistakes when I read. I will skip words and not understand what I read a few sentences ago.
I have realized that is a wonderful trait to have. Most stuff is boring anyway.
For me, the research career is less about understanding of particular topic, more about understanding who I am as a “person.”
