Will Power is a former Indianapolis 500 winner and is now a two-time NTT IndyCar Series Champion. This interview was conducted during the weekend of the 2022 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. He’s won at Long Beach twice and was inducted into the Motorsports Walk of Fame in front of the Long Beach Convention Center. A very successful veteran of the sport driving for Roger Penske, Power is more relaxed this year as he’s relying on his team and his experience having raced Indy cars for so many years. He talks about the start of his season, the challenge of having fast teammates, his outlook going into this year’s Indy 500 and more. Enjoy!

NOTE: Power finished fourth at Long Beach and got his first (and only) win of the season at the Detroit Grand Prix. However, he scored nine podium finishes and three additional Top-Five finishes during the season to earn a spot near the top of the points tally for most of the year. He entered the final race of the year at Laguna Seca earning pole position and breaking a tie with Mario Andretti for the most poles ever! That extra point for pole and his third place podium finish sealed his 2022 championship.
